Chapter 55 Half-way and progressing

THIRD PERSON S POV
The door opens and the bosses entered. They are now seeing the capsules where the subjects lay down. We bow down on them. They stood up.
"How s the progress of these subjects who pass the phase 3?"-he ask. I spoke.
"The phases are now stable than what it used to few weeks ago, my lord."-I said.
"We have collected what we needed to do the ritual. We only have to wait until the phases is completed."
"Make sure that no one will discover this laboratory or else our plans will be at stake."-he said.
"Don t worry, my lord. Our allies had make sure that this place is well guarded."-I said. He nodded.
"We only have two phases left, isn t it?"
"Yes, my lord. But the next two phases is quiet complicated and I am afraid that these specimen might be cut in half."-I said. He look at them.
"I don t care if a single specimen will be left behind. Your job is to make sure that someone of these will pass all the phases needed."-he said.
"Of course, my lord. May I ask, did the treaty council learn about our experiment?"-I ask.
"Yes. The pureblood heiress of the Maximillian had awaken. She straightly say on the treaty meeting that someone is trying to create a new monster in this world. Which means her mother had left evidences of her investigation 20 years ago."-I said.
"I suddenly remember what Cendrea Maximillian did 23 years ago. Good thing that she died before she have done more damages in our experiment."
"Exactly. She is one of the threat that we have been avoiding for decades."-I said.
"I am quiet concerned about Cendrea s daughter. She seems to gather strong allies in kingdoms and regions."-she said. She finally spoke after standing and staring on the capsule.
"I also noticed that. Unlike Cendrea who usually helps young kids that have survive from different disasters. Technically, those seeds became a strong ally of her daughter. But she is still a young slate and I knew that she is still struggling. She grow up in a way that we wanted."-he said.
"We still have to be careful about that woman s presence. We have walk this far in this experiment, we can t afford to lose what we have started."
"My team will have a meeting after this. We will be more alert and guard this place better."-I said. They smiled and look at me. I better do something.
"Make sure of that. You know what would happen if this facility will be discovered, right?"-he said. I gulp.
EZRENE MAXIMILLIAN POV
I drink my tea when my brother stood beside me. I m happy that finally we have left that damn kingdom. We have suffered a lot and aunt Cendrea is right. We will find a home on an unexpected turn.
"Ezrene, are you okay?"-he ask. I smiled.
"Yes. I can finally sleep without thinking that they might have killed you and I ll be killed either."-I said.
"Ezrene, did you saw how powerful our cousin is? Do you think we can retrieve the properties and wealth that clan leader take from our family?"
"I don t know, Ezeron. For now, let s enjoy this peace. I don t want to think any of that. Maybe if Jillian will be the clan leader then we can retrieve our parents wealth and even what should be left to Cynthia s hands."-I said. He nodded.
"Before I forgot. Dallas gave me this and ask me if I can hand it over to you. The kid is sorry for the accident that happens on that lunch time."
"What is this?"-I ask. I open the box. It has a beautiful hair ornament. The jade is beautiful and the rubies makes it more pretty. I smiled.
"Let it pass. He is just a kid but I can sense that he is a responsible one. Maybe we can train those two kids to use their powers. I guess it s a good way to wash away the stress and bad memories I have while I m clan leader s possession."-Ezron.
"Okay. Leave that Dallas kid to me."
"No problem. Don t you think Daisy is quiet a beautiful kid?"-he ask. I pulled his right ear.
"Stop thinking lewd thoughts to the kid silly witch."
"I didn t say that I am into kid. I can wait for the right time. She is still have a child senses. I am not pedophile, big sister."-he said. I let him go. I laugh.
"I am happy that we can finally enjoy peace in our own space, Ezeron. Cynthia is like aunt Cendrea. They are both kind and strong in every way."
"I agree with that. I also see different faces that aunt Cendrea help. They became an allies to know the shady businesses of evil people."-I said.
"I hope that one day at least a true peace will be found. I mean there is no evil beings who chases mode black magic. A much better peace than what we have now."-Ezeron. I sigh and watch the stars twinkling in the sky. I knew we will have that.
"We will have that. As much as we chase for it. But I am more afraid of the perilous path that we have to take to chase that true peace."-I said.
"I will train my body and my power, big sister. I wanted to make sure that I can help everyone when war or battle happens."-he said. I smiled.
"Of course, we will do that together."-I said.
DAISY PLAINS POV
I drink another potion given by mother. She said this will help me to cope up with this age that I became. It s effective and my mindset grows up like my body. My older brother also drink this potion."
