The Surgery

STAR'S POV:

Me, Conri, and Nick agreed with the doctor to go ahead and do the surgery. We thought about what the doctor had mentioned to us and the best thing for Justice is to have this surgery.

'I just can't believe all of this has happened!'

I'm so worried about Justice, and I feel like I'm falling apart because I cannot heal her. My healing powers are not that strong yet. Since this happened, it makes me realize that I must practice hard each day so that I can heal people when this sort of thing happens.

The doctor went back inside Justice's room and informed his nurses and staff that they must prepare her for the surgery. I glanced out of my eye and saw the staff that's working on Justice increase their speed to get her ready, my heart instantly dropped as I saw them roll her bed down the hall.

Tears escaped as I watched them. My fingers started to tighten hard as I become so mad that all I want to do is go find Ben and kill him. But I know that I cannot do that because Justice needs me right here for her. I'll wait until I know she is okay and then I'm going to get him, when he least expects it.

Conri and I sat with Nick in the waiting room and I can see the saddness in his eyes, it looks like he wants to cry but I know he won't. He thinks he's too strong to cry.

'Nick mumbles under his breath.'

"How could this happened to my girl? Who did this to her? Why? Just why?"

For several minutes, I let Nick get his feelings out and I listened to him silently. I feel he must get it out, he too must be strong for Justice, especially when she's healing from the surgery. I can't even remember how long the doctor said the surgery will take! I'm going to ask the nurse as soon as I see her, maybe me and Conri can take nick to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat while she's in surgery and recovery.

Ten minutes later, I walked up to hte nurses station and asked them since I haven't seen her nurse. The nurse looks at her reports and she said that the surgery will take about an hour to an hour and a half. I thanked her and walked back to Nick and Conri. I sat down for a moment then asked the guys if they want to grab something to eat, which they agreed so we walked to the cafeteria.

We ordered our food and sat at a table. Our food arrived, we ate and chilled in the cafeteria for a bit. We figured, what else were we gonna do but wait in the waiting room and become frustrated.

After we sat in the cafeteria for nearly an hour, we went back up to the waiting room, we figured Justice will probably be getting out of surgery and the doctor will want to come in and inform us about how's she's doing. Once we got back to the waiting room, we ssit there and start taling about what had happened to her. We all know this came from Ben and his pack. So we started discussing a plan of attack on him and his pack once we hear news about Justice.

Conri mumbled, "I'd like to go rip his face off, right now! He's going to be destroyed soon, very soon."
Nick said, "I can't wait to get him! I'm going to look him dead in the eyes and claw at his face to where he cannot see or talk!"

The two of them go back and forth about the attack on Ben as I sit here and listen. I nod my head up and down in agreement and I actually will help them when they attack. I will not have anyone do this to my friends and family! This is all uncalled for, Ben is and insane piece of shit that he should have left well enough alone and now he's done! He better watch his back!

I scruntched my nose in discustment. The more I think about what had happened the more I become angry and sick to my stomach. The only thing I can think about is, "Justice better be okay! She better pull through this!"

All of our legs start shaking, impatiently waiting for the doctor to come out and let us know how she did. No sooner than five minutes the doctor came in the waiting room. He tool off his maks and gloves and said, "She did good! She's in recovery right now for about another hour. The bullet was lodged in her lung, I had a hard time getting it out, so she's going to have to take it easy. She will need a lot of help when she goes home, for now she will stay in the hospital and do therapy until she becomes strong enough to go hime.

We all look at each other in a bit of relief. The doctor left and we continued to wait in the waiting room until the nurse makes it clear to us when we can go see her.

It was good news to hear, but we must take care of her when she gets home, In fact, I will take care of her and I do not care what it takes, I will do everything in my power to help her. I'm just glad she's going to be okay!

I can see a small smile on Nick and Conri's face. We are all just so glad she's going to be okay! She doesn't have to worry about getting help because she has all of us and the rest of the pack to help her when she get's home!

The nurse finally comes into the waiting room and mentions that she's out of recovery and we can see her, but we can't stay long since she just had a major surgery. She suggested that we go see her one at a time and of course Nick goes to see her first, we didn't care who went in first, we are just glad she's okay!
