Chapter 144 Tina

"Yeah! Good idea!" Donald slapped his thigh, his face lighting up with excitement.

He chuckled, "This plan is genius. There is no way Wolfman can take a bullet for Eric no matter how tough he is!"

He quickly turned to Oliver. "Oliver, go hire a hitman right now. Money's no object!"

"Don't worry, Mr. Hall. I'll take care of it," Oliver nodded.

"Good! This time, no matter how capable Eric is, it won't matter!" Donald let out a wicked laugh.

Over at Silverbrook University, in the classroom, Sharon walked up to Eric. "Eric!"

"Sharon, it's you!" Eric looked up, surprised and happy to see her.

He hadn't expected Sharon to come to him on her own.

But Eric felt a bit troubled because he couldn't accept her.

"Eric..." Sharon hesitated.

Eric noticed she didn't look well. Did something happen to her?

"Sharon, if you have something to say, just say it," Eric said.

"It's nothing." Sharon forced a smile and quickly walked away.

"Sharon!" Eric called after her, but she didn't turn around.

Eric was sure Sharon had come to him for a reason, but since she didn't say anything and just left, there was nothing he could do.

Kyle, sitting next to him, sighed.

He knew about Eric's situation with Sharon and Tina and felt helpless for him.

"Eric, I've got a suggestion that could be a win-win," Kyle said with a grin.

"Oh? What is it?" Eric looked at Kyle.

"Why choose? You can have both of them, so you don't have to struggle." Kyle laughed.

"Have both of them?" Eric was stunned.

He shook his head with a bitter smile. "Stop giving me bad ideas."

"Alright, Eric, just take it as a joke. I won't say it anymore," Kyle said.

"By the way, Kyle, why haven't I seen your girlfriend lately?" Eric asked.

"I broke up with her. After she found out you had money, she kept pushing me to ask you for some. How could I stay with a woman like that? So, I broke up with her," Kyle said.

"It's good you left her early. Otherwise, she would have ruined you." Eric nodded.

After class, he and Kyle walked down the main road of the school.

"Eric, look over there, quite a turnout. Let's go see what's happening." Kyle pointed ahead.

Eric and Kyle walked over.

When they got closer, they saw two student council members promoting an event.

"This is a masquerade ball organized by our student council, held together with Silverbrook College of Finance. The main purpose is to make friends!" a student council member said.

"There are a lot of pretty girls at Silverbrook College of Finance."

"Yeah, this ball is basically an opportunity to make boyfriends and girlfriends, or even for one-night stands!"

The surrounding students were buzzing with excitement, eager to participate.

"Tina is here!" one student shouted.

The crowd suddenly stirred, and then Tina walked into the crowd.

Apparently, she was passing by and saw the crowd, and she wanted to see what was happening.

"Tina!" When Eric saw Tina, he walked up to her and greeted her, "Tina, what a coincidence running into you here."

"I wasn't expecting this." Tina rolled her eyes at Eric.

This scene immediately caused the surrounding students to whisper.

Eric had no choice but to step back and say nothing more.

At this moment, the student council member continued, "For this masquerade ball, our school has 80 spots, 40 for boys and 40 for girls. Girls can join for free, but they need to be selected after signing up. Boys don't need to be selected, but they have to pay a $3,000 registration fee."

As soon as he said this, the crowd went wild.

"$3,000 registration fee? That's way too expensive!"

"This fee is just a way to keep out the non-wealthy and only let the rich kids in!"

"We poor folks don't stand a chance."

A lot of guys who were excited to join had to back out after hearing the requirements.

Clearly, this masquerade ball was designed to attract beautiful girls and rich guys, making it a high-end event.

Most college students couldn't just drop $3,000 on a social event. Only those from well-off families could afford it.

"Registration starts now!" the student council member announced.

"I want to sign up!" Several girls rushed to sign up first. For them, it was a golden opportunity to meet wealthy guys.

But those who weren't good-looking were told straight up they wouldn't be selected.

A few rich guys also signed up, seeing it as a chance to hook up with beautiful girls.

"I want to sign up!" Suddenly, Tina walked up to the registration desk.

The student council member and everyone around stared at Tina in shock.

No one expected Tina to sign up!

For most girls, this ball was a chance to meet rich guys. So, the ones signing up were usually from modest backgrounds, hoping to find a wealthy boyfriend.

But Tina was not only stunningly beautiful, she also came from a super-rich family, worth billions.

Even the rich kids at Silverbrook dreamed of getting to know her.

Why would she need to join this masquerade ball?

"Tina, are you really signing up?" the student council member asked, stunned.

"Of course, I am. Why? Can't I participate?" Tina replied.

"Yeah, of course!" the student council member nodded quickly.

"In that case, sign me up," Tina said.

Then she glanced at Eric.

"Eric, why would Tina sign up for this event?" Kyle asked, surprised.

"She's obviously doing it to annoy me." Eric shook his head with a smile.

He couldn't help but think that Tina still cared about him a little. If she didn't care at all, she wouldn't always try to get under his skin.

Last time, she had Royce pretend to be her boyfriend and deliberately showed up in front of Eric, just to irritate him.

"Kyle, let's go! We're signing up too!" Eric grinned.

Since Tina wanted to annoy him, he was happy to play along.

"For real??" Kyle seemed a bit excited.

As a guy, he also wanted to join and see what it was like.

Eric took Kyle to the registration desk.

"We're signing up," he said.

Then, Eric transferred $6,000.

"Alright, Eric, I'll register you right away!" The student council member saw the transfer go through and immediately registered him.

Although there was still some debate among the students about Eric's wealth, with some thinking he was loaded and others thinking he was a fraud, Eric was undoubtedly a big deal at the school.

When Tina saw Eric signing up, a look of surprise flashed in her eyes.

After Eric finished signing up and walked out of the crowd, Tina stopped him.

"Honey, did you come to make up with me?" He smiled at Tina.

"Who is your honey? Stop talking nonsense!" Tina frowned and glared at Eric.

Eric laughed and said, "You and I have already..."

"Shut up!" Tina stomped her feet in frustration, cutting him off.

She thought, 'If other students hear it, how can I face anyone in the future?'
