The Birthday Party

STAR'S POV:

I'm so over all of this!

I'm so pissed off at Ben right now. He always seems to ruin things for Conri and I. But this time, it's not going to happen. We will be stronger than that, he will not cause any trouble with us anymore. Ben's got me so frustrated, I'm not sure if this is what he wants to do to me but it's working. I can't let this happen, not now, I'm not going to ruin Conri's party.

I have so much to get done today and I also have to go to Justice's and make sure she has everything finished. I'm going to sneek out of here and head to her house. When I arrived at her house, I started walking to her front door and I had to stop, I feel my chest heavy in and out, trying to catch my breath, I put my hand on my chest. I must calm down, I feel like I'm having a panic attack. I'm sure this is all from Ben and what he is doing to us, but I cannot let this stop me from making this party a success.

Inhaling and exhaling deeply, I'm starting to calm down, I knocked on her door three times, she answered the door on the third knock. We went inside her house and sat at the kitchen table. She can see I'm in distress so she asks me what's wrong, I told her I'm just nervous about this party and making sure everything is done. She looks at me and says, "we got this. No worries."

"Whew," I replied.

Nick is leaving to take Conri out for a drink so we can set everything up at the reserve. Nick leaves to get him, Justice and I pack everything up that she had done for the party and we leave about fifteen minutes after Nick. We wanted to make sure Conri didn't see us carrying all this stuff, he'd wonder what we were doing.

Once we arrived at the reserve, Justice started setting up the tables and chairs by the tents while I finish with the food. She set the tables up and put table covers on them, she blew up some ballons and taped then to the tents, she hung up a HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner on Conri's tent.

Conri's friends should be arriving soon. Justice sets the plates, napkins, paper cups on the tables at each of the seats. She comes inside and grabs the bags of chips and the cheese and cracker trays as I continue to finish making the chicken.

She brought the chips and cheese tray outside and set it on the food table, then she came back in and grabbed the drinks and set them out on the food table. I grabbed a cart to set the hot food on and we both brought it outside. When I saw how Justice decorated, I became so relieved and happy. This party is going to be a success and I cannot wait to see the expression on Conri's face when he gets here!

We set the chicken, corn, baked potatoes, and buns on the food table and brought the cart back in the house. We went back outside and waited for everyone to arrive.

It was ten minutes later and everyone started showing up. I sighed in relief! This is going to be a hit and Conri has no idea about any of this. We all mingle, waiting for Nick and Conri to arrive, Justice came over to me and said that Nick called her and they are a few minutes away, so I quickly went to the front of the house to greet him when he got here.

Conri and Nick finally arrive. I greeted Conri, gave him a hug and a kiss and walked with him to the reserve. Once we were standing there everyone yelled out, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Conri stands next to me with his jaw dropped and says, "OMG. Did you do this for me?" "Yes. With the help of Nick and Justice! I wanted to surprise you!" "Oh. I'm surprised. Thank you babe. I love you!" Conri said. "I love you too. Now go have fun," I said.

I love the look on Conri's face. He's so happy and I'm happy for him. With everything that has happend, I'm glad I could pull this off. If it wasn't for Justice, I don't know how I would have done this all myself. She's the absolute best and I am so thankful to have her as my best friend!

I see Conri is having a good time mingling with all of his friends, I'm so happy right now! Nothing will or can ruin this for us! I was so worried that Ben would try to do something stupid and ruin this party. I think we showed him and now he will leave us alone!

Everyone is having such a good time, so many laughs and jokes!

While I stand by the food table holding my drink, Conri walks over to me.

"Babe. This is great! Thank you for doing this for my birthday! I don't know how to thank you," Conri said.
"You don't have to thank me. I love you and all I want is for you to be happy!" I replied.

Conri hugs me and starts kissing me. We start making out, he had a few drinks so he's feeling pretty good right now, but I had to make is clear to him that we can't do this right now or right here, I chuckled. I told him to go have fun with his friends before they leave and I'll catch up with him later and we will finish what he started in bed tonight!

Conri gave me a grin and said, "Alright babe."

Conri walks away and Justice comes up to me, we stand side-by-side and stare at everyone. Holding my drink I said, "I don't know how I would have done this without you! Thank you so much. I love you."

"I love you too!"

Right as she said that, we hear a gunshot!
