From Death to New Life
CONRI'S POV:
Seeing a small movement over where Justice is, I nudge Star sitting next to me and quietly mentioned to her to look at Justice. I didn't want to make Nick upset if it so happens that I'm just seeing things since all I've been doing is staring at Justice for hours upon hours.
Star looks at Justice and blinks her eyes to clear the gaze from them. She looks back over to me and says, "I don't see any movement." I told her to keep looking so she did.
The full moon is at it's brightest moment, and we still keep our eyes on Justice. Then suddenly Nick blurts our, "Conri, Star, did you notice that?" "Yes. We both did, Nick!" I replied. "That was a movement from Justice, I'm almost positive that it was," Nick said. "We think so too, Nick," Star said.
Nick jumps from his chair and makes his way to Justice. He wants to get close to her to make sure that what he saw was true. Me and Star follow him to her and now we all stand on the side of her, staring at her. We will wait to find out if it was really a movement from her or if it was just the wind swaying the sheet back and forth.
We still stand here watching what will happen next, if any. About ten minutes later, we hear a howl, it's not any of us so it must be coming from Justice. The next thing we know is, the towel flew off from Justice, her howls are getting stronger and she jumps up from her laying position. But she's not a human, she's the wolf.
We all turn our heads to each other with our eyes bulging out. She came back to life as the wolf!
Justice looks at us as if she doesn't know who we are. I'm hoping nothing went wrong here. Maybe this is the full moon doing this to her, she seems so strong, stronger than before, or maybe Star healed her this way! to be stronger than ever!
Her pointed teeth start to show and she raises her claws up to the sky and howls profusely.
We must secure her soon, if we don't she may run away because she may not remember anything from her life before. We will inform her on her past life once she becomes stable enough to listen and understand what we tell her. Nick went into one of the tents and found heavy, thick rope so that we could tie her arms and feet together gently.
We hate doing it this way, but it's the only way we can control her madness right now. I mean, the wolf inside her is becoming mad.
Star walks up to her and calls her by her name, figuring she'll remember somehting. Justice stopped howling and looked at Star, leaning her head to the side, as if she knows who Star is.
I'm waiting for Nick to get back here so we could secure her so I mentioned to Star to keep talking to her.
As Star talks to her, she calms her down for some unknown reason. I'm not sure how she's doing it, but she is.
"Well, Star is the healer in the pack!"
Nick finally returns from the tent with the rope hidden behind his back. If Justice would see the rope, then she would more than likely take off. Star walks closer to her and she backs away a bit, Star moves closer while she reassures her that everything is okay. When she nears her, she grabs ahold of her hand gently and says, "Justice, it's me. Star!" Justice just stares into her eyes while Star holds her hand.
She seems to be calm at this point. I'm sure she has a feeling that Star is a good person and that she will not hurt her. Once Star feels that she is okay with her, she grabs ahold of her other hand, gently and says, "Justice, it's okay. We are your friends and the other guy is your boyfriend. You don't have to be afraid of us, we are here to help you."
Nick and I stand back until Star gives us the okay to get close to Justice. We don't want her to run off into the woods, if she does, then we won't be able to find her.
I look at Nick standing next to me with the rope, ready to secure her, I ask him if he thinks we really need that rope and all he could do is shrug his shoulders. So he still holds the rope behind his back incase we need it. Star tries to get her to walk with her to one of the tents but she's not having it. I'm not sure if she feels we are going to hurt her or if she just doesn't remember anything from her past life.
As Star tries to reassure her that if she walks with her everything is going to be okay, but Justice pulls away and hows loudly, she starts to walk away slowly, then suddenly Nick is behind her, holding her tightly, then he lowers her to the ground and ties her arms and legs together gently though. He does not want to hurt her, but he must do this so she doesn't run off.
After Nick secures her with the rope, me and Nick carry her to one of the tents and lay her on one of the tables inside. She's thin so we didn't have any trouble getting her intot the tent, we are going to keep her safe inside of here until she realizes who she really is!
Star stands right beside her, she keeps making it clear that no one is going to hurt her and that we are here to help her.
Nick and I let Star talk to her because she will have more luck than us since Star is the healer! As she talks to her, we suddenly see a tear coming from her yellow eye. All we can do is stand right beside her and hold her until the full moon passes.
