Running The Woods

JUSTICE'S POV:

I woke up and Nick isn't anywhere in this house so I decided to go on a run. My legs started runnins as fast as they could go, I started to breathe heavily as I inhaled and exhaled. I'm not sure where all of my energy is coming from, I mean, I've never been this energetic. I was never able to run as fast as I am right now! It's like I can't stop myself from running this fast! My legs and lungs feel like they are on fire as my footsteps pounded on the ground in the woods. As I ran through the woods, the branches and leaves whipped across my face, small scratches appear, but this doesn't stop my run.

Branches lash up agains my arms, scraping them, leaving cuts on them, but that doesn't stop me. I feel like I'm never going to stop running! Weaving around the trees, hoping off and on large stumps and rocks without a care in the world. This is amazing to me, I have all of this energy that I never had before and I'm loving it! If this is the wolf inside of me, then I'm glad this happened to me.

I can't wait to inform Nick about this, he will be so proud of me! Then I hear the sounds of someone or something running from afar, it motivated me to run even faster because I'm curious to see what's ahead of me. Racing to find out what this noise is, I tripped and fell onto the ground, there was a branch sticking out and my foot got tangled on it. I hoped up quickly and kept running, as I got closer to the sounds of grumbling, looking right in front of me, it's a dog eating off of the ground. I suddenly stopped and stared at this dog, I wanted to go after it, but I didn't.

Watching this dog for a few moments, the dog picks its head up and turns it towards me, it started to bark, then I started to howl, alluringly. We both stare into each others eyes, then the dog starts running, I start running after it. I'm not sure why I want to chase this dog, but something in my body is motivating me to chase it. The dog starts running faster and jumps over the stumps and rocks. The dog runs faster than I could, I can't catch up to it, so the dog ran off into the woods and I couldn't see it anymore. But for some reason I was hungry for that dog, I'm not sure why, but I was.

Piercing through the woods, I hear another noise, but this time its coming from behind me. "Could it be that damn dog again?" I thought. As the noise gets closer and closer, I realize that this is no noise from a dog, the footsteps are too heavily to be a dogs footsteps, so I stop dead in my tracks. When I turn around to see what is behind me, I was surprised, I'm standing here staring Nick straight in his eyes. His eyes started to sparkle as he looked me in my eyes.

We stood here for a moment looking at each other then I raced towards him, grabbed him and gave him a hug. He hugs me back and caresses my back. I'm surprised he didn't ask me what I'm doing out in the woods, this tells me that this is what we do as wolves. I feel relieve to know that this is why I'm running the woods. It feels great to be able to just run forever!

I pulled away from Nick from his hug and I started running again. I'm going to see if he can keep up with me! As I run ahead of him, he tries to get close to me but he stumbles, then I turn around and chuckle at him, so I run faster. He can't keep up with me, this must be my power as a wolf. I've ran at least three acres in the woods and I'm still going strong. I start zigzagging to keep Nick wondering where I'm going. I came up to a fallen tree, I had no choice but to jump over it, and I did.

When I jumped over the fallen tree and I'm on the other side of it, I look back and Nick is racing to catch up to me, he sees the fallen tree and he jumps over it. Right after he's on the other side of the tree, I run again.

My speed increases as I come to a hill, a steep hill, I run up to the top of the hill and look down to the bottom! That's when I stopped and waited for Nick to catch up to me! What I saw at the bottom of the hill, is beautiful. There is a pond with small flowers around it. As I stare at this beautiful pond, Nick must have sprinted up the hill because he's already standing beside me. I grabbed his hand and said, "OMG. Look, look how beautiful that pond is! Lets go down to see it!"

We grab each others hand and walk down the hill. It's not as wasy as running up a hill as going down, so we just walked. Once we came to the bottom of the hill, I quickly let go of his hand and went straight to the pond. I couldn't believe how beautiful this looks, I mean there are different colored flowers planted all around it, blocks of stone surround the pond, each block of stone is layered ontop of each other with three layers. On the opposite side of where we are standing there is small waterfall running into the pond, the sounds of the water splashing into the pond water is just so calming and relaxing. On that same side there are two steps of stone that lead into the pond! I can't believe this! It's just so pretty!

I look at Nick and ask him if he want's to go sit in it! Its a warm day, so why not! He looks at me and shruggs his shoulders, so I take my clothes off and walk down inside the pond.
