Two World's Collide

CONRI'S POV:

I do not like that guy. I just met him and I know there is something suspicious about him. I don't know what it is yet, but I'm going to find out. As soon as I can stand, I'm going to call a meeting with my pack. I want to find out more about this Ben dude! Star hasn't told me much about him, it seems like when his name is mentioned she kind of gets nervous and wants to talk about something else.

I'm going to hate doing this, but if I have to go behind her back to find out more about him, then I will. I'm only doing this to protect my girl. This leg should not take long to heal. This reminds me that I must show Star how to use her healing power, since this happened to me and she was not able to heal this, it's time she knows how to heal wounds.

She'll get it quick, this is the most easiest power we have as wolves. All I really must do is tell her how to use her power, the rest will come to her.

My mind races back and forth, I don't know where to start since this happened to my leg. I know it will take sometime to heal, but I must keep going, I can't let this stop me from doing what I must do. Now I have a feeling that this Ben dude is no good! I'm thinking that Star should not work nights, this dude seems creepy to me and I don't want Star around him.

I think the more I sit around, the more I keep overthinking things. I'm not one to just sit and sit, I'm one to keep busy, either out in the field or doing something around the house. I'm getting tired of this, I'm going to try to get up and walk on this leg, with or without pain. I know I'm strong enough to do this on my own.

I call Nick and the rest of the pack for a meeting at the reserve. I called Nick first so I can talk to him privately about Ben, I don't want the rest of the pack know about him just yet. Once I find out about him, then I will let them in on my plans for him.

Star is asleep and I don't know if she works tonight or if she's just tired. This is how confused I am since I got hurt. I must get myself back to normal, If i don't then I'm going to be no good to Star and my pack. While Star sleeps, I'm going to go out into the reserve and try to practice. This is the only way that I can get this leg back to normal, I can't sit around all damn day.

While I'm in the field, I start with some exercises. Just to get this leg stronger. For now, I do these exercises sitting in a chair, once I can feel my leg getting stronger I'm gonna go full force at what I must do.

Nick arrives before the rest of the pack, we walk to the tent, go inside and sit down.

I begin to mention to Nick about my feelings about Ben. It's funny because Nick stopped me as I was talking about Ben and said, "You know, I have the same feeling about him. I've heard Justice talk about him and I don't care for him." Right after Nick had mentioned that to me, I knew it. I knew my feeling about Ben were right!

I sternly said to Nick, "I'm not sure if Star works tonight, but I am going to that hospital where she works and I'm gong to confront Ben. I'm going to make it clear to him that I'm Star's man." Then I ask Nick if he is coming with me? Nick didn't respond quickly, but he said that if I need him there, he will go with me. The only reason that I will need him there is if Ben tries to do anything, I have backup because my leg isn't strong enough yet to do this on my own.

The plan now is, I'm going to ask Star if she works tonight. I inform Nick to wait a few minutes while I wake Star up and ask her. I went inside the house and nudged Star. She opens her eyes and I ask her if she works tonight? She said groggily, no." I gave her a kiss and told her to get more rest.

I went back outside and yelled out for Nick, he came out of the tent and I waved to him to lets go. We went to the hospital. We stayed outside and waited until we could see Ben. We aren't even sure if he's here or even if he's working. But we knew he would have to come here at some point. Our suspicious feelings about him make us believe he is around here somewhere, he's so sneaky.

We hide behind the bushes that surround the side of the emergency room doors. We kneel down and stay on our knees so no one sees us. Nick and I whisper to each other while we wait for Ben. We waited nearly an hour here for him, then suddenly he walks out of the emergency doors. I tap Nick on his shoulders and say, "there he is. lets wait to make our move until he gets closer to us, we will pull him into the bushes."

Thankfully it's a bit dark out and no one is around. When Ben neared us, I grabbed him and pulled him in the bushes. Nick held his mouth shut so he couldn't yell. I look him dead in the eyes and say, "I don't know who you think you are, but you better not be messing around with my girl, Star. I've heard some complaints about you and your actions, so I want to make it clear to you to stay away from her! If you don't then you will deal with me and my pack."

My eyes started turning yellowish and the wolf is starting to come out inside me. I must control the wolf, if I don't, this would be a big mess. Nick holds Ben's arms as I keep talking to him. Suddenly I saw a glear in his eyes, it's like his eyes are turning yellow also. That's when I knew what I was messing with. Ben's a shifter also.
