Chapter 151 The Perez Family

"Go to hell!" Harold shouted, pulling the trigger before the assassin even had a chance to react.

The assassin hit the ground, a bloody hole in his head, blood pouring out instantly. He was dead before he even knew what happened.

Harold holstered his gun and pulled out his phone to make a call.

When the call connected, he said, "Mr. Williams, it's done. Mr. Phillips is safe."

Over at the Williams family estate in Aurora Bay, Sean nodded. "Good. Got it."

Then he hung up.

"Mr. Williams, Mr. Phillips had a close call this time," said Jack Campbell, his secretary.

"He's still young and hasn't seen much. In times like this, I have to step in," Sean replied.

Eric was indeed young, and Sean, having been through a lot, was always the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. When things got critical, it was his time to act.

Jack then asked, "Should we tell Mr. Phillips about this?"

"He's probably stressed out enough. Let's not add to his worries right now. We'll tell him later," Sean said.

"Oh, and Mr. Williams, Frank Perez is back in Silverbrook. He's likely after Tina Gory, and Mr. Phillips has a complicated history with her. I'm worried Frank might cause trouble for him," Jack said, concerned.

Sean replied slowly, "Frank is the brightest talent among the younger Perez generation. It's good for Eric to meet him. Eric's had it easy lately; a challenge might do him some good. Adversity can bring out a person's potential and fighting spirit."

"You're absolutely right, Mr. Williams," Jack said respectfully.

Meanwhile, in the top-floor office of Power Mansion, Eric had no idea he had just dodged an assassin's bullet.

He was still mulling over Frank's situation when Cooper rushed into the office.

"Cooper, did you get the info?" Eric asked, standing up quickly.

"Yeah, Mr. Phillips. Frank's from the Perez family in Aurora Bay. He joined the military at 18, earned a lot of medals, and won the Auroria military district competition. At 21, he joined Eldoria's elite Shadow Strike Force. He's highly skilled!" Cooper reported.

"Impressive," Eric said, narrowing his eyes.

He had to admit, Frank was quite the achiever with all those honors.

Compared to Frank, Eric felt a bit lacking. Without Sean, he knew he was nothing.

"Yeah, Mr. Phillips, Frank's the standout among the younger Perez generation and is set to be their future heir," Cooper added.

"What's the deal with the Perez family? Are they powerful?" Eric asked.

"Eric, the Perez family is a big deal in Aurora Bay. They're very powerful," Cooper said.

He continued, "Kevin Perez once held a significant position in the Auroria military district and is now retired. He has two sons. The elder, Paul Perez, is the chairman of the Perez Group and Frank's father. The Perez Group's business is huge. The younger son, Larry Perez, holds an important position in the Auroria military district and has room to advance."

"This Perez family is no joke," Eric murmured, squinting his eyes.

The wealthy folks he knew in Silverbrook couldn't hold a candle to the Perez family. Their background sent a chill down Eric's spine.

Cooper continued, "When it comes to wealth, the Power Group has the edge, thanks to Mr. Williams' business acumen. But in terms of influence and prestige, the Perez family is stronger."

Eric nodded, acknowledging Kevin's formidable background.

Before this, he had never encountered people of such stature.

At that moment, Eric realized just how small he was. His background might be unmatched in Silverbrook, giving him confidence, but aiming higher meant facing people with even more powerful backgrounds.

In Auroria, the Power Group might be impressive, especially in terms of wealth, where it was number one. But on a national scale, it didn't even crack the top ten. The most economically developed area in Eldoria was Luminaris, while the Power Group was in Auroria.

Unless Eric stayed in Silverbrook or Auroria forever, his background wouldn't matter much outside of Auroria. But he was absolutely unwilling to spend his entire life in Silverbrook or Auroria.

A bold idea suddenly sprouted in Eric's mind.

"Sean spent half his life building the Power Group from a small company to the strongest in Auroria. He's old now, and expanding further is beyond his capability," he murmured.

Squinting his eyes, Eric continued, "In the future, I'll expand the Power Group nationwide, making it the strongest in Eldoria! And even more, I'll take the Power Group global!"

As for Frank, Eric might not have any significant achievements to compare with him right now. But he secretly vowed that one day, his achievements would far surpass Frank's, making him tremble in awe.

Frank had given Eric quite a shock, making him realize how small he still was.

So Frank's appearance had completely ignited Eric's determination to strive upward.

At that moment, the secretary, Mark Bennett, hurriedly walked in.

"Mr. Phillips, there's someone outside who claims to be Frank and wants to see you," he reported.

"Frank!" Eric's eyelid twitched.

"Why is he here? What does he want?" Eric murmured with a frown.

He had fully experienced Frank's aura of arrogance and dominance today.

He was certain that Frank's visit wouldn't bring anything good.

Cooper spoke up, "Mr. Phillips, if you don't want to see him, you can refuse. After all, this is our company, and he probably won't force his way in."

"If I refuse, he'll just mock me for not even having the courage to meet him." Eric shook his head.

After a pause, he squinted his eyes and continued, "Bring him in. I want to see what he wants. Besides, this is my turf; why should I fear him?"

Eric knew that as a man, this kind of meeting was unavoidable.

What was meant to come would come.

"Yes, Mr. Phillips!" Mark nodded and then left.

Soon, he brought Frank in.

Frank had a commanding presence. After entering, he sat down directly across from Eric without permission.

"Frank, what do you want?" Eric stared at him.

"I heard there are some rumors between you and Tina. Is that true?" Frank asked with a smile.

"Don't beat around the bush. Just say what you want." Eric frowned.

"Then I'll be straightforward. I have one purpose for coming here today: you must stay away from Tina and have no further entanglements with her. She is the woman I have my eyes on," Frank said domineeringly.

"Why should I listen to you?" Eric laughed.

Frank stood up and walked over to Eric, looking down at him arrogantly. "Because I'm Frank, and you are just a useless nobody without any abilities. Without Sean, you are nothing. You have no right to compete with me for a woman! Understand?"

Eric also stood up, meeting Frank's gaze with a smile. "Then let me tell you, Tina and I have already had a sexual relationship. She is my woman now, and there's nothing you can do to change that!"
