Chapter 72: Skyfall’s banquet (Part II)

ULYSSES ALEXANDERS POV
We look at her. What is she talking about? Why did she suddenly mention Salvador West?
"Salvador, have you heard that its bad when you eavesdrop to someone else's conversations?"
"What are you talking about, Cynthia? Did you lost your brain somewhere?"-Estella. Her eyes turns pink and everything starts to float.
"Karen Gills, I am giving you a warning. I haven't forget what you did to Chenqian. I already told you that if you tried manipulating innocent being again, I won't spare you anymore."
"What is happening here? I'm sorry king Ulysses if we are late."-king Evan. I smiled and nod.
"Cynthia, what is wrong?"-queen Alexa.
She stretch her hand and two alpha's are now floating. They are being frozen and she punch their stomach. They cough. There red worms that fell down the floor. She speaks again.
"Salvador, this is another warning from me. Skyfall will never waver with your threats. As long as I am the Luna of Skyfall, you will never touch this kingdom!"-she shouted. She snaps her finger and the worms turns to ash. Dark smokes comes out from the worms and later on it vanishes.
"Now, everyone...this is also a warning from me. Your Luna, don't drain my patience. I am not as kind as my mother. Once that you tried to harm any innocent wolves and humans, I will kill you and your whole pack in just a snap."-she said. She even snaps her finger and all the window glasses turns to pieces.
"Is this the Luna that you chooses, elders? Someone who threatens the officials and the court and even brings us into a war?"-Estella. Elder Ruben smiled.
"Why Estella, you think if she is not the Luna, we will not be facing a war against the slaying council? You should know that the blue moon is approaching. When that day comes, werewolves have to face their annihilation."-he said.
"That will never happen. I will end the curse."
"Oh? How? Your not the one that the prophecy speaks about. Curses can be cancelled by a powerful witch nor the prophecies instructions. Or it can be eliminated by the one who cast the curse."-elder Allan. She turns pale and then elder Tony speaks.
"Why Estella? You realize it now? Your not even a witch so how will you do it? Even if you do, its either these two, you're the one who puts the curse of your from a highest rank witches of Magus. Your not any of those, isn't it?"-he added.
"No. I am not of course. I am a werewolf."
CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN POV
I can tell that Estella is turning white and she dig her own hole. She didn't even realize that she is the one who put herself into this mess.
"All of us should know that we have to focus on our own problem. The curse will be activated in the third blue moon of the century and that is just a few months from now. I don't care you damn reason, everyone. But instead of being stubborn, you should know yourselves that every single werewolves will all die on that day! Now, if you choose the enemies who aims to kills us for their greediness than to stick with us and protect our kinds? Then die now."
I smiled and laugh softly. I like how Pricilla showed her fangs to everyone even if she's not a Luna.
"What?"-she said. I slowly return all the things that I float over us. I look at her with a genuine smile.
"I love you, Pricilla."-I said. She laugh.
"Gross. I love you two, silly."-she said.
"No matter what choices that you do. Whether you choose our kinds or your own wishes, I have to remind everyone that I will be firm and use my authority. Remember this as a threat and a warning. If any of you will cause any trouble, maybe its your choice to die early. Therefor, ladies and gentlemen, what kind of choices do you wish to take?"-he said.
"Uhm. This chicken is delicious. I better take his majesty's words seriously or else, you won't enjoy eating delicious meal like this."-Yael. I smiled. Having a supportive family like this is something that is worth fighting for. I will makes sure that I'll protect this family no matter what happens.
"I like this steak better. Even this sweet beef ribs."
"This one taste better, sweet and sour fish and this boiled vegetables with sweet sauce is good."
"You have time to eat?"-Estella.
"Maybe we made ourselves clear. Let's enjoy the food that we made for all of us. We didn't want to scare everyone and let's say this is our way to offer our hope that everyone will listen to us."-I said.
We can see their hesitations but they choose to try it and they settled down, later on. I look at him and grab him to the other side. He look at me.
"You already saw it, I know myself that Karen didn't come here. It only means that the phantom worm witch did this. Worm witch? That's a weird name, who even name her like that? Nah, never mind. Ulysses, we have to be careful, the enemy is indeed in our territory."-I said. He look at me plainly.
"Let's talk about that some other time."-he said. He pinch my hand softly and I understand what he means. I let him go and he goes back to her side.
