Chapter 154 Another Incident Occurs

"Wolfman’s tougher than you think. He fought underground matches in Kraxxylor for six years," Eric said with a grin.

"Six years in Kraxxylor’s underground matches?" Sharkman was floored.

Sharkman knew those matches were way more intense and brutal than anything back home.

"Wolfman, my bad. I hope you can show me the ropes," Sharkman said respectfully..

"Sure thing, Sharkman," Wolfman replied.

"By the way, Eric, I heard you were the one who got me to the hospital after I got hurt. The fight club wanted to ditch me, but you paid to get me out, put me in the best ICU, and hired top-notch caregivers. I don’t even know how to thank you!" Sharkman said, deeply moved.

Helping someone when they’re on top was one thing, but helping them when they’re down was a whole different level of kindness.

"You got hurt fighting for me, so of course, I’d take care of you. It’s the least I could do," Eric said with a smile.

Sharkman quickly got out of bed, then knelt on one knee and said earnestly, "Eric, I won’t say much. From now on, my life is yours! As long as you don’t mind, I swear to be loyal to you for life! I’ll go through fire and water for you!"

Eric quickly helped Sharkman up.

"Sharkman, get up. We’re equals. If you don’t mind, let’s be friends and work together! I’ll give you a million-dollar monthly salary! When I expand my business, I promise you won’t be shortchanged!"

With Sharkman and Wolfman, Eric now had some serious muscle on his side.

"Eric." Sharkman was moved to tears by Eric’s words.

Sharkman knew that Eric was the chairman of the Power Group, a big deal, yet he was willing to be friends with him. In the past, those bosses looked down on fighters like them and didn’t even treat them as human beings.

"Eric, as I said, I’ll brave any danger for you!" Sharkman said with determination.

At that moment, Eric’s phone suddenly rang.

Eric took out his phone and saw that it was a call from the general manager, Cooper.

"Mr. Phillips, there’s trouble at Site 1 in the reserve!" Cooper’s anxious voice came through the phone.

"What? Trouble at Site 1 in the reserve!?" Eric was shocked.

Site 1 in the reserve was a major gift from Sean, and its development was the most important project of the year!

Completing this project would bring in over two billion dollars in direct revenue, with significant indirect benefits in the future!

Moreover, completing this project would be a major achievement and credential for Eric.

So Eric valued this project highly.

"Cooper, what exactly happened? Is Donald causing trouble again?" Eric quickly asked.

"It’s Frank. He brought people to the site and injured several security guards. He’s too skilled; our guards are no match for him," Cooper said.

"Frank! It’s him again!" Eric’s eyes narrowed, a cold glint flashing in them.

Eric then replied, "Cooper, hold the fort. I’m heading to the site now!"

Eric wanted to see what Frank was up to!

Although Frank had a powerful background, this was Silverbrook, and Eric now had some influence here, so he wasn’t afraid of him.

Even in a fight, Eric had Wolfman!

Eric hung up the phone.

"Eric, is Frank causing trouble at the site?" Wolfman asked.

"We’re going over there now to see what he’s up to," Eric said, narrowing his eyes.

"Alright!" Wolfman nodded.

"Eric, I’m coming too!" Sharkman quickly said.

"Sharkman, you just woke up. You should stay in the hospital and rest for a while," Eric said.

"Eric, my body heals quickly. I’m already fully recovered. I can’t stand staying in the hospital all day," Sharkman said.

As he spoke, Sharkman jumped up and down a few times to show Eric.

The doctor nearby chimed in, "Mr. Phillips, technically, your friend should stay in the hospital a bit longer, but our tests show that his body has fully healed. Discharging him isn't impossible."

"Alright then, Sharkman, you can come with us!" Eric agreed.

So, they headed straight to Site 1 in the reserve.

At Site 1.

Eric's Lamborghini pulled up at the site entrance, followed closely by Wolfman's white Toyota SUV.

As soon as he got out of the car, Eric saw Frank at the entrance.

Eric noticed that besides Frank, Matthew Collins from the Land Management Bureau was also there.

Eric glanced around and saw several injured security guards leaning against the wall, with many site employees gathered around.

"Mr. Phillips!" the employees shouted repeatedly after seeing Eric.

"Everyone, don't worry. I'm here to resolve this," Eric assured the crowd with a wave of his hand.

Eric then walked over to the dozen injured security guards. They were leaning against the wall, many with bruised faces and some with blood on them.

"Mr. Phillips!"

The security guards tried to stand up when they saw Eric.

"You're injured. No need to get up," Eric quickly gestured for them to stay put.

"Mr. Phillips, you have to stand up for us!" the security guards cried out.

"Don't worry, I won't let you get beaten up for nothing. Each of you will receive a $50,000 injury compensation, plus a month of paid leave. The company will also cover all medical expenses!" Eric announced.

The security guards were both surprised and delighted upon hearing this.

"Thank you, Mr. Phillips!" They thanked him repeatedly, feeling that the beating was worth it. Working under a chairman like Eric was absolutely worth it!

The site employees gathered around started whispering among themselves.

"Mr. Phillips is really great!"

"Yeah, a boss like Mr. Phillips is a thousand times better than those unscrupulous bosses. It's worth it to work hard for someone like him!"

"Don't even compare those bosses to Mr. Phillips. No one can compare with Mr. Phillips!"

Sharkman, seeing this, also felt a deep sense of gratitude. Meeting a boss like Eric was the greatest luck of his life.

After comforting the injured employees, Eric, along with Wolfman and Sharkman, walked up to Frank.

"Frank, my site has all the proper permits and is fully compliant. You came here to cause trouble and injured my people. Although you're from the Perez family, if you don't give me an explanation today, I won't let you off!" Eric's eyes flashed with cold light.

"Fully compliant? What a joke! This Site 1 in the reserve is designated by Aurora Bay as a land excluded from development, yet the Power Group is developing it. And you call that compliant?" Frank sneered.

"Yes, this site was indeed once a land excluded from development, but that restriction has been lifted. Mr. Collins has seen the document lifting the restriction, haven't you?" Eric looked at Matthew standing nearby.

Matthew showed a hint of embarrassment.

Frank slowly walked up to Eric with a smug smile and said, "I don't know what happened before, but I do know that this site is now once again a land excluded from development."

"You're lying!" Eric said coldly, narrowing his eyes.

"Don't believe me? Then open your eyes and take a good look! See for yourself!" Frank pulled out a document and threw it at Eric.

Eric caught the document and read it carefully.

As Eric read the contents, his expression changed dramatically.

The document indeed stated that the site was once again a land banned for development, with a restriction period of 50 years!

"Well? See it clearly now? You dare to develop a project on a land excluded from development? Do you really think the Power Group can do whatever it wants? I brought Mr. Collins here today to stop you!" Frank said with a smug smile.

"Frank, was this your doing?" Eric stared at Frank.
