Without A Trace

BEN'S POV:

It's Star. Star is working tonight. She didn't call off for that Conri! This helps me believe that maybe, just maybe she doesn't want to be with him anymore. Now that he's hurt, she probably doesn't want anyhting to do with him. Maybe she realizes he's not as tough as he says he is.

"Ahhhh. I've done my job for now!"

She looks so damn sexy walking, I can't help myself from staring at her, but I know she cannot see me. If she see's me, she will know I was at their hunting grounds and this cannot happen yet. I must get her on my side before I can reveal myself to her. Conri knows about me now, but I'm not sure if he will let Star in on our little secret. Maybe I'll confront Conri tonight and demand that he doesn't let it our that I'm a wolf.

There is to be no trace of my wolf. No one knows about me and that's how I'm going to keep it. I'm so mad because I can't let Star see me, since I have this patch on my eye, she'll know. The frustration inside rages, staying away from Star is killing me and this is going to be for nearly a week. The more I sit around here, the more I become frustrated.

Just knowing that Star is here and I'm not able to see her beautiful face is becoming harder and harder for me. There is just something about her that makes me turned on to her, more and more each day.

"Ahhh. My mind must stop this. I'm going to mess my plan up If my mind keeps racing like this!"

Instead of me just sitting here thinking about Star, I'm going over to Conri's ground and I'm going to make it clear to him, what he has done to my eye and he better keep this a secret or I'm going to destroy him and his pack!

Arriving at Conri's, he and his pack are doing someking of training. I'm going to hide-out in these woods and watch them. Conri is so dumb, he and his pack train right out in the open, as if no one can spy on them. What is he thinking? He must be pretty stupid to think no one can see them. I'm going to sit on this big tree stump that's laying on the ground and peek through these trees to watch them. When the pack leaves, that's when I'll make my appearance to him.

Spying on Conri an his pack give me ideas of how to train for battle with the enemy. I'm the best wolf out here, but Conri does have a few good ideas about defending theirselves. Maybe I'll steal one of their ideas and fit it in my defense mode. I'm wishing his pack would leave soon, I'm getting tired of just sitting here spying on them and it looks like it's going to storm. I sure as hell don't want to be caught in a storm!

The rain starts to fall, I knew this would happen and all I can do it sit here under the trees. I'm thinking about just going to Conri whether is pack is with him or not, I'm not gonna get drentched or worse yet, struck by lightning! I'm just going to go to him, just as I stood up, I heard Conri dismiss his pack since the rain is falling profusely. As soon as they leave, I'm going to run to him.

Moments later his pack left. Now I'm going to make my move! Conri went into his tent, running full foce from the woods, I arrive at his tent and walk inside. Conri looks at me.

"Look what you did to me! Are you happy you did this to my eye? Now I must keep this patch on and hide from everyone so no one finds out that I'm a shifter," I yelled. "You. I can't believe this! You're the enemy, Star's boss! What the hell," Conri said. "I am. And I'm going to make this clear to you right now! You better not mention a word of this to anyone, including Star. If you do, I'm going to destroy you and your pack. You got me?" I said in hostility.

Conri just looks at me like I'm crazy and says, "Who do you think you're talking too? I'm the king of wolves and I willl tear your and your pack up, just like I did to your eye and that's not half of what I'll do to you. Stay away from my girl and I'll let everything go! Do you got me?"

"A-Ahhhhahah-you will not tell me what to do, ever. So you better prepare yourself. The battle has just begun," I replied.

"Go. Just go, get out of here," Conri pointed to me and said.

Just so we are clear, do not say a word of this to anyone or you will die. Conri looks away and I left the tent. I'm going to leave my mark on his grounds, so I stood at the begining of the woods and picked up a large tree stump that looks like it had been here for a long time and threw it on his field. It made a pounding sound, Conri looks out from the tent and notices what I just did and stares at me. I saw him stare, and that's all I needed to see and then ran off.

The thoughts of him being scared complete what needed to be done for now! He's scared and that's all that I needed to do. He will not say a word about htis to anyone, especially Star. I've scared him.

The feeling of relief is so good because there will be no trace of me doing anything bad, and that's what I want. Conri now knows that I'm not messing around and I will destroy who and what that I must. Now he knows, I"m the king of wolves, not him. I'm stronger and more powerful than he ever will be.
