STAR'S POV:

I'm getting used to this new way of living in the pack. I mean, this is so different than living as a human. I have powers that I would have never had as a human. I am thankful that Conri had found me. At first, I wasn't so sure about all of this, but now I'm the happiest person in the world.

Conri and I continue to hunt in the woods. He shows me how to use my senses when hunting for prey. At times, we goof off a bit then get back to hunting. We run through the woods, jumping over puddles of water, large rocks, and tree stumps. After about a mile of running I stopped and had to take a breather. I inhaled and exhaled deeply, bent over a bit with my hands on my knees. Conri looks as me and asks me if I am okay. Of course I said to him that I am, I just had to take a breather.

Then I look at him and say, "I can't find any prey."
"Sometimes this happens and It's okay," He replied.