MARKO RANDAL POV
I look around and observe everyone. Being the commander and a beta, I still have the keen senses close the alpha. I have to observe these wolves myself. Chenqian suddenly put some meat on my mouth. I look at her, she giggled.
"Your making it obvious. Try to relax while doing your observations or else they'll be conscious and won't let their guard down."-she said.
"Okay, you have a point."-I said and starts eating. I admit that she looks stunning tonight.
"Look at Nathan and Rachel. They're being so attentive to Gavin. They're like his own parents."
"It only shows that the king and queen of vampires are gentle and loving as well."-I said.
"I am more worried about the two officials who show disrespect to Cynthia. They are the officials that Yael is eyeing for."-she said.
"We better do something or else they'll cause more troubled for the upcoming days."-I said.
"About that worm witch, I think she is responsible about those two alpha's who are being controlled to eavesdrop in this banquet."-she said.
"But Cynthia said that it was Salvador and Karen—damn it. It only means that their allies have been keeping an eye on us even before Cynthia came."
"This must be related to what happened seven years ago. They planned to divide our pack."
"Yael is indeed a powerful wolf but he submit himself to Ulysses. Salvador is afraid of their tandem together."-I mumbled. She nodded and eat some vegetable. Now it makes sense.
"Philip West seems to be making a ruckus in Twinmoon and Dusk."-she added.
"I have to strengthen the securities of our borders and the capital itself. We have to make sure that we know who gets in and leaves Skyfall."-I said.
"Vincent and Pricilla will take care of the rotten part inside our kingdom. I will assist in making plans for evacuation. I will try to do Cynthia's suggestion."
"Are you sure about it?"-I ask. She smiled.
"Cendrea taught me how to be strong and move over my limits. I will do it."-she said. I caress her cheeks and smile on her. She's no longer a kid.
"Okay. Don't overdo it, Chenqian."
"You either. After all, I planned to build my own family myself. We can't die as single."-she said. All of a sudden my heart feels bad after hearing her words.
"We won't."-I said. She just smile and continue eating her food. I just watch her and everyone else. I am pissed off, I don't know why.
"Here, eat some of this."-she said. I smiled and eat it.
YAEL YURIN POV
I can tell that Estella tried to avoid talking with the elders and keep on socializing to the dukes and marquises. But mostly, she is guarding Ulysses against Cynthia. I wanted to punch her or kill her.
"Stop looking at Estella or else everyone thinks that she is the reason why you and Ulysses split up seven years ago."-Yasmin mumbled. I frowned.
"Yes she is. That damn woman."-I said.
"But they'll think that its for a romantic reason. So stop giving them a death glances. Just enjoy your food."-she added. I tried to change my attention by staring on those two who shows their remorse against Cynthia. That Duke, I will investigate you further after what you did tonight.
"I can tell that some of the alpha's and beta's in the court are trying to oppose Cynthia to be the queen Luna of Skyfall."-Ildrich. I agree to his remark.
"But they have no choice, they saw how the elders favored her and even Estella seems to hate it."-Rita.
"The more that the elders support her and remind them for the curse for our kinds, they'll try to understand and observe Cynthia. They can only see how kind she is. Just like Cendrea."-I said.
"There are things that I notice with Estella."
"What is it, Yasmin?"-I ask. She look at her for a while and continue to speak.
"She seems to know more about the curse of our kinds. Its not because Ulysses told her about it or even the elders but because she...I can't explain it. It's like what elders said. As if she did it herself."
"I also notice how she turns while and nervous when the elders out her in a hot seat."-Rita.
"There is a chance that she can be a witch hiding herself as one of us. That is possible, right?"-Ildrich.
"Then if she is a witch. We really have to guard her. Whether she is the one who cursed us or she's the spy that was send to create a problem between me and Ulysses, I will make her pay for it."-I said.
"What are we going to do next?"-Yasmin.
"We have to make sure that we can create a battle plan. A place for battle. That will help us to protect the innocents who shouldn't be in the battlefield."
"I can help with that."-Yasmin. I smiled.
"I know. Your good in strategy and plans, I knew Pricilla will be happy to cooperate with you."
"I will be helping Marko for the meantime."
"That's better Ildrich. Rita, you should ask Chenqian, she'll be in charge for the rescue."
"Okay. I will, Sir Yael."-she said. We continued to eat. I glance at Estella. What is the reason why you're here? Who is the face behind you, Estella Holsen?
