The Breeding Pair

CONRI'S POV:

Today is going to be just me and Star. I must show her how to love in the pack and make her stronger incase anything happens to me. I must make sure she is able to protect herself from the enemy. I'm going to show her how to survive in the wilderness, how to use her powers against the enemy for survival, and how to use all of her senses.

I'm going to show her how to use her senses when hunting and which ones are most important. I will take her out into the field, then I will take her on a hunt and have her use her senses. I want her to be prepared for anything that comes her way. If I don't do this now, I'm worried if something happens to me then she will not be able to protect herself, I could not live with myself if I'm not able to protect her. The only way that I can love with myself if something would ever happen to me is, showing her how to be fierce, how to be effective, how to make good judgements if I'm not around. I want her to stande up for herself and her beliefs and since she's a Luna, she must take on many responsibilities whether I'm here or not.

I'm going to wait outside for her since she's still asleep. I don't want to wake her jsut yet, it's still early morning, I figure she'll need all the rest she can get since she'll be starting to work that stupid night shift. I'm not liking her working those hours, but it's a good offer and I'm just going to deal with it. But I'll be watching to make sure she's okay at those ridiculous hours of the night!

I'm gong to make it a point to meet her boss. I've never met him and I'm foing to make sure I find out what he's like. I don't trust too many people and this is my way of finding out if he's doing right by my girl!

I'm gonna go inside and check on Star. We must get started soon! It's going to be a long day, not for me, but for her. When I got inside the house, she was already up and standing by the stove, so I slowly walk up to her and put my arms around her waist and kiss her on her neck. She jumped a bit then I said, "Good morning babe." She turns around and kisses me then says, "Well, good morning. You're up early." "I know. It's going to be a you and me day today! I'm going to show you how to live in the wild," I chuckled. "Ohhh. Hmmm. This sounds interesting. Have a seat at the table, I'm making some hot tea," She replied.

I sat at the kitchen table while she poured me a cup of tea. She sits down across from me and sips on her tea. Our conversation started.

"So, what's this training going to be like?" She asked.
"Well, I feel that you're ready to learn some new things that we must know in our pack. I want you to be able to hunt, protect yourself, and know when to attack the enemy," I said.
"Wait. What? I'm a little confused. You mean we have enemies?" She replied
"Yes. our lives living as a wolf will never change. We are always going to have enemies. It's been like this for many, many years and I'm going to show you how to protect yourself if there ever comes a battle between our pack and another pack," I said.
"Oh. Wow. I didn't realize all this. I never knew this is how the pack lives," She replied confusingly.
"Yes. That's why I do all my training with the other members. This is how my father taught me and this is how I'm going to teach my pack," I replied.

She shrugged her shoulders and said, "Okay. I'm ready to learn."

We sipped on our hot tea until it was gone. After that we got ready and went out into the field. The first thing that I will teach her is how to use her senses. While we stand in the field, she stands in front of me, we look each other in the eyes and I begin to inform her about her new wolf senses.

"The main power that you have right now are sense. I'm going to make sure you know how and when to use these. First, you have the sense of sight. You will be able to see miles away from you. Second, you have the sense of hearing. You will be able to hear far, far away and even the quietiest noise. Third, you have the sense of smell. You will be able to have an incredible smell for things, like a 100 times more than a human. These three are the most important to have. I'm going to take you out into the woods and have you hunt. With these senses, you will be able to find any animal that's around.

You must know of your surroundings. We're going to go into the woods now! I know you're ready. Star and I walk from the field into the woods. As we walk through, I'm making sure that she knows what will happen when she senses something is near. So I explain to her that when she senses a predator she will have a burst of energy run through her, this is to secure her prey. Then I make sure to tell her, she will chase her prey for a long distance, even miles to find the right opportunity to attack her prey.

Then I went on to make sure she knows that we have two ways of hunting for our prey. One way is to capture the prey by our nose and the other way is to attack from behind.

While we continue through the woods, Star looks at me nervously. I look at her and said, "Go. That's your call."
