Chapter 68: Let's get started

NATHAN JACQUES POV
I decided to visit that house again and look for clues that I hope I can find. It's been 3 months since the Freud family are being murdered inside their own mansion. I knew that marquis Wiles are lying about this family. They are rich and famous to my kingdom. They are businessmen and known for their charity works. I knew that marquis Wiles had showed envy against this family.
"What are we looking here. We already notice that a witch had clean up the mess here."-she said.
"I always have this feeling that I miss out something on my investigation about their murder. I randomly visit this mansion just to..."-I mumbled. I stop talking when I notice this crystal that this lion statue holds. The moons brightness is making this crystal lights up. But its position can't get enough light from the moon. I grab the crystal and pulled it off the statue.
"Why did you do that, Nathan?"-she ask. I smiled. I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach when she called me by my name. I walk towards the light of the moon. The crystal lights up and then shadow starts to come out. We watch the smoke as it starts to form and made us see what happened at that night of murder. This is what I am talking about.
"Don't harm our son. We didn't do anything to offend the slaying council! Just like what king Nathan told us, we never drink human's blood for over a decade already! Why are you doing this to us?! Take off your hands to Gavin!"-he said.
"Marquis Wiles said that you didn't agree to the proposal of the slaying council. That's...your sin."
"We will never fund such a brutal and nonsense project. We already have three monsters that is being created by humans greed. We will never let another monster that will makes this world in a bloodbath."-Mrs. Freud. We look at each other. The next thing we saw is how Philip West killed them using his sword. Their child witnessed their death.
"No! Mother! Father!"-he shouted. Karen uses her power to make him fall asleep.
"Bring him to father. I know he can think of a way how to use that kid."-he said. The smoke vanished.
"Marquis Wiles...that is why I hate his guts since the first day I meet him 25 years ago. I knew he will traitor us, Nathan. We better rescue that kid."
"Yes. We will do that."-I said in a firm tone. All of a sudden, a mirror appears in front of us.
"Big sister, Nathan, come to Skyfall. We need to discuss something."-Cynthia said. We nodded.
"We're on our way."-I said. The mirror disappears.
RACHEL WOODS-JACQUES POV
We arrived at the Skyfall castle after Cynthia called us. I can tell the anger that arises on my husband.
"Let's have dinner while we're talking about..."
Everyone is surprised to what he did. He turned the flowers and other plants into ashes. Cynthia and I hold her hand and he look on us. His eyes is in crimson. He vented his anger on the plants.
"Calm down, Nathan."-we both said. Cynthia signed me to calm him and she uses her magic to revive the beauty of the garden. I held his face.
"Calm down, Nathan. Look at me...take it easy, okay? We will give the Freud's the justice they deserve. Let's hope that their son is alive. So calm down and don't make any mistakes."-I said. He lay down on my chest and I just tap his back. I know him very well, when innocent vampires are being killed in her own kingdom, he goes mad and kill the culprit as soon as he know who did it. He needs to calm down.
"Are you looking for the young Freud?"-Yasmin.
"We have been investigating about the real reason of their family's slaughtered. We both didn't believe to Marquis Wiles report. Just a moment ago, we found the evidence that we needed. Philip West and his gang is responsible in their death."-I said.
"Will you kill them for me, our king?"
A boy appears between Ildrich and Yasmin. That's the young lord of the Freud. We both look at him.
"He manage to escape from their laboratory by acting as a defective test subject for moonacre project. Salvador is the culprit we are looking for."
"How did you meet him Yasmin?"-I ask.
"We went to Southeast to investigate and we bump into him while were trying to find the laboratory."
He walk towards the kid and put his hand on his head and they look on each other. Their eyes turns to blood. Cynthia walk beside me and look at them.
"I promise."-he said. Gavin smiled in a peaceful expression. I can tell that the kid had suffered a lot.
"Go home with us and stay in the castle for the meantime. Let's keep your existence to marquis Wiles."-I said. He nodded. Cynthia clap her hand.
"Then let's all eat!"-she said. I chuckled. She always brings smile into a heavy situation. The food comes out from the castle and she prepared the table using her power. She became strong and I am happy that she managed to find home even if she suffered a lot. When the table is ready, I grab her hand and embrace her. I caress her hair.
"You've done a lot, little sister. Thank you."
