Chapter 110 Bad News
This company had been Jones's partner for many years, so he quickly answered the call.
"Hello, why did you call me suddenly?" Jones had a smile on his face.
"Mr. Jones, I called you to inform you that our partnership is terminated, and we will never work together again." The voice on the phone sounded cold.
Jones was very surprised. "What? Terminate our partnership? Are you kidding me? We've been working together for so many years, and now you say it's over? Besides, you have been supplying raw materials to Jones's Group and making a considerable profit every year!"
The sound of the call being hung up came from the phone.
"Damn it! They hung up on me!"
Jones angrily threw his phone on the couch.
Then he sat on the sofa and said fiercely, "How dare you terminate our partnership? I'll go find another raw material supplier. Without Jones's Group, you will lose out on so much profit in a year."
Jones couldn't understand why the other party suddenly terminated their cooperation.
Just then, Jones's phone rang again.
"Hello, sir. You're usually very busy. What made you call me?" Jones said.
"I'm calling to let you know that I'm terminating all cooperation with you from now on," came the indifferent voice from the other end of the line.
"What?" Jones was shocked. Why were they ending their cooperation?
Just as Jones was about to inquire about the reason, the other party hung up.
At that moment, another call came in, and Jones saw that it was another business partner calling.
"I've decided to terminate all cooperation with Jones's Group." The other party cut to the chase.
After saying that, they hung up without giving Jones a chance to ask why.
"What's going on? What the hell is going on!" Jones's face had completely darkened.
If it were just one company suddenly ending their cooperation with him, he could consider it a coincidence. But when so many bosses called to end their cooperation with Jones's Group at the same time, could he still think it was just a coincidence?
Just then, the phone rang again, and Jones saw that it was another boss calling.
As for the intention of the call, it was still to terminate cooperation with Jones's Group.
Throughout the afternoon, Jones received multiple calls. Every company that had cooperated with him, regardless of the size or depth of the partnership, wanted to terminate their cooperation with Jones's Group.
Jones really wanted to ask them why, but these bosses hung up the phone directly after speaking, without giving him a chance to ask why.
"Can someone tell me what the hell is going on? Why?!" Jones roared in anger while fiercely smashing the cups on the table, venting his anger.
One company suddenly ending their cooperation didn't have a big impact on Jones's Group.
But if so many business partners suddenly terminated their cooperation, the impact on him would be significant, and it might even lead to bankruptcy.
"So many companies want to terminate their cooperation with us at the same time. This is a planned attack!" the secretary next to him said.
"Of course, I know! But I can't understand who in New York has such great power to make so many companies cut ties with me at the same time! Besides, I haven't offended any influential figure recently!" Jones's face turned grim.
Jones had been racking his brains, trying to figure out who could be behind this, but he just couldn't think of anyone.
"Well, what should we do now? All our business partners are cutting ties with us. This could possibly put Jones's Group in an unprecedented crisis!" the secretary said.
"I need to contact other potential companies and find new business partners." Jones's expression turned serious.
The atmosphere turned heavy.
Immediately after, Jones made a phone call and contacted several companies that he had always wanted to collaborate with.
To Jones's surprise, they all flatly refused!
"Damn it! These bastards used to beg to collaborate with me. Now that I want to work with them, they refuse! Can anyone tell me why?" Jones's face turned ashen.
Jones was well aware that if this continued, Jones's Group would be doomed.
After much thought, Jones called a boss with whom he had a good relationship.
"Can you tell me why all the companies that collaborate with Jones's Group are cutting ties? Do you know who's behind all this?" Jones asked.
The boss on the phone pondered for a moment and said, "You have offended Mr. Phillips of the Power Group New York branch. He has called for the entire business community in New York to boycott you. That's all I'm going to say. I have something else to attend to, so I'll hang up now."
After the other party finished speaking, they hung up directly. Apparently, even this boss wanted to distance himself from Jones.
Jones's phone slipped from his hand and fell to the ground. He was clearly shaken by this news.
"It's... It's Mr. Phillips?"
Jones swallowed the dryness in his throat. He was well aware of Eric's background.
And he knew that, with Eric's background, it was absolutely possible for him to blacklist Jones's Group.
At this moment, Jones suddenly realized that Eric had invited many bosses to dinner today, but not him.
"Why would it be him! I... I haven't offended him!" Jones couldn't figure out the reason why Eric would target him. He was sure he hadn't offended Eric or the Power Group! How could Eric mobilize the entire business community in New York to blacklist him?
At this moment, the deputy general manager of Jones's Group rushed in from the door in a hurry.
"Something happened!" As the deputy general manager ran in, he shouted, appearing extremely anxious.
When Jones heard the words "something happened," his heart sank.
"Tell me, what happened?" Jones asked immediately.
"We have many guests in our restaurants," the deputy general manager said.
"Well, that's a good thing." Jones looked puzzled.
"These guests are all from the Power Group Security Company. Once they enter the restaurant, they order the cheapest dish and occupy all the seats. They sit there all day without any intention of leaving. Even calling the police is useless because they have placed an order and made a purchase," the deputy general manager explained.
"The Power Group's people? This must be Eric's doing!" Jones said angrily.
Jones's Group made its fortune in the food and beverage industry, which was also one of its main businesses.
Jones knew very well that if Eric kept sending people to disrupt his businesses every day, his food and beverage empire would be completely ruined.
"Prepare the car. I'm going to meet Eric!" Jones said to his secretary.
Jones knew that his only way out now was to find Eric, ask him why, and then beg for his mercy.
Otherwise, Jones's Group would truly be finished.
Chairman's Office, The Power Group
Eric received a call from the front desk.
"Mr. Phillips, Mr. Jones is here to see you."
"Is he alone? Did his son come with him?" Eric asked.
"It's just him," the front desk replied.
"Tell him to bring his son as well!" Eric said, then hung up the phone directly.
At the Front Desk
"How did it go?" Jones asked hurriedly when he saw the front desk hang up the phone.
"Mr. Phillips has asked you to bring your son and come see him," the front desk said.
"My son?" Jones was taken aback.
He instantly realized something.
"I understand now. It must be this little bastard who offended Mr. Phillips!"