"Ezeron will be your mentor in the things you need to learn about using your power, Daisy. And you, Dallas. Ezrene volunteered that she will help you in your training. Both of you should behave and listen to them, okay?"-mother said. I nodded.
"Mother, is mentor Ezeron had a wife?"-I ask. She gave me that questioning expression. I laugh.
"Don t tell me you have a crush on Ezeron, Daisy?"
"I don t know mother. But I remember on the first day they came here, my heart is beating fast when I first saw him. Remember when you ask me to send his meal?"-I said. Mother must have forgotten that I can have crushes like my old friend way back in the village of Dawn. I wish one day, I will be able to find dad s bones. I wanted to make a gravestone for him.
"Mother, do you think we can find father s bones now? We might give him a proper burial now."
"I also remember father. Where could he be?"
"I will use my power to find him Daisy, Dallas. Don t worry. I will make sure we can give your father a proper burial. I promise."-mother said.
I am now standing in front of my mentor. He look at me and held my hand. I blushes. Why am I acting this way? Am I nervous or had a crush on him? No! I m just 10 years old…? I mean 20, I don t know!
"You have to think what kind of magic you wanted to learn. For example like me, my specific power is a white magic. Here s some magic that might suit you. Just pick one and I will teach you the basic ones—"
"I wanted to be a witch like you!"-I said. He laugh. He place his palm on my head. I pouted.
"I am not your pet."-I pouted. He smiled.
"Aaaahhhh!"-a loud scream stops us. We look around, that is big sister Cynthia. What happened?
"What s wrong? What happened?"-big sis Pricilla.
"Ohh! Cute. Not a bad idea."-big sis Cynthia.
"Is that a giant panda?!"-Chenqian. She nodded.
"Uhm! I saw a wild panda at the backyard and I accidentally made him this big."-she said. My eyes twinkled and went to them. It s soooo cute!
"Waahhh! It s so cute! Can I pet him or her?"
"It s a girl. Maybe you tried to fly over."-big sis.
"Or shrink it again, Cynthia."-Marko. She chuckled and brush her head. She snaps her finger. As soon as the panda became small, I ran to it and hug it.
"You can name her, Daisy."-she said. I smiled.
"I will name you…Bambi!"-I said. Big sis smiled.
MARKO RANDAL POV
Everyone is surprised for the new family who makes this cold castle into a warm place. I approach Ulysses. I wanted to talk to him regardless of what I have in mind. We don t know what exactly will happen in the future. I hope my decision will be the best to protect her. I don t know why but I wanted to protect her and shield her from everything.
"Can I have a minute, Ulysses? In your office."
"No problem. Let s get inside."-he said. I followed him and when the door closes, we sat down.
"What is it Marko? Is there any problem in borderlands?"-he ask. I shook my head.
"For now, we are still at our own fleeting peace. I just wanted to talk to you about the betrothal proposal that you suggest a couple of weeks ago "
"And…why is that? I thought you have made up your mind? Or are you ready to tell me who is the woman you wanted to be your mate?"-he ask.
"Yes and no. I don t have any woman in mind. I am too busy on my duties as the commander and most of the time, I spend my free days with everyone."
"Okay. Then this is all about Chenqian? Are you agreeing to my options for you? But…I wanted to know the reason why you changed your mind. You already said that your not the type who can learn to love someone. You believe that it should be a spark on the first times that you two felt on the first meeting. The typical love at first sight."-he said.
"Yes. I said that. But I guess this is my way to keep Chenqian safe. She made decisions out of impulse and empathy. I am afraid she ll be in greater danger than what she experience in one of the villages of Dusk kingdom. I wanted to protect her Ulysses."
"You always do. Whether you are her brother and her friend. I already understand why you choose to marry her. Maybe I ll agree and you will found it yourself. This is not just your issue of protecting her even more. You are afraid. Afraid that you will lose her without realizing what kind of woman she is for you. Are you sure you wanted the marriage now? You can do the common stages of dating."
"Dating? No! I am not thinking of that."-I said.
"If that s what you think then so be it. Then when do you want to do the ceremony. You know very well that you have to mark her."-he said.
"If we can do it in three days then that will be good."
"She can stay here in the castle. After all, everyone usually sleeps here. We have 180 rooms on this castle."-he said. I just smile and shook my head. We heard noises outside. Is that Estella? Who is that other woman?! What kind of trouble she get?