"I love you too, Rachel."-she said. That made me laugh. She just smile in the cutest way possible.
YAEL YURIN POV
She put some food on my plate and that made me smile. I really miss her even if she left for 4 days only.
"Ulysses, I have to warn you about the Eastern province."-I said. He look at me and he sighed.
"I know. I already notice the anomalies on that region. The Black ogre pack is making trouble and even doing business with Philip West."
"They are trying to control that province. Some packs are already controlled by them."
"I want you to coordinate and communicate with other packs who still chooses to fight against their dominant actions."-he said. I nodded.
"Leave that to me. I already contacted some of those packs. By tomorrow or the next day, I will set my visit on Eastern province."-I said.
"Nathan, that marquis. What kind of threat he might cause in your kingdom?"-he ask. His jaw tightened and he seems to be mad. Its obvious.
"He is connected to the son of that coward. They must be doing business under my nose. Now I remember about what happened to gem village. Among the villages, that's the most peaceful one and most of the vampires on that village are strong and loyal to me. He must be the one who pointed that village to those slayers."-he said.
"Let's keep on digging about our own territories. We have to make sure that we know who are the allies and treasonous."-Ulysses.
"We only have a short period of time. One of their test subject is near to its perfection. I can smell bloodbath anytime soon."-Cynthia. We all stop from eating and look at her. She is serious.
"The blue moon is approaching in two months. We only have weeks to create a plan. The one who wanted to control the time. She is a witch. Someone who hides behind the mist."-she added.
"That only gives us more things to do. We have to create a plan on how to evacuate each citizens that shouldn't be in the battlefield."-Ulysses.
"Chenqian, I am giving you a month to strengthen your abilities. You have to practice to put millions of beings in your canvas."-Cynthia.
"Millions? What did you mean by that?"
"We will reside the citizens of five kingdom's in your canvases. Those who are strong and had the highest rate to survive in the battle will stay and fight with us."-she added. She has her point. That's better.
"But that's very short period of time."
"We can reside them into shelters and use barrier spells to protect them."-I said. Clara speak.
"That's right. We can help with that."-she said.
ASHLEY BRIDGE POV
He decided to go back in the capital to start his plan. He will investigate about the marquises, dukes and other officials. I will start my investigation as well. I have to know about the queen's past.
"Vice commander, I already prepared your horse."
"You will be in charge here until I'll come back. Make sure not to fall into troubles, soldier."
"Understood, vice commander. Be safe in your journey."-he said. I nodded. I already use the talisman that Cynthia gave to me yesterday. Her request is still ringing in my ears...
"Cynthia? What's with this sudden visit of yours?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to see you and also..."
"What is it? Just tell me."-I ask. She sat down.
"Ashley, can you investigate the queen for me?"
"The second queen of Dawn?"-I ask. She nod.
"Yes. I just wanted to know what kind of woman she is. How did she meet my father and things that might be sketchy about her."-she said.
"Why did you want to investigate about the queen's identity?"-I ask. She look disturb.
"I have this hunch that the queen is a witch herself like mother. I just wanted to know what is the reason why she seduced father and her connection to mother if they have."-she said. I nodded.
"That makes sense. Leave it to me."-I said.
"Thank you, Ashley. I know I can entrust you this."
I took a deep sigh and hold the leash of my horse. I look at the soldier that I trust to be in charge.
"I will be back shortly. Make sure that no one will slack on their duties."-I said. He smiled and nod.
"I will vice commander."-he answered.
"Good, hyahh! Let's go, Alko!"-I said. My horse started to walk then run. I will start on that village. It will be just three hours away from this border. I heard once from the queen that she live in Friar's peak since she was 10 years old. Let's see if she's not lying or what kind of secret did she hide in that village. It took me two hours to reach this place.
"Hoo! Alko, stop. We are here."-I said. I get down and drag my horse on the village gate.
"Stop. Who are you?"-he said. I lifted my badge.
"I'm sorry, vice commander."-he said. I just smile.
"Its okay, your just doing your job. Have a nice day."
I get inside and the first thing I notice is the lively and much better lives and houses in this village. Unlike the other villages, this village seems to preserve their lives before queen Cendrea died.
"Can I ask about this orphanage?"-I ask.
"Follow that road and turn right at a flower shop."
I smiled and walk away. So, this is the orphanage...'
