CHAPTER 14

NO MATTER WHAT.
Alpha Kane asked for an urgent meeting and Luna Cynthia, Beta Ian and Scout Caleb were in attendance.

"I have called all of you here because I have realised the urgency of asking witch Jezebel to reverse the spell on the pack and eventually killing her once and for all."Alpha Kane said as soon as they settled down and all of them nodded in agreement.

"Luna Cynthia here is going to prepare the warriors of this land. Scout Caleb, you will be required to send the scouts who will give us the exact location of the witch so that we can attack. " Alpha Kane ordered.

"What about me?" Beta Ian asked.

"You will be making my coffee as I contemplate this entire issue," Alpha Kane said and Beta Ian felt so disrespected. He was the Beta of this pack, not some office assistant.

"But…" Beta Ian decided to counter but Alpha Kane did not give him a chance.

"The meeting is adjourned. Beta Ian, get me a glass of warm milk," Alpha Kane ordered. Beta Ian went to get the milk but deep within him, he felt like he could strangle Alpha Kane and kill him. How dare he embarrass him in front of the scout and her ex-lover who is Luna now. He is able to rule the pack in his absence. He is second in command, not sort of office assistant.

He can do so much more for this kingdom. He is not meant to serve the Alpha's personal needs but the pack. He is the Beta of the pack.

"Finally someone got it right," Cynthia told Beta Ian when she followed him to the kitchen.

"What?" Beta Ian implored as he poured the warm milk on a cup. He had not expected someone to follow him.

"You belong to the kitchen. " Cynthia said and laughed before walking away.

Beta Ian wished that he could slap her on the cheek but he cannot do that. He must accord the highest form of respect to the Alpha and the Luna. This is as per the Midnight Pack constitution.

He however wished for a miracle to happen so that Alpha Kane and Luna Cynthia would pay dearly for humiliating him.

"I want warm milk!" Alpha Kane shouted and Beta Ian rushed towards his office as he carried his milk.

Luna Cynthia proudly went to announce to the warriors that there is a war coming and they better prepare for it. The warrior girls and men looked at her with a lot of admiration now that she is the Luna of Midnight pack. They all wanted her position. They knew for sure that she was favoured by the moon goddess.

Luna Cynthia gave out the instructions of how the intended training would go on and she watched as they rehearsed. She was so confident in them because she had seen them fight so hard.

She knew that they were going to give their lives for the pack when it gets to that point because of the love that they have for the pack. They are so loyal and passionate in what they do and they would definitely bring her witch Jezebel's head and this would make Alpha Kane proud of her. He will love her more than he does now because she would have fulfilled his dream of getting revenge. The pack will get their werewolf powers back and this will make them praise her from generation to generation. They will compose songs to glorify her and this will last forever and ever.

Luna Cynthia remained with them teaching them new skills here and there until evening when he joined Alpha Kane for dinner. They ate together as they talked about random things and later, they showered and went to bed.

As Luna Cynthia lay on Alpha Kane's chest, running her fingertips on the hairs that covered his entire chest, she decided to confess the love that he felt for him.

For the past days that they have been together,the love that she felt for him had literally doubled. She cannot imagine a life without him. He had given her so much to remember. Actually, right now she wished that the moon goddess would bless her with many pups that would continue Alpha Kane's name and legacy.

"By the way dear, I have something to tell you," Cynthia said.

"What?" Alpha Kane asked as he stared at the ceiling.

"When I see you, it's as if space and time become the finest point imaginable, as if time collapses into one tiny speck and explodes at light speed. It's as if my universe begins and ends with you. I could run forever, search forever, but in the end, every path leads right back to your heart and soul. I love you, always," Cynthia confessed.

"I love you too," Alpha Kane lied.

Alpha Kane was excited that they were going to be done with this revenge soon enough so that he could go back looking for Ava. His heart feels alone every single day that he recalls that she is not there with him.

Once all this is over, he will once again do the rejection. He will reject Cynthia and announce to the pack that his one and only true love was none other than Ava.

Honestly, she is the one who makes his world go round.

He knows that Ava will not forgive him easily thanks to how much he hurt her but he was going to do his best to win her love. He will prove beyond reasonable doubt that she is the only woman on this planet whom he loves and adores.

He is going to persist in his forgiveness till she will finally forgive him. They would get married and she would bear pups for him, just like the way they had planned as they wished upon a shooting star back then when they met during the night.

"Why are you thinking so hard, baby? I thought that we are going to make love," Cynthia said as she placed her hand over his boxers massaging him gently but Alpha Kane put her hand away.

"I am so sorry Cynthia but we can't do it tonight. I have Jezebel to worry about. " Alpha Kane said and Cynthia felt rejected.

She could feel her eyes tearing up but she bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying. She could taste blood in her mouth but she did not care. Anyway she had decided on one thing and that is she would never let Alpha Kane go. It can only happen when she is dead but she is not ready to die yet. The point is it would be impossible to take Alpha Kane away from her.

"What if I give you a blow job. I am good at it," Cynthia was not willing to give up trying. She loves him for goodness sake.

**
KISUMU CITY
"Now that you have decided for the two of us to be friends, how about you show me your real face?" Ava asked as she looked around for the witch to appear.

She was thinking that she was probably hallucinating when a middle aged woman appeared right in front of her. She had brown bouncy hair and a pretty face. Her eyes were dark brown in colour. She wore a black jumpsuit and most importantly she had a wand in her right hand.

"I was expecting that reaction. I knew that you expected me to be an old miserable granny," Witch Jezebel said.

"How comes?" Ava continued popping her eyes out in surprise.

"I am a witch, I can be anything I want," Witch Jezebel bragged before chanting some weird words to her wand.

Immediately, she turned into an old granny with wrinkles all over her face and white hair. She also had a walking stick.

"No, that is creepy, can you please be a young witch Jezebel?" Ava asked as she closed her eyes. She did not want nightmares which would happen when she allowed the image of the old witch Jezebel to get to her mind.

"Open your eyes now. I am a typical middle aged woman," Witch Jezebel said and Ava slowly opened her eyes.

"Why do you do evil? You are so pretty to be evil." Ava caught herself asking.

"I am here because I know that you need me. I want you to admit that first," Witch Jezebel said with a more serious tone and Ava freaked Ava out.

"Yes," She let it out in a gasp.

"I want revenge as you want revenge. I want Alpha Kane to pay for what he did just as you do," Witch Jezebel said with a shaky voice. Her eyes turned black and then back to normal as Ava watched.

Ava thought of turning around and doing the right thing but she didn't. Instead, she continued talking to the same witch who killed her parents and took away her werewolf powers together with that of the pack.

Is this revenge so into her that she has forgotten every hurt and pain that witch Jezebel did, now that she wants to work with her?


"I want to offer you my help. In return, I want you to do one thing for me," Witch Jezebel announced.

"No, no! I can't do it. Go away. You killed my parents and took away my werewolf powers together with that of my friends," Ava cried.

"Are you sure about this? You need me Ava, not the other way round." Witch Jezebel said and patiently waited for her reply.
