Chapter 15 The First Time Sierra Was Worried

The restaurant closed at ten o'clock.
Sierra came out and it was drizzling outside.
Pitter-patter, the gray road shone brightly...
Sierra didn't bring an umbrella, so she held her handbag over her head and ran two hundred meters to hide under a bus stop.
Her clothes were all soaked, and she shook as she held her phone to call for a taxi... It's hard to get a taxi in the rain. Sierra waited for half an hour but still couldn't get one.
Across from the bus stop is a golden Continental car parked on the side of the road with Eric sitting inside quietly watching Sierra in the rain running around with wet clothes... shaking all over.
Linda sat in the passenger seat beside him playing on her phone for an hour. She yawned: "Brother, you said you would take me out for supper? You've been picking a place for an hour... Oh, isn't that Jason's girlfriend?"
Eric lazily wiped his hands on the steering wheel and asked: "Jason's girlfriend?"
Linda patted on the window: "Brother, let's give her a ride."
Eric looked reluctant: "Jason's girlfriend might not be appropriate."
"She called for a cab!" Linda suddenly exclaimed regretfully.
Eric looked over there. Sure enough, a blue taxi had just passed by them closely brushing against their car.
Beside him, Linda took out Jason’s phone number and dialed it up:
"Jason! How can you be such a bad boyfriend?"
"I just saw Sierra."
"It’s so late now. Aren’t you going to pick her up?"
...
On Jason’s end of line he laughed heartily: “Ah… I’m such a bad boyfriend!”
Hearing this made Eric purse his lips slightly. Jason really had no manners!
Linda talked to Jason for a few more minutes and hung up the phone.
She hooked Eric's arm and acted like a spoiled child: "Brother, can I invite Sierra to play the piano at my birthday party? She is in trouble now, and I will pay her twenty thousand yuan."
Eric started the car and said indifferently: "She might not agree!"
Linda didn't believe it.
After a while, she remembered something. "Brother, aren't you taking me out for supper? Why are we heading home?"
Eric took out a cigarette and lit it. He glanced at his sister: "Aren't you on a diet? Are you still thinking about supper?"
Linda was immediately convinced. She took out her phone and chatted with Roger...
The next afternoon, Eric went back to the mansion to get some documents.
As soon as he came downstairs, he heard Linda shouting: "Brother! That Miss Adler rejected me! It's strange that she doesn’t want twenty thousand yuan!"
Eric was dressed in formal attire rushing off to attend meetings.
After hearing Linda's complaint, he lightly tapped his sister’s head with some files then hummed softly: “If she agreed then there would be something wrong with her brain just like yours.”
Angered by this comment from Eric again, Linda pouted cutely showing how upset she was: “Mommy, look, brother is bullying me again!"
Mrs. Howard sat in the hall drinking tea elegantly.
Smilingly she said to her eldest son: “I thought Miss Adler was quite nice when I met her last time but who knew that she turned out to be Jason’s girlfriend!”
Eric did not explain this misunderstanding here. He smiled slightly: “Jason is also pursuing someone.”
Mrs. Howard put down her cup casually saying: “Miss Adler has gentle temperament which makes me think that perhaps she is more suitable for you.”
Eric restrained his expression, nodded and left.
Watching her brother leave, Linda leaned against her mother's side and said carefully: "Brother seems to still be waiting...for that person!"
Mrs. Howard smiled faintly.
She said to her youngest daughter: “Your brother’s temperament and that person are destined not to be together. I think Miss Adler has a better chance."
After being surprised by this revelation Linda perked up with renewed energy as she already had a plan in mind.
Sorry Mr. Howard
