Chapter 108 A Private Chat
"What did you say? You're Tina's boyfriend?" Eric's face turned dark.
"That's right, Eric! He's my boyfriend now. So you can leave!" Tina stepped forward and said.
"Tina, are you out of your mind? Weren't you supposed to dislike him? And yet, you're letting him be your boyfriend? Are you doing this just to provoke me?" Eric frowned.
Eric suspected that Tina suddenly being with Royce was probably to show off to him and make him angry.
"This is my own business. Who I am with has nothing to do with you," Tina asserted confidently.
"That's right! What does it have to do with you?" Royce chimed in enthusiastically.
After a pause, Royce sneered and continued, "But you are shameless! You got dumped by Tina, but you still came here. Don't you realize that you're simply not worthy of Tina?"
"Royce, do you know what happens to people who dare speak to me like that? They don't end up well." Eric's eyes flickered with a hint of coldness.
George also spoke up, reprimanding Tina, "Tina, you're simply being foolish."
George had been trying to get Eric and Tina together, and now Tina was causing all this trouble. Of course, George was angry.
Although Royce came from a wealthy family, George still looked down on him because Royce's wealth was comparable to his own. George was looking for a son-in-law who was even more impressive than his own family.
"Uncle, you should be happy that Tina is leaving this poor person. Tina can never be happy with someone like him," Royce said to George.
"Nonsense! What do you know?" George said angrily.
Eric interrupted George. "George, this is my issue. Let me handle it."
Upon hearing this, George stopped speaking.
George knew Eric's true identity, and he understood that Eric could easily deal with Royce. So he didn't say anything more.
However, in his heart, George thought that Royce really was overestimating himself. How dare he be arrogant with Eric? It was tantamount to seeking his own death, and it might even end up ruining Royce's father as well.
Eric looked at Tina.
"Tina, I came to see you today. Can we talk privately?" Eric said seriously.
A trace of hesitation flashed in Tina's eyes, but then she firmly said, "There's nothing for us to talk about."
At this moment, Royce stepped in front of Tina and arrogantly said, "Bastard, you want to talk privately with my girlfriend? You should first ask if I agree, understand?"
The arrogance and smugness on Royce's face were undisguised, as if he were showing off to Eric, boasting about successfully stealing Tina.
As Eric looked at Royce in front of him, his expression grew darker. An uncontrollable anger shimmered in his eyes.
Eric tolerated Royce spreading rumors and defaming him on the internet.
But now that Tina had already been involved with Eric, he naturally regarded her as his own woman.
Daring to taint his woman? This is Eric's forbidden zone, something he absolutely cannot tolerate!
"If that's the case, let's talk privately. Shall we?" Eric's gaze grew cold as he stared at Royce.
"Sure! I'd love to have a private chat with you," Royce said with a nonchalant smile, appearing indifferent.
The two walked out of the villa and headed toward a corner outside the door.
"What do you want to talk to me about? Spit it out," Royce said, crossing his arms and looking unconcerned.
After all, in Royce's eyes, Eric was just a poor guy with no money or power, so he didn't take him seriously at all.
"You spread rumors on the forum to slander my reputation, didn't you?" Eric said coldly.
"What do you mean by spreading rumors? I'm just exposing your true face, okay? You want to deceive others and pretend to be a rich person for their admiration!" Royce said triumphantly.
"I can tolerate that, but when it comes to Tina, I'm sorry, my tolerance is zero. I'll give you a chance. Please leave Tina." Eric's tone remained icy.
"What? Did you ask me to leave Tina? Are you ordering me? Who do you think you are? What credentials do you have?" Royce said arrogantly.
"I am the Chairman of the Power Group's New York branch. Is that enough?" Eric said coldly.
"What did you say? Haha!" Royce burst into laughter.
"You impostor! Are you pretending to be the chairman of the Power Group to intimidate me? It's fine if you pretend to be a rich heir to deceive others, but do you think I'll believe you?" Royce laughed.
Upon hearing Royce's words, a flicker of anger flashed in his eyes.
Eric didn't get angry easily, but once he did, the consequences were unimaginable!
"It seems that you don't cherish the opportunity I gave you. I guarantee that you will regret your decision. Then you will definitely come and beg me," Eric said, full of cold intent.
"Is that so? Then I'll be waiting, haha!" Royce laughed heartily and walked back into the villa.
Eric didn't go inside but instead turned around and left.
Before this, Eric had only regarded Royce as a clown and had no intention of interacting with him.
But this time, he had provoked Eric, and Eric would undoubtedly make him pay a heavy price!
During Royce's conversation with Eric just now, another conversation was taking place inside the villa.
"What are you doing? Weren't you the one who hated Royce before?" George looked puzzled.
"That was in the past. It's different now," Tina said confidently.
Tina paused for a moment and continued, "Besides, dad, aren't you only concerned about the background of the man I date? Royce's background is better than Eric's. What else could you be unsatisfied with?"
George shook his head wryly.
Just then, Royce walked in.
"Where's Mr. Phillips?" George asked.
"Uncle, I scared him with a few words, and he ran away," Royce said, pretending to be suave.
It was clear that Royce was boasting.
George sneered and shook his head. Royce might be able to deceive others with his words, but not him. He knew Eric's background, and there was no way Royce could scare him.
Royce continued, "Uncle, this guy is just a poor man. Why do you call him 'Mr. Phillips'? That's giving him way too much credit."
George still shook his head. "Royce, you've made the biggest mistake of your life by offending him. Remember my words."
"This guy is good at deceiving people. You haven't been deceived by him, have you?" Royce said.
"Alright, you can leave now." Tina waved her hand at Royce without even looking at him.
"But Tina, I haven't had dinner yet," Royce said, clearly not wanting to leave.
"Your dinner is your business," Tina said as she walked upstairs.
Seeing Tina's indifference, Royce thought to himself, "You may act haughty toward me now, but one day, I will have you under my control!"
...
After leaving Tina's house, Eric drove to a villa in his Lamborghini.
When Eric arrived at the villa, there was already an elderly man with gray hair standing at the entrance.
This gray-haired man was Robert from the New York Business Association. Before the last auction started, Robert had come to meet Eric and even left him a personal business card.
Eric had already contacted Robert on the way there.
After getting out of the car, Eric was greeted by Robert, who rushed to Eric's car with a smile on his face.
"Mr. Phillips!" Robert said eagerly, shaking hands with Eric.
"Hello." Eric greeted Robert with a handshake.
Eric entered the villa, and Robert had someone serve Eric a cup of top-quality hot tea.
After taking a sip of tea, Eric said, "Robert, I need a favor."
"Mr. Phillips, please don't be polite. Whatever you need, just tell me. I will do my best," Robert said with a smile.
"Then I'll get straight to the point. Help me invite all the billionaires in the New York business community. The venue will be the Monn Mount Hotel, and the time will be tomorrow noon," Eric said.
