Chapter 153 Good News

Frank unclenched his fists upon seeing Wolfman blocked his way.

"Wolfman, with your skills, why aren't you out there making a name for yourself? Instead, you're stuck here playing bodyguard for a loser?" He stared at Wolfman.

"Make a name for myself? Not interested." Wolfman shook his head.

"Alright, how much is Eric paying you? I'll give you five times that, no, ten times! Come join the Perez family, what do you say?" Frank offered.

After a pause, he added, "With your skills, the Perez family would back you all the way. You could be an instructor in the Shadow Strike Force, get a military rank, and gain both fame and fortune. Isn't that better than being a bodyguard for a loser?"

Frank's offer was pretty generous.

Clearly, he was desperate to recruit someone like Wolfman into the Perez family.

"Sorry, not interested. Save your breath. No matter what you say, it's just noise!" Wolfman shook his head.

Sean had once saved him, and Wolfman had sworn to be loyal to Sean for life. He wasn't about to break that vow.

Besides, he was pretty content staying with Eric. This was the life he wanted.

At that moment, Eric spoke up, "Frank, if you've got nothing else to say, then get lost. You're not welcome here."

"You! Did you just tell me to get lost?" Frank glared at Eric with wide eyes.

As the heir of the Perez family and its brightest star, even the elders of the Perez family had to show him respect. Given Kevin and Larry's status, even the instructors in the special forces had to give him some leeway.

But now, a loser dared to disrespect him like this?

If it weren't for Wolfman being there, and the fact that he couldn't beat Wolfman, he would've rushed up to beat Eric long ago.

"That's right, I told you to get lost. Need me to say it again?" Eric sneered.

Frank glanced at Wolfman. He knew that with Wolfman there, he couldn't deal with Eric today.

Then, he looked at Eric again and said viciously, "Eric, mark my words! I'll soon make you understand the consequences of crossing me!"

"I'll be waiting!" Eric said coldly.

He knew that going against Frank might not be a wise choice. But since Frank had come to provoke him, how could Eric tolerate it? Should he bow and scrape, flatter him, and act like a dog in front of him, obeying his every whim?

That was absolutely impossible!

Since they were destined to be enemies, Eric naturally wouldn't show any mercy.

"Fine, just you wait! I'll make you regret going against me!" After throwing down these words, Frank stormed out in anger.

Eric called out to Frank's retreating figure, "Frank, I'll also make you understand that going against me is the biggest mistake of your life!"

After Frank left, Cooper said worriedly, "Mr. Phillips, you've offended Frank. He'll probably try to get back at you!"

"There's nothing I can do about that. If he wants revenge, let him come. I'll be ready," Eric said.

Eric didn't have to worry about his safety because he had Wolfman protecting him.

Then, he looked at Wolfman and said with a smile, "Wolfman, you're really something. Even a genius like Frank can't deal with you."

"Eric, if I didn't have some skills, how could I have survived so many years of underground fighting?" Wolfman laughed.

Just then, Eric's phone suddenly rang.

He answered the call. "Really? Okay! Got it! I'll be right there!"

After hanging up, Eric's face showed a hint of joy.

"Eric, what happened to make you so happy?" Wolfman asked curiously.

"Good news. Guess what?" Eric said with a smile.

"Oh? What?" Wolfman was even more curious.

"It was a call from the hospital. Sharkman has woken up!" Eric said with a smile.

"Sharkman woke up? Really?" Wolfman also showed a hint of joy.

Sharkman and Wolfman had similar experiences, which made Wolfman very sympathetic towards Sharkman. He was also very hopeful that Sharkman would wake up.

"Of course it's true. Come on, let's head to the hospital and see him!" Eric said with a grin.

In the last underground fight, Sharkman had fought for him and ended up in such a bad shape. Eric had always felt really guilty about it.

Now that Sharkman had woken up, Eric was naturally thrilled.

Without wasting any time, Eric and Wolfman headed straight to the hospital.

Eric was worried about Sharkman's condition after waking up. The doctor had previously mentioned that Sharkman had suffered a severe head injury, and even if he woke up, he might have memory loss or his intelligence might regress to that of a three-year-old.

In the hospital's special care ward, Donald, lying on the hospital bed, looked very anxious.

"Why is there still no news?" he muttered.

Donald was anxiously waiting for the assassin to bring good news.

"Yeah, it should be about time, right? Why is there still no news? Mr. Hall, let me contact him," Oliver said.

He took out his phone and dialed the assassin's number.

The phone prompted that the number was switched off.

"What's going on? Why is it switched off? Didn't he say this number would be available 24/7?" Oliver was puzzled.

"Could something have happened to him?" Donald looked worried.

"Mr. Hall, we can't reach the assassin right now, so we can only wait," Oliver said.

In another special care ward in the hospital, Eric and Wolfman quickly walked into the room where Sharkman was lying on the bed.

"Eric, you're here!" Sharkman, lying on the bed, smiled as soon as he saw Eric.

Hearing that, Eric immediately felt relieved.

This at least meant that Sharkman hadn't lost his memory, and judging by his appearance, his intelligence didn't seem to be affected either.

"Sharkman, I didn't expect you to wake up so soon. How are you feeling now?" Eric asked as he walked over and sat by Sharkman's bed.

"Eric, I feel great now!" Sharkman said with a smile.

At this moment, the doctor beside them spoke up, "Mr. Phillips, his body's self-repair ability is far beyond that of ordinary people. Even his brain damage has been self-repairing. During this period, our instruments have recorded his body's repair speed very clearly! It's simply a medical miracle!"

Sharkman smiled and said, "I used to get injured a lot when I was fighting, but I always healed quickly! No matter how serious the injury, I could recover after some rest!"

Wolfman chimed in, "Some people are born sickly, while others are born strong. It's a matter of constitution. Sharkman probably has a special constitution with a strong self-repair ability. This kind of constitution is very impressive!"

Eric nodded.

Sharkman's quick recovery and good condition were probably related to that.

"Sharkman, you were so foolish that day. It was just a match. It's okay if you lost. Why did you have to go all out? Silly," Eric said seriously.

"Eric, to be honest, you're the only boss who cares about my life. I didn't want to lose that five hundred million dollars for you," Sharkman said seriously.

Sharkman was very touched.

If it were any other boss, losing five hundred million dollars for them would make them want to kill him, even if he didn't die. But Eric cared about his life and safety.

"To have a boss like you, it's worth it even if I die," Sharkman said with a smile.

"Die? What nonsense are you talking about!" Eric glared at Sharkman.

"By the way, Eric, what happened after I passed out? Did we lose the five hundred million dollars to Donald?" Sharkman asked.

Eric smiled and said, "After you passed out, Wolfman got very angry and went on stage to avenge you. Not only did I not lose, but I also made a profit. Donald even lost his left arm to me."

"Is Wolfman that amazing?" Sharkman looked at Wolfman in shock, because he had experienced firsthand how formidable Pantherman was.
