Chapter 61 Catch that bouquet

RACHEL WOODS POV
They look at me. I took the bouquet and shake it. Yasmin smile and stood up. We stood beside each other and look at the audience. The ladies gathered and waited for our cue. We smiled on each other.
"Ready…catch!"-we both said. When we look back, we both laugh. The one s who catches the bouquet is Daisy and Bambi. They look at the bouquet and cough. They suddenly threw the flowers.
"Ahahaha."-we all laugh. Their reactions are epic.
"Congratulations and best wishes newlyweds."
"Thank you, your highness."-I said. She smiled.
"I m happy to see you marrying the man you love big sister."-she said. I smiled and hug her back.
"It s because of you. I owe you a lot."-I said.
"Just a little bit. Kidding aside, Nathan…can you promise me to protect Rachel from now on? I just ask even if I know the answer."-she mumbled.
"What kind of self claim is that, Cynthia?"
"I am just kidding. I am happy that you finally realize that it is time to taste your wine. But seriously, you are such a gentleman. You have a strong control in your…ahem. Never mind."-she teases.
"Come on, just congratulate us, queen of wolves."
"Sshh. That s a secret."-she said laughing.
"Take your woman here, king of wolves."-Nathan.
"Thank you, Cynthia. I mean it."-I said. She smiled.
"I love you too, sister."-she said. She went back in their table in her own. I smiled and look at him.
"What kind of secrets are you keeping from me, my king? Come on, you can tell me now."-I said.
"Nothing. Okay, this is just my ultimate secret. It s not true that you are brought to the family to be my to be my sister. Cendrea promised me that she will bring me a woman that can be my trained wife. She said that she needs to find me a perfect bride. She ask me to stop being a stubborn pureblood and that s my condition to her. She agreed. It took her 57 years before she came and you are with her. The rest is a story. That s my secret."-he said.
"But why me? I am just a nobody. Why did Cendrea chooses me to be your bride? Especially that you are a pureblood while I m just a hybrid."-I said.
"She always have her own reasons but it was all for a better change that s why I agreed to her and I started changing my lifestyle since then."-he said.
"I see. That s it? There is no hidden child or mistresses?"-I ask. He laugh after he hear my words.
"Nothing. Don t worry. I am too busy watching you grow and be like this."-he said and pet me.
"You lecherous king."-I said. He kiss me instead.
ULYSSES ALEXANDERS POV
Before they went home, Yael talk to me privately. I can tell that he worried about something.
"What do you want to talk about, Yael?"-I ask.
"After this wedding, Yasmin and the others will start investigating Southeast region. Can I ask you a little favor? I just wanted to make sure that nothing happens to them while they re in the enemies region."-he said. I understand his thoughts about it.
"Just tell me what I can do, Yael. They are my citizens, I will surely protect them. They re my family as well, I promise myself I won t turn my back on you guys again. Never again."-I said.
"I m happy to hear that, Ulysses. I just wanted to make sure that they ll be home safely. I just started building my family and I wanted to make sure that I will protect them on my own strength."-he said.
"Do you want to use one of the strong spell of the wolves? You don t have to ask my permission to participate. I will do it voluntarily."-I said. He smiled.
"Thanks, Ulysses. I owe you our king."-he said.
"Stop the formality. I am your best friend, remember. Let s do it then before you guys leave the castle."
"Thank you."-he said it again. We went back on the garden and everyone look on us. I speak first.
"Yael and I will perform one of the strong spell of wolves, this is the wolves starlight spell."-I said.
"But that spell is a strong one. We need 5 alpha s to perform that spell. And why did the two of you think of using that? What for?"-Yasmin. The elders came.
"We are also alpha s. We can help, this serves to be our gift to our favorite alpha s."-elder Ruben.
"We will owe you big time, elders."-we both said.
"No problem, boys. Let s start."-elder Allan.

"Let s start then."-I said. They nodded. We stood in line to form a star. We all cut our palm and let the blood drop on the ground. A Pendragon form, it s a star inside the circle. It starts to glow.
"Um-al-aham, um-al-atum, um-al-ahum!"-we said. We put our palm that we cut on our alpha marks.
"Agh!"-they moaned. It s Yasmin and Cynthia. Their imprint mark starts to glow. Their eyes turns yellow and when the spell ruin stops to glow, they moans in relief. They took a deep breaths.
"What was that for?"-Yasmin said.
"That s a spell where alpha s do. Especially when they wanted their Luna s to use their power. This can be perform by us when we know that our Luna might be in a danger or so."-Yael. He can use two other abilities except to his main power.
