Chapter 38 Eric is Coming Back

Roger's mood was a bit dull.
He leaned against the headboard and enjoyed the care of his fiancée, who fed him and handed him water... without any princess-like temper!
Linda was born beautiful, and Roger wasn't a man who would compromise himself.
He dismissed his subordinates and trapped his fiancée under him...
Linda blushed on her cheeks, pointing at his heart with her slender fingers, softly saying: "Get up! You have injuries on your body."
Roger's gaze was deep with pure male aggression.
She couldn't help but tremble.
Soon the private ward became hot. Roger was very enthusiastic and only let go of her after two hours. After it was over, Linda shyly snuggled in his arms and coquettishly asked: "What happened to you today?"
Roger lazily replied: "Nothing! I just missed you."
Linda kissed him on the cheek.
She approached him and exhaled like an orchid: "Brother will be back in a few days. I'll invite you to dinner at home! Brother has several projects suitable for you in his company. Show your best performance then!"
Roger's gaze sank slightly.
Although Linda didn't want to leave him, she knew that Roger didn't like her being too clingy, so she only stayed for half a day before leaving.
Sitting in the black car, she couldn't help calling Eric.
Eric had an important meeting today and turned off his phone all day long. He just turned it on now when Linda called.
"Hello Linda? What's up?"
Linda still had some lingering feelings in her eyes as she circled around with her slender fingers while speaking softly: "Brother, can you help me?"
Eric loosened his tie: "What happened? Who bullied you?"
Linda coquettishly replied: "It's Roger who got hurt! I asked him who injured him, but he refused to say."
Hearing Roger's name, Eric remained silent.
At this time, Linda murmured to herself: "So many things happened today! Brother, I met Jason today. He said Sierra's father committed suicide inside. It sounds so pitiful."
Eric stopped in his tracks with his hand still on the loosened tie.
He asked again: "What did you say, Linda?"
Linda didn't suspect anything and repeated it again: "It’s Jason’s girlfriend. Her dad was involved in an economic case and committed suicide...it's quite pitiful!"
Eric remained silent for a while before telling Linda that he had something else to do and hung up first.
Linda was a bit anxious: "Brother, I haven't finished yet."

Eric couldn't get through to Sierra on the phone as she kept it turned off all the time.
He decided to call Mr. Rodriguez instead.
Mr. Rodriguez told him about the situation and laughed afterwards: “Eric, this is a good opportunity for you to be a hero.”
Eric smiled bitterly: “You're still making fun of me at this point!”
After hanging up the phone, he immediately instructed his secretary to book a flight for that evening. The secretary was surprised and reminded him that he had a court hearing tomorrow morning.

Suddenly Eric woke up...he had forgotten about it!
He had been busy with this case for a month now and tomorrow would be when everything came together; no matter what happened he couldn’t leave.
After thinking about it for a while, Eric wrote down Miss Adler’s address and phone number on paper for Lucy.
“Fly over to New York tomorrow morning and find Miss Adler there. Let her call me back!”
Lucy had seen Sierra before; she smiled and said: "Miss Adler is very beautiful!"
Eric gave her a glance.
Lucy didn't dare to say anything else.
After Lucy left, Eric continued to work on the materials for tomorrow's court hearing. However, he would call Sierra every one or two hours, but couldn't get through until late at night.
In the early morning, Eric booked a flight for the next afternoon...
