Chapter 71: Skyfall’s banquet (Part I)

CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN POV
I put on his badges on this clothes. He look at me and suddenly hold my waist. I moaned.
"Why did you suddenly kiss me?"-I ask.
"I love you, silly witch."-he said huskily.
"Hey, stop. I know what you are thinking when your making that husky voice. We better go to the banquet hall before you'll do something."
But he stops and hug me from back. He kiss me in my nape and never speaks. I held his hand.
"What's wrong?"-I ask.
"We have been together for a couple of months but you never ask me about the werewolves prophecy."
"Because I want you to tell me about it on your own. I can wait until your ready to tell me what kind of prophecy that is."-I said. He look at me and hold my hand. His eyes seems to be serious and afraid.
"What is it, Ulysses? You don't have to be scared."
"When the next blue moon arrives, the werewolf clan will vanish under the circumstances of a war. Only if an alpha found the lotus blood witch and carry his child, the curse of the werewolf clan will a
be activated and they'll be erased in the history."
"Wait what? Are you referring to blue moon war saga?"-I ask. He smiled bitterly.
"Yes. The blood and magic from the offspring of an alpha and the lotus blood witch can lift up the curse of the werewolf clan."-he said. I smack his chest.
"Then you should've told me about this! We only have several months left. Why you didn't tell me about this from the start?"-I ask. I can feel a little crazy now because I might lose him and everyone else. I am willing to bear our child even things are in chaos at this moment. Even if we still have problems.
"I wanted to say that to you but a side of me is hoping that you'll reject me and the hatred I have for you makes me wonder that I didn't want to have a child from a weakling. Even if I'm no longer under the influence of love potion, we have so many things to do and I don't want to hinder you from growing into an outstanding witch that you deserve."
"I don't care about being the most powerful witch if that only mean that I am losing you. Our family. You and the others gives me a warm home. I don't care about any other else if I lose this life. Ulysses, you should've told me the truth."-I said. I tried to hold back my dismay, my frustrations and fear that suddenly arose in my heart. I can't lose them.
"I'm sorry. Sshh, don't cry. I know its my fault."
As soon as he hugs me, I started sobbing and I can't stop myself from being dramatic.
"No matter what happens, we will be here. Until the end. But when that day comes and we won't survive, promise me that you will continue your life. Strive for the things that you wanted to achieve. Even we're not here anymore, the love we showed to you will stay here. So stop crying, okay?"-he said and kiss my forehead. I clenched my fist and look at him.
"NO. I am not losing anyone. Not you and everyone else. I will make sure of that."-I said. I shed my tears and look at him with courage. His mouth agape, I kiss him and made him feel how much I love him.
"Let's welcome, the king of Skyfall. King Ulysses Alexanders."-Vincent. We entered the banquet hall and everyone is looking on us. So these are the wolves that had a position in the court. As soon as he lets me go, I walk away and let Estella stood beside him. I drag Daisy with me and we left the banquet hall. She looks at me while confused.
"Let's go downstairs. I wanted to confirm my hunch."
"Hunch? What did you mean by that, big sister?"
"Just follow me, I need your abilities with this matter. I trust you and I know you can do this."
"What are we going to do, big sister?"
"I want you to use the spells that you learn and read their aura's. I will protect you while your casting a spell so that everyone won't notice that a witch is using her power in the banquet hall."-I said. We entered on the room underneath the banquet hall. Our eyes turns pink and white. She started to cast the spell while I am doing my part. I can do them both but this is also my chance to know how far did Daisy learn from Ezeron. I smiled. I can see how much she improves even she still struggles with her new body and her age as well. She look at me.
"Some of them are here to cause trouble, big sister. I even saw an strange aura from two beta's."
"What did you found out, Daisy?"
"They have two color aura's."-she said. My eyes widened. That only mean one things. They bring someone with them. I knew that the slaying council won't leave this chance for their advantage."
"Daisy, let's go back and never leave Ezeron's side okay? Don't tell anyone about this. Tell me who are the wolves that your talking about."
"The other one is wearing a rose jade brooch and the other one is wearing a dragon brooch."
"Thank you. I am happy that you have done well in your training, Daisy."-I said. She smiled and look at me. She runs to me and embrace me tightly.
"Thank you, big sister. For helping us and giving us this family."-she said. I smiled and hug her back.
