Chapter 4 Miss Adler, Focus!
Sarah's husband cooperated wisely: "Sierra, Sarah's college classmate, is a piano teacher."
Eric chuckled lightly: "So it's Miss Adler!"
He seemed friendly and extended his hand.
Around them, those men from prominent families showed intriguing expressions and some even looked envious! They could all tell that this beautiful Miss Adler was here for Eric.
Someone shouted: "Mr. Howard is so lucky."
Sierra was thin-skinned after all and had never seen such a scene before. She shyly reached out her hand.
Her soft palm was held by Eric's hand.
Eric let go of her hand as soon as he shook it and smiled charmingly: "Miss Adler, care to play a game?"
After speaking, he walked towards the court with an attitude that didn't allow her to refuse.
Sierra had no choice but to follow him.
Behind them, Roger held his golf club with a gloomy face...
...
Eric was in a good mood; he wasn't angry when Sierra said she couldn't play well.
"I'll teach you!"
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone knew what Eric meant. Their eyes became even more ambiguous towards each other.
Sierra wasn't stupid; she knew that if Eric got close to her it only meant one thing -
he didn't like Roger!
Sierra stood in front of Eric while letting him hug her from behind. Her sports shorts revealed a large section of fair legs pressed tightly against him. She could even feel the heat emanating from his body on hers.
Sierra blushed uncontrollably.
"Miss Adler, focus!" whispered Eric into her ear with lips almost touching it - just like lovers do.
She froze for a moment.
Eric already held onto her hand and swung the club once again.
Applause echoed around them; those people were being overly affectionate.
"Mr. Howard and Miss Adler make a great team."
"It's all thanks to Mr. Howard!"
"If Mr. Howard swings again, he'll get it in the hole."
...
Men were used to talking like this and didn't think much of it.
Sierra's face was slightly red.
Eric leaned against her tender earlobe and chuckled: "Miss Adler, shall we take another swing?"
He was skilled; he got the ball into the hole with one stroke.
Applause echoed around them once more; Eric looked handsome and confident.
Sierra felt a tremble in her body.
Today, she had intended to seduce him but ended up being manipulated by him instead.
She had an intuition that if Eric wanted to flirt, 95% of women wouldn't be able to resist him - but as someone with his status, he wouldn't easily lower himself for anyone.
Sierra was held tightly by him while they scored several more times.
During halftime break, Sierra sat next to Eric. He didn't talk much with her but mostly discussed business matters or legal issues occasionally with others nearby.
Sierra tried hard to please him by handing out drinks or towels...and Eric naturally accepted them all without hesitation.
Sarah thought there might be something going on between them.
She pulled Sierra into the restroom and whispered: "I never knew Mr. Howard could be so sly! I've seen him at parties before looking serious."
Sarah feared that Sierra would play with fire and end up getting burned because given Eric's status, it wasn't likely that he would marry someone like her - not when Roger was still in the picture too!
But Sierra saw through everything clearly; she said softly: "At most it will only be physical intimacy between us; I'm not naive enough for anything else."
Sarah breathed a sigh of relief.
Just then Roger pushed open the door abruptly upon entering. He pushed Sierra against the wall with a dark expression.
Sarah panicked and reached out to pull him: "Roger, what are you trying to do?"
But Roger blocked her hand and pushed her out of the door. He locked it from inside.
Outside, Sarah pounded on the door frantically while cursing under her breath: "Roger, you son of a bitch! What are you trying to do?"
