Chapter 134 Identity Revealed

The waiter rattled off a list of big shots and VIPs like it was nothing.

Every time he dropped a name, everyone got chills. These were the top dogs in Silverbrook.

When the last name hit, everyone’s minds went blank.

"Even Robert from the Silverbrook City Chamber of Commerce is here? That guy's a legend in the business world!" a classmate blurted out, their voice going all high-pitched. "Are all these people here for Eric?"

Right then, Robert strolled in, flanked by a cadre of influential figures, making a grand entrance.

Seeing this squad, Cody gulped hard. Any one of these folks could make him sweat, let alone a whole pack of them.

Everyone else, whether it was Stella, Aria, or other classmates, were all breaking out in cold sweats, frozen by the sheer presence of these heavyweights. They’d never seen so many industry titans in one place. This was the kind of thing they'd be talking about for the rest of their lives!

After Robert and the other bosses rolled into the private room, they made a beeline for Eric. These bosses, worth hundreds of millions or even billions, all greeted Eric with mad respect, "Hello, Mr. Phillips!"

"Mr. Phillips, we were just having a get-together in the room next door. When we heard you were here, everyone wanted to come over and have a drink," Robert said with a grin.

"Since everyone’s so kind, I won’t say no. Let’s have a drink," Eric said coolly. Then, he poured a glass of wine and drank with them.

This scene made Eric's classmates' hearts race. 'Are these powerful figures all bowing and scraping before Eric? Oh my God! What kind of terrifying identity does Eric have to command such respect!'

Cody was even more freaked out, his face a mask of despair!

At this moment, even though he still didn’t know who Eric really was, he got one thing: Eric’s Lamborghini was definitely not rented, and he had some serious clout to make these bosses fear him.

He just couldn’t wrap his head around what kind of power Eric had to make these bosses, bow and scrape before him!

After Robert and the other bosses finished their drinks, they left the private room. Then, the whole room went dead silent. The vibe was tense and weird. Everyone stared at Eric with wide eyes.

Eric slowly stood up and looked at Cody. "Cody, the bosses who came to greet me and drink with me, compared to the two you mentioned, should be pretty impressive, right?"

Cody wiped the sweat off his forehead, his face turning red as he struggled to speak.

At that moment, he suddenly remembered the words Eric had said before. Cody and the other classmates had thought it was a huge joke when they heard it, but now, Eric’s words had become a reality.

"Now, does anyone still think my Lamborghini is rented?" Eric asked slowly.

All the classmates shook their heads like crazy. They all had to respect Eric.

"Eric, what kind of identity do you have that even those bosses worth billions have to be so respectful to you?" Stella couldn’t help but ask.

"Yeah, Eric, what's your deal?" Gary chimed in, still in shock from the scene.

Everyone's eyes were glued to Eric, dying to know what kind of clout he had to make those big shots bow down. Even Cody and his crew were all ears, desperate for answers.

"Alright, listen up. I'm the current chairman of the Power Group's Silverbrook Branch," Eric said, cool as a cucumber.

"The chairman of the Power Group?" Everyone's jaws dropped.

"No wonder they call him Mr. Phillips. He's the chairman of the Power Group!" some classmates finally got it.

"Wait, that's not enough. Being the chairman is impressive, but it wouldn't make Robert and the others bow and scrape!" a guy piped up.

Cody nodded. He knew being the chairman might get Eric some respect, but not this level of groveling.

Eric grinned. "You're right. There's more to it. I'm Sean's biological grandson."

"Sean's biological grandson?" The room collectively gasped.

Sean was the richest man in Auroria! Now it all made sense why even Robert and the others had to bow and scrape.

No one doubted Eric anymore. It was clear now that the real big shot among them wasn't Cody, but Eric!

Cody slumped on the sofa, his mind racing. He couldn't fathom the consequences if Eric decided to settle scores for all the times he had bullied him.

Mateo and Lincoln, knowing Eric's true identity, were also sweating bullets and trembling.

"Alright, everyone, don't just stand there. The drinks on the table, feel free to drink them. It's on me!" Eric said.

"Okay!" Everyone nodded, taking Eric's words as gospel.

"Eric, let me pour you a drink." Cody forced a smile and rushed over to pour Eric a glass of 1982 Lafite, then poured himself one too. It was clear he was trying to suck up to Eric for forgiveness.

"Eric, I was young and dumb before and did a lot of things to offend you. I toast to you as an apology," Cody said, raising his glass.

"Hold up!" Eric raised his hand. Then, he turned to the waiter and said, "A bottle of Budweiser, please."

The waiter quickly complied, and soon a bottle of Budweiser was brought over.

"Cody, you don't deserve to drink 1982 Lafite. This is more your speed," Eric said, placing the Budweiser on the table. Cody's face turned red with anger. He felt humiliated but didn't dare say a word.

"Don't think for a second that I'll forgive you," Eric said with a cold smile.

"That's right, Eric. Cody and his goons bullied us so much in middle school. You can't let them off the hook!" Gary said angrily.

Being bullied in middle school had left a huge scar on Gary, affecting his whole life, but he never had the power to get back at them. Now, Eric gave Gary a shot at revenge.

Hearing Gary's words, Cody's face darkened. Mateo, standing behind Cody, pointed at Gary and shouted, "Gary, you looking for trouble?"

"Mateo, I think it's you who's looking for trouble, still daring to be so cocky!" Eric said, his face darkening as he glared at Mateo.
