Chapter 094 The Wedding of First Love

For Eric, the cost of a car was a mere trifle.

Moreover, going without a car for even a few months was out of the question for him.

After school, Eric received a call from an unfamiliar number.

"Hello, may I ask who's calling?" Eric answered the phone.

"Are you Eric?" A woman's voice came from the other end of the line.

"May I ask who this is?" Eric asked.

"I am your junior high school classmate, Madelyn," the voice said.

"Madelyn?" Eric paused for a moment.

He couldn't forget this name because she was his first love.

In the second year of junior high, Eric had his first infatuation and developed feelings for his classmate Madelyn.

Madelyn was quite attractive and lively.

At that time, Eric didn't know where he found the courage to write Madelyn a love letter. Eric opened a book and secretly placed it on Madelyn's desk.

Little did Eric expect, Madelyn actually replied to him and agreed to date him.

Eric still remembered how happy and excited he was at that time.

Unfortunately, their relationship only lasted for three months before Madelyn dumped him.

The reason was that another excellent guy was pursuing her, and she accepted his offer.

In a moment of impulse, Eric went to find that guy but ended up getting beaten up instead.

Eric remembered how heartbroken he was for over a year. His grades, which used to be excellent, drastically declined because of that incident.

Of course, Eric had long forgotten about it now, considering it a youthful memory.

"Madelyn, is there something you need?" Eric asked.

Eric never expected Madelyn, with whom he had lost contact for years, to suddenly call him.

"Eric, I'm having a wedding tomorrow at noon at TL Hotel, and I invite you to attend," Madelyn said.

"Invite me?" Eric was startled.

She's getting married and inviting him? Eric was surprised.

"Well, you were my first love after all. Of course, I want to invite you," Madelyn said.

"I might not be available," Eric responded.

He wasn't interested in attending the wedding.

"Not available? Really? I heard you're still in college, and tomorrow is Saturday, so how could you not have time? Unless you're too poor to attend, then you can come without a gift," Madelyn said.

Madelyn's words carried a hint of sarcasm.

Eric smiled, unfazed by her sarcasm.

"Think about it yourself, I've given you the time and place," Madelyn said.

After Madelyn finished speaking, she immediately hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Eric contemplated for a moment.

"Tomorrow is free, so let's go."

After considering for a while, Eric ultimately decided to attend the wedding, not for anything else but to reminisce about his past youth.

The next morning, a brand new Lamborghini Aventador was delivered to Eric's house.

The Lamborghini, a striking shade of green, had been transferred overnight from a dealership in Houston, the manager informed him.

Eric drove the eye-catching green Lamborghini Aventador directly to Madelyn's wedding.

TL Hotel was a four-star hotel, which was quite impressive for an ordinary person to hold a wedding at.

Eric drove the stylish green Lamborghini and slowly entered TL Hotel.

"What a cool Lamborghini!"

"I wonder which rich kid is in the car!"

The presence of the Lamborghini was undoubtedly attention-grabbing and even caused some girls to scream.

"Can I have your number please?"

As soon as Eric got out of the car, two scantily dressed girls approached.

"Sorry, I can't," Eric waved his hand disinterestedly, then walked straight into the hotel.

A welcome counter was arranged at the hotel entrance.

"Is this Madelyn's wedding?" Eric asked.

"That's right, sir. Are you here for the reception? May I have your name?" the man at the counter asked.

"I'm Eric Phillips," Eric said and handed over a bottle of red wine without even bothering to wrap it.

Although Eric was wealthy now, he didn't feel the need to give Madelyn an extravagant gift.

"Eric?"

A voice came from behind, and when Eric turned his head, he saw a young man with curly hair and a stylish light blue suit.

"And you are?" Eric glanced at him.

"Me, Nick. The one who stole Madelyn from you back then. Don't you remember?" the man said with a smile.

"Nick?" Eric's eyebrows slightly furrowed as he recalled.

Eric had been dating Madelyn for three months initially, but she was taken away by this Nick in the end. Eric went to confront Nick in anger, but ended up being brutally beaten by Nick and his friends.

Nick glanced at the wine on the table and then smiled, saying, "Eric, you're only giving a bottle of wine? That's worth no more than fifty dollars. Isn't that too shabby?"

"Why bother with so much? I don't have any relationship with her," Eric shrugged.

Nick took a look at Eric's attire and then shook his head and laughed, saying, "If you don't have money, just say so. No need for all these excuses."

Then, Nick walked over to the gift area.

"Nick, a television!"

Nick stood tall and proud, looking quite imposing.

"Eric, we're old classmates. Let's go in together," Nick said arrogantly, his gaze towards Eric seemed superior.

"No thanks," Eric replied and walked straight towards the wedding venue.

Nick looked at Eric's back, sneering, "Once a loser, always a loser. You dare to come to a wedding dressed so shabbily, it's truly ridiculous."

After saying that, Nick also walked inside.

Once Eric entered the wedding venue, the bride and groom were standing at the entrance, welcoming the guests one by one.

Eric immediately spotted Madelyn. He remembered how beautiful she seemed in middle school.

But now that Eric had seen many beautiful women, looking at Madelyn again, he found her just average. Compared to Tina and Sharon, she was far behind in both looks and temperament!

As for the groom, he was a fat and ugly middle-aged bald man! Eric never expected that Madelyn would marry someone like him.

"Eric, you're here! I thought you wouldn't come," Madelyn said, surprised, looking at Eric.

"I came to bid farewell to my youth," Eric replied with a smile.

When Eric mentioned 'farewell,' the groom beside him frowned and appeared unhappy.

"Madelyn, who is this? You didn't introduce me," the groom frowned and said.

"This is my first love from middle school, Eric Phillips," Madelyn introduced.

"First love? Madelyn, your taste back then wasn't so good, choosing someone so ugly?" the groom laughed.

Eric also laughed and said, "Madelyn, your taste has gotten even worse now, finding a husband who looks like a pig?"

The groom was rude himself, so Eric had no reason to indulge him!

"Who are you calling a pig?" the groom was instantly angered upon hearing Eric's words.

"Who am I referring to? Don't you know it in your heart?" Eric gave a cold smile.

"Do you want to die?" the groom's face was filled with anger.

"Darling, calm down! It's our big wedding day today. If we start a fight, it won't look good at all," Madelyn pulled the groom back.

After hearing these words, the groom reluctantly calmed down his anger.

Then, the groom looked at Eric and said in a cold voice, "You're lucky that today is my wedding day. Whoever dares to speak to me like that, I guarantee them a life full of misery!"

Madelyn also spoke up, "Eric, my husband owns a factory and has assets worth millions of dollars. You can't afford to offend my husband. You should apologize to him quickly. Considering you were my first love, I will make my husband forgive you."

"Apologize to him? I'm afraid he's not worth it," Eric shook his head and said with a smile.

After saying that, Eric walked directly towards the banquet area.
