The Unexpected

CONRI'S POV:

Everything that just happened is wrong!

Justice did not deserve all of this, why would Ben do this to her? She never did anything to him. She should not be going through this right now and I know Nick is furious about this, I can see the expressions on his face.

Star and I wait in the waiting room while he's in Justice's room visiting her.

The nurse had mentioned to us that we cannot stay long to visit her so I'm sure Nick will be coming back out then Star will go visit her. She'll probably sleep the rest of the night since she's been through all of this bull shit. Just as I was thinking about this, Nick comes back to the waiting room. He sits down and Star goes in to see her.

"Well, buddy, how is she doing?" I asked.
"A-Ahhh. I don't know. All she did was sleep while I was in there," He replied.
"Oh man. I'm sorry buddy. I wish there were something I could do to help her," I said.
"There is! Lets get Ben! I'm so angry right now and I'm just staying calm for Justice. She needs me right now," He said.
"That's right. She does need you. Don't worry, we will get him soon!" I replied.
"I sure do need a drink right about now! My emotions are so mixed," He said as he snarled.
"I know buddy, but you must stay strong so we can get ben in the worst way and mainly for Justice!" I replied.
"I know, I know," He said softly.

Star made her way back into the waiting room, by the look on her face she seems concerend about her for some unknown reason. I went into see Justice for a bit.

I didn't stay in her room for very long probably just about ten minutes since she's asleep, so I walked back into the waiting room where Star and Nick sit. We don't know what's next or if we will sleep here in the waiting room since we didn't get to talk to Justice. Maybe Nick will want to stay the night here, Star and I should get back home and make sure everything is okay there.

I mentioned to Nick that we must get back home to check on things there, he nodded his head up and down and said, "Go. Go check things there, I'll stay here in case Justice wakes up."

I tapped Nick on his shoulder then Star and I left. We hated to leave him but there is nothing we could do and knowing She's in good hands we felt that it would be okay to leave.

Star and I get back home and all we could do is stare out into the reserve. We just can't believe all of this had happened. We look at each other and walk into the field to get things cleaned up. We rustle out in the field to finish this mess, we really didn't want to even look at the blood left from Justice, it just brings back what had happened to her and we want to forget about it and move on, now that she's going to be okay.

It took nearly two hours to get this place back to normal, and now we are beat, it's been a long, long day. We are going to go inside and relax. Star made up a cup of tea and we sit in the living room watching tv with our legs propped up on the coffee table.

We are about a half hour into this movie and Star's phone rings. She left it in the kitchen because we want alone time to recoup from everything. She starts to stand up to answer her phone, I pulled on her arm and said, "let it ring. This is our relaxing time. Who could it possibly be anyway?" "Yeah. you're right." Star replied softly. The phone rang seven times, but she let it ring. I can hear it in her voice that she's upset over all of this.

I'm trying t comfort her the best way that I know how, I cuddle her in my arms and kiss her forehead and just hold her close to me.

Moments later, her phone rings again, but whoever is calling let it ring four times and hung up. We both look to each other and shrug our shoulders. Then her phone rings again and again, it rings off the hook, Star stood up from the couch sternly and went into the kitchen and answered her phone.

While I'm sitting on the couch I hear Star talking loudly, "What! What do you mean? I'm so confused," She said. So I walked into the kitchen and wrapped my arm around her waist and asked her, "what's wrong?" She pointed her finger up for me to hold on.

I'm not sure who she is talking to, but it seems like this is a bad phone call, so I'm curious as to who this is! Suddenly, Star has tears in her eyes, so I instantly said, "Star who is that and what's wrong?' She put the phone on mute and lowered it to the side of her leg and said, "It's Nick. He's frantic. Something is wrong with Justice." I told Star to tell him that we will be right there and we are leaving now. So Star told him and we quickly left the house.

We arrive at the hospital and walk straight to the waiting room that we were in. Nick's not anywhere in here, we assume he's in Justice's room. I mentioned to Star that she should give him a call to let him know we are here, so she did and Nick entered the waiting room in a matter of minutes. We have no idea what's going on, but when he entered the room, he is frantically crying.

Right at that point is when we knew something bad happened to Justice! We try and try to ask Nick what's going on, but all he can do is cry!