"You can go home now guys. Enjoy the night, hmm? You heard the elders, offspring soon."-I said.
"We will go ahead either."-elder Tony.
"We ll go ahead then."-Nathan.
"Go home and multiply."-Cynthia teases.
"Hey, what s with that multiply thing? We will enjoy first."-Rachel. Cynthia giggled. I smiled.
"Good night everyone."-Yael. They left and we all get inside. All of a sudden, Pricilla asks.
"What if Estella know about all this?"-Pricilla. Cynthia smiled and continued to walk inside.
"Don t worry, secrets are secrets."-she said.
"Huh? What did you mean by that?!"-Pricilla.
"Nothing! Good night everyone."-she said. She disappears, Pricilla look at me.
"What did she mean by that? Sometimes the queen of wolves are talking in mystery."-she said.
"It only means that the whole castle are under a spell. Which means enemies can t eavesdrop the things we do here in the castle."-I said.
"I remember. She told us about that. I think the papers in my table makes me dizzy."-she said. I laugh because I knew she is trying to say something.
"I will help you, Pricilla. Good night everyone."
I left them. I saw her sitting on the chair and reading one of her mother s grimoire. I knew she is trying to learn what she can to make herself strong and reliable when emergency comes.
"What kind of spells did that book have?"
"It s about protection spells. I am finding something I can chant to Yasmin and the others. I wanted to make sure that nothing bad happens to them. I don t want to see them in perilous situation like what I witnessed to Chenqian s case."-she said.
"I see. Do that in the bed. You might fall asleep so its better if you do that in the bed."-I said. She smiled and stood up. She grab my hand.
"I agree. Let s go then."-she said. Just like what I have expected, she ends up sleeping while reading this book. The book disappears itself.
"Good night, Cynthia."-I mumbled.
She woke up first. I decided to go to my office and tried to concentrate on working for today. I will never slack again. I have to be a king that deserves by Skyfall. After all, I owe my stepfamily a lot.
"Ulysses…Ulysses! Help!"-she suddenly open the door. I took off my eyeglasses and look at her.
"What is it, queen of wolves?"-I ask.
"Hey, why are you teasing me either. Why does everyone called me queen of wolves?"-she ask.
"Because it s the fact. Tell me what it is?"
"I wanted to eat something. Can you pick it for me?"
CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN POV
He gave me that weird look. He must be confuse whether I am joking or not. I can tell that.
"I am serious. Can you please help me with that? I really like to eat that unripe mango from the highest part of the tree. I want you to get it for me, please?"
"Unripe mango? The one at the highest? But why it has to be taken by me?"-he ask. I pouted.
"I just wanted you to take it…I ll go back in my room then."-I said. He use his speed and hold my thighs. I wrap my hand on his neck. He hold me like I m a baby using his single hand. I smiled.
"What a push baby."-he said. I chuckled. I told him that the three is in the right side mountain of the castle. When we reach that place, I told him to pick that fruit. He put me down and starts to jump on the branches. In just a minute, he is standing in front of me holding the mango in his hand. I take it and smiled. I feel so happy that he take it for me.
"Thank you. You know what, this feels weird. I mean I saw this first and tried to take it. When I remember you, I feel like I won t eat this mango if you didn t take it for me. I think I am more weirder than I always be."-I said. He look at me intently.
"Is there any dirt in my face, Ulysses?"
"Nothing. I am just wondering how can you endure all those bad experiences you had in your childhood? I always think humans are weak because they are easy to be abused and mostly they cried a lot. We meet while your showing me those kind of weakness so I hate it because you are the woman I am looking for. A crybaby and a weak human."
"How come? It s because something is knocking within me telling me that I may suffer today, tomorrow, next month or in upcoming years but life will still be beautiful for me even in fleeting time. Which I have memories like that between those miseries I have. So here I am, fighting everyday for the happiness that made my heart warm and alive."
He hug me and that made me smile.
"I am happy you have endured it well, Cynthia."
"You need to pamper me well, okay? You owe me a lot remember? I am just kidding. On a serious thoughts, Ulysses, I wanted to know you more. We have done what married couples do but we never new each other. On some other basis."-I said.
"I m okay with that. But we have to take it slowly, Cynthia. For now, let s go back or else Pricilla will kill me."-he said. That made me chuckle and we went back. After eating that mango, aunt Miranda came.
"Cynthia, I need to go back in that village."
"Huh? For what reason, aunt Miranda?"-I ask.
