Chapter 44 Miss Adler, Do You Like It?

Whether out of gratitude or Eric's own charm, Sierra hugged his neck and kissed him. Eric stared at her with a heat in his eyes that made Sierra feel hot all over. She gathered the courage to ask, "Do you want to continue?" Suddenly, Eric leaned in. He advanced while she retreated...Sierra was forced to lie back and barely managed to support herself with her hands. She dared not look at Eric and lowered her long lashes under the light, casting shadows like a row of small fans.
He took one of her hands and pressed it against his handsome face for her to feel. "Miss Adler, do you like it?" Sierra widened her eyes and blushed uncontrollably.
Eric nudged her nose with his own confidently saying: "When we're together I don't know who is taking advantage of whom; I see that you seem quite eager."
"I'm not! I just want to sleep," said Sierra as she crawled into bed.
Eric looked disappointed but he had been busy for days now and was already tired; he only got aroused when he saw Sierra wearing a black shirt earlier on before being interrupted by something else.
He packed up the medicine box then followed suit onto the bed where having another person around wasn't so comfortable but instead dragged Sierra into his arms holding their fingers tightly intertwined.
Sierra lay still in his embrace afraid to move. She thought she wouldn't be able to fall asleep but soon drifted off amidst the steady sound of his heartbeat.
That night was the best sleep she had gotten in recent days...
She woke up early at eight o'clock sharp seeing that Eric had already gotten up dressed smartly standing beside the bed tying up his tie - deep blue shirt paired with grey trousers looking mature yet elegant.
Seeing that she was awake, he naturally said: "I have an appointment later, you can go home and tidy up then I'll come pick you up tonight."
Sierra whispered: "I'll come over when you call me, isn't that better?"
Eric smiled faintly: "It's more convenient to stay here." He was busy with work and didn't want the hassle of going out to fetch her every time.
Sierra didn't object any further.
At this moment, there were sounds of housework being done outside along with the aroma of food wafting in. Sierra was a little surprised.
Eric noticed her expression and explained: "It's Roti! She comes for four hours every morning to make breakfast and clean up; it won't affect our normal life."
Sierra nodded as she got off the bed to help him tie his tie. Her fingers were nimble making even his tie look good.
Eric couldn't help but ask: "Did you always help Roger with his ties before?"
Sierra felt a pang in her heart. In fact, it wasn't true; she often helped her father practice tying ties instead because Roger...didn’t like her touching him so he kept his distance from her.
"Eric, can we not talk about him anymore?" Sierra protested softly.
Without saying anything else Eric pointed at the paper bag on the bedside table saying: "Lucy sent this over early today - besides clothes there is also a set of underwear for you to try on."
Sierra blushed deeply thinking about what Lucy might have thought.
Eric pinched her cheek lightly saying: “Are you shy again? Men love women and no one will say anything.”
He finished speaking then walked out of the bedroom leaving Sierra standing there feeling embarrassed holding onto new clothes provided by Eric which fit perfectly including even the size of underwear making her feel even more self-conscious.
In their spacious dining room, Eric drank coffee while reading financial news. Besides running a law firm, he also had other business ventures but most of them were handled by professional teams and didn't require much of his attention.
Sierra came out of the bedroom. He looked up at her for a while before saying: "You look pretty good."

Sorry Mr. Howard