"Me too. I am happy that you guys are here."
EVAN RILES POV
I can tell how surprised and scared Alexa is. She even creates a barrier to protect herself. I sigh.
"Alexa, you should've told me about this before you have taken your next step. Have you ever thought how scared I am? You just fought a 150 year old witch that hides himself for ages. What if you didn't succeed fighting against him?"
"Who are you?"-she ask firmly.
"Your husband and the king of Dusk. What kind of question is that?"-I ask. Then all of a sudden weapons are being pointed on me.
"What did you do to my husband? Tell me!"
"I am your husband. I didn't do anything on myself. You have to change your clothes. I've got an invitation for Ulysses' banquet party tonight. I promise him that we will come."-I said. When I took a step, one of the sword is on my neck and anytime soon she'll be ready to hurt me. I snap my finger. I better let her see who really I am...
"Evan, promise me that no matter what happens... you will never do our ancestors mistakes..."
"Mother, please don't die."-I cried.
"It's better of this way. You are already 117 years old, I know I have mold you to be a witch that won't commit the same mistakes of the past."
"Yes mother. After all, we succeeded in making ourselves a lower rank witches."-I said.
"Thanks to Cendrea, she fulfilled my wish. Son, just remember that you might from the Bernardo's family, you are not them. I wish you a better life from here on, Evan...I love you son."
"Mother...I love you to. I promise that I will have a better life from now on."-I said. She smiled. When she close her eyes, I know I made the right choice.
"Are you sure this is what you wanted?"
"Yes. I will erase my trace as a Bernardo and be a doctor somewhere in any region."-I said.
"Why don't you try to build a nation and be a king instead? I can see a potential in you, Evan."
"Me as a king Cendrea? I don't know."
"I know you'll be. Be careful on your journey, Evan. Let's see each other again in a few years."
Time had pass, I became a doctor until I started keeping refugee's. A small village became a city until it became a kingdom that I named Dusk.
"Here's my gift for you."-Cendrea. I smiled.
"It happens like what you said."-I said.
"Yes. In 20 years you will meet your lovely queen."
"I hope she'll accept me the way I am."-I said.
"Don't worry, she will."-she said and smile.
After I let her see it, she look at me intently. I smiled.
ULYSSES ALEXANDERS POV
I can tell that everyone seems to be conscious and hide what they are trying to keep under their clothes. I drink the wine in my cup and smiled.
"All of you knew that we are facing a war against Southeast region right?"-I said. They stop drinking and face me. I smiled and wait for someone who speaks their minds. The first one who speaks...is the greatest traitor. I cross my arms after I put down my wine glass on the table. Let's add more fire.
"Just like what his majesty said. We have to make sure that we will keep the innocents out of trouble and restrain yourselves from making businesses nor offend humans and the citizens of Southeast region."
"Estella, that's impossible. We all know that because of the mate that his majesty chosen, we are now in feud against the slaying council. She should explain herself."-he said. Just like what I thought. The duke of northwest province of Skyfall speaks first.
"Explain myself for what Duke Browns?"
"You heard it yourself, I hate repeating myself."
"Oh, maybe because I knew myself that I have to face the truth. That everyone wants me to die and create more or greater monsters than us. Witches, vampires, and wolves are already the worst beast that humanity created, I can't let human's to repeat their own selfishness. The three supernatural being are already messed up and if they succeeded in their desires then the sea of blood that we are walking for will became an ocean. That's absurd."
"What is absurd is that you! You are the reason what we will be facing a war. You brought us into a mess that will kill our kinds."-Marquis Cage.
"You have to show respect to the witch that will save us from vanishing in this world. Did anyone forgotten that we are curse because of one thing... Because of your mistake Marquis Cage."-I said.
"Every alpha should remember that being stubborn and stupid had bought us into this mess."-elder Tony. They start murmuring. I smirk.
"The problem is that you showed to me what I should be careful off. Even my own citizens will traitor me for their own selfish wishes. Today's banquet is not because I wanted us to have fun. This is to warn everyone, I am kind and forgiving as long as you admit your mistakes. But now that we are in this situation, make sure that if you choose to commit treason, not in this kingdom. Leave while you can because I won't tolerate such acts."
I crash the wine class in my hand as my eyes turns yellow. I will show them my authority as their king.
