Ashes To Ashes

STAR'S POV:

As soon as I saw Nick in a state of panic, I knew something was not right with Justice. He couldn't even speak, I hugged him tighlty and I could feel his body trembling. A deep breath was all it took and I knew what was coming next from his voice. I knew we were going to hear bad news about Justice, and I was so right about it. Nick mumbled and cried at the same time and said, "It's Justice. The doctors and nurses rushed in her room, there are complications due to surgery or something and they are working on her right now. That's all I know as of now!"

I look at him and said, "she'll be alright, she's a fighter." Nick sat down next to Conri, I helped him over to the waiting room chair, he seems like he's out of it and I'm worried about him. So I reassure him that everything will be okay with her.

'Right now all we can do is wait for the doctor to come out and let us know what's going on with her."

Suddenly, Nick looks to me and asks me if I could heal her! I was stunned by that question. I couldn't even say a word at the moment, I had to think deeply, how am I going to heal her from internal wounds? How can I do this? So I looked at Nick and said, "Oh Nick. I wish I could. I will try to think of a way! I promise, but I'm not sure I can heal someone from internal wounds."

No matter how bad I want to help Nick and especially help heal Justice from this, I'm not so sure that I can do that. I must think what I can do to fix this, if I can.

We all sit here patiently waiting for the doctor or nurse to come in and give us information on her.

AN HOUR LATER:

The doctor and nurse both walked into the waiting room, the doctor pulls off his mask, as soon as I looked into his eyes I knew what he was going to say, and all I could do was hold back my tears.

The doctor politely said, "I am so sorry. We did everything we could. We couldn't save her, she lost a lot of blood and passed away from internal bleeding."

Nick jumps up from his chair quickly and runs outside to the front of the emergency room doors, but this time he is not crying, he has the most dangerous look on his face. Conri and I ran after him, we must try to calm him down or he's going to do something bad and we don't want that just yet.

While talking with him outside, he mentions to us that we must take her from the hospital. I look at him in the most confusing facial expression like, what the hell is he thinking, taking her from the hospital when she passed away! Then he mentions to us that we must try to heal her on our own, we are werewolves and we can heal her better than the doctors can.

'All I could do was stand here still in shock, I don't know what to say.'

I think Conri is in shock also because he just stand next to Nick, he hasnt' even said a word.

Then Nick comes up with this idea that we must take her from the hospital tonight. He made it clear to us that we cannot leave her here at the hospital.

'What are we supposed to do?'

Nick then heads back into the hospital and stands at the nurses station, he waits for paperwork. Conri and I still stand outside and whisper to one another, "what are we going to do about this? I asked. "A-Ahhh, I'm not sure, if we don't help Nick then he will come here later and do this on his own. I mean maybe I could help him somehow!" Conri replied.

Conri and I wait outside for Nick since there is nothing more that we can do in the hospital. That's when the tears roll down my eyes heavily.

Ben is going to get paid back for this! He better watch his back because he's done! I'm going to do to him what he has done to Justice! No one will stop me, no one! If he thinks this is over, well, he better think again because the battle is just beginning!

Nick walks outside and the look on his face is as if he's going to kill Ben. Like go after him right at this moment.

We walk back to the reserve and on the way Nick mentions to Conri that they must come back when it becomes dark out, he wants to take Justice from the hospital, he want's me to try to heal her back to life, which I'm not so sure that's even possible for me to do. I know we are wolves and things are different from human life, but this, this is beyond what I can do.

'I guess I will try though."

I explain to Nick that I will try my best but I'm not sure that my healing powers are that strong or even if that's possible. He must be in a state of denial because all he said was, "Conri and I are going to take her from that hospital and bring her here so that you could heal her back to life!"

All I could do was to agree with him, I didn't want to upset him anymore than he already is. I did make it clear that I'm staying here while they do what they must do.

As soon as it became dark out, Conri and Nick left to go get her. I'm just in shock about all of this, I can't believe this is even happening! Now he wants me to heal her back to life! What the hell is he thinking! How am I going to do this?
