Chapter 130 The Bragging Mode, Activated! (Vote with Diamonds)

Cody then turned to Aria and said with a hint of show-off, "I'm driving the Land Rover. You ride with me."

As he spoke, he gestured towards a nearby Land Rover.

"Of course, no problem!" Aria responded with a smile.
"Ha, ha! Awesome!" Cody burst into laughter with joy.

"Damn, Cody's Range Rover is looking sharp!" one of his friends remarked.

"Are you kidding me? That car is over a hundred grand. Of course, it's sharp!" another chimed in.

"I wonder when I'll ever get to drive something like that," someone mused wistfully.

Everyone couldn't help but envy Cody as they looked at his luxurious Range Rover, thinking how their once former classmate was now cruising in a car worth a fortune.

Upon hearing their comments, Cody smugly ran his hand through his hair, looking quite self-satisfied.

"Look at him, reveling in his petty triumph," Eric Phillips couldn't help but shake his head and chuckle coldly.

Eric's remark wasn't loud but still reached Cody's ears.

"What did you say, kid?" Cody glared at Eric.

"Cody, cool off, will ya?" Stella, the class leader, quickly stepped in to mediate.

The other classmates murmured amongst themselves.

"Eric just doesn't know what's good for him. Cody is doing so well, he could at least suck up instead of challenging him. He's just asking for trouble."

"Seriously, it's just dumb. How's he going to get by in society acting like that?"

...

Even Aria, the class beauty, couldn't hold back, "Eric, for old times' sake, back when you used to help me with school work, I'd advise you to be more flexible. With an attitude like that, you'll keep hitting walls out in the real world."

"Thanks for your concern, Aria," Eric replied serenely. "And here's some advice for you: as a woman, it's best to respect yourself more and not give yourself away to the unworthy."

"You..." Aria's face flushed with anger.

Cody roared even louder, "Who are you calling unworthy, punk? Looking for trouble, huh?"

"Motherf*cker! Daring to insult Cody? You're asking for it!" shouted Mateo and Lincoln, ready to jump into the fray behind Cody.

"Calm down, you guys! This is a reunion! Fighting will ruin the vibe!" Stella held back the two of them.

"Look here, punk," Cody glared at Eric with menace, "for Stella's sake, I'm giving you one last chance. Be smart! I promise, if you keep up with this talk, no one will be able to stop me next time!"

Gary, behind Eric, tugged at his sleeve, signaling him to drop the issue before it escalated.

Cody then smiled mockingly and addressed Eric and Gary, "Oh, I just realized we're short on space in the minibus, missing exactly two seats. Why don't the two of you take a cab instead? I'll cover the fare!"
Gary immediately countered, "Cody, the shuttle bus is rated for 38 passengers, and we only had 37 students today. How could we be short on seats?"

"I rent the bus, and if I say it's not enough, then it's not enough!" Cody retorted arrogantly.

It was clear that Cody was trying to intimidate both Eric Phillips and Gary.

"Let it go, Gary. There's no need to argue with them; I've got my car," Eric Phillips said.

"Didn't this guy brag about owning a Lambo before?" Lincoln chuckled.

"Exactly! With a sick ride like that, who needs a bus, ha!" Mateo laughed along.

Cody also sneered, "So, kid, you got a Lambo? Let's see it then."

They were mocking Eric Phillips.

Some of the students chuckled under their breath. Who would believe that Eric Phillips had a Lamborghini?

"You want to see it? Then I'll grant your wish."

Eric Phillips said this as he pulled out a Lamborghini key fob.

Gary, seeing this, whispered to Eric Phillips with a wry smile, "Eric, they're asking to see the real deal, not some knockoff key fob you got off eBay. That's not going to fool them."

"This isn't a fake," Eric Phillips said with a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.

He then turned towards the parking lot and pressed the unlock button on his key fob.

The next moment.

"Beep beep!"

The loud beep of the car unlocking echoed.
The students at the scene followed the sound, and their gaze fell upon a supercar with an outrageously cool appearance—a Lamborghini Aventador.

With its hazard lights flashing authoritatively a second time due to Eric's press of the unlock button, the car was impossible to ignore.

Silence fell.

The entire place was suddenly as quiet as a tomb, so silent you could hear a pin drop.

Cody, Mateo, Lincoln, class beauty Aria, class president Stella, Gary, and all the students widened their eyes, filled with shock and disbelief.

Under everyone's astonished gaze, Eric Phillips walked casually towards the sleek green Lamborghini, pulled the door open, and sat inside.

The next moment.

Roar!

The explosive sound of the engine roared to life, snapping everyone out of their shock.

Eric Phillips hit the gas, driving the Lambo straight out and bringing it to a stop right in front of Cody and the others.

Then, the door swung open, and Eric Phillips stepped out of the car.
Eric Phillips glanced around; every classmate stared at him with dumbfounded expressions.

He could imagine the shock pulsing through their veins.

First, his eyes landed on Mateo and Lincoln.

"Mateo, Lincoln, remember when we ran into each other the day before yesterday at Power Mansion Plaza? I told you your BMW was trash compared to my Lamborghini. Do you believe me now?"

Mateo and Lincoln swallowed their dry spit, their faces turning an ashen shade, wordlessly struggling to respond.

Next, Eric shifted his gaze to Cody.

"Cody, didn't you find it hilarious when I said I owned a Lamborghini at the hotel? So why the glum look now?"

Cody, looking pallid as clay, was equally lost for words.

Turning then with a smile to the class president Stella, Eric continued, "Class president, do you believe me now when I say I wasn't boasting? You mentioned I've changed, but really, I haven't."

Finally, his eyes swept over the class beauty of Aria and all the other students before resting on an old high school deskmate, Gary.

"Gary, snap out of it, buddy! Get in; we're heading to the bar to hang out!" Eric gave Gary's shoulder a friendly pat.

That jolted Gary out of his daze.

"Whoa, Eric, I mean, Eric! Do you have a Lamborghini? Damn, am I dreaming?!" Gary exclaimed in shock and delight.

"You're not dreaming, man. Get in," Eric said with a playful glare.

"You got it!" Gary hurriedly nodded, rushing to the passenger side of the sleek Lamborghini and pulling open the cool scissor door.

"Holy smokes, a Lamborghini! I've never been on such an awesome ride, heh!" Gary chirped as he eagerly got in.

Eric followed suit, sliding into the driver's seat and shutting the door. Rolling down the window, he looked out at his still-stunned classmates and said, "Guys, weren't you headed to the bar for some singing? What are you standing here for?"

"Right, right!" The students nodded rigidly, still reeling from the shock.

Then Eric's gaze turned back to Cody.

"Cody, which bar did you book? Spit it out, don't waste my time."

"Go...Way Back Bar," Cody obediently recited the name of the bar.
"Got it."
After speaking, Eric Phillips rolled up his window and hit the gas.

With a roaring growl that was both frantic and explosive, Eric's Lamborghini Aventador tore away from the scene, leaving only a stunned crowd behind.

"Can you believe that guy has a Lambo? How is that even possible?!"

"Yeah, he doesn't look like someone who should be driving an Aventador. That car is close to a million bucks!"

After Eric's Lamborghini had vanished, Mateo and Lincoln finally voiced their bafflement, their expressions exaggerated with astonishment.

"A million? Sheesh…"

The students unfamiliar with the Lamborghini Aventador gasped in shock at the staggering figure.

Driving a luxury car worth nearly a million was beyond their wildest dreams!

Cody frowned, "Enough talk! Let's hit the road and head to the bar!"
