CHAPTER 39

THE PRISONER.
Alpha Kane could not handle the disrespect coming from Luna Cynthia yet it is her fault that they lost their werewolf powers. How dare she yet she was stupid enough to kill her without thinking about the pack. Alpha Kane felt guilty for choosing her to be Luna because she is a selfish leader who needs to be stopped.

The disrespect resulted in him boiling in anger. He could not hold it together and that is when he decided to slap her hard in the face. She wanted to break her nose with a couple of punches but Ava asked him to take it easy.

Ava reminded him that Luna Cynthia needed to be alive for her to face the consequences of her actions.

"Take it easy," Ava urged when Alpha Kane failed to listen to her.

"She fucking intimidate me. I have to teach her a lesson!" Alpha Kane yelled.

" Baby, we already talked about this. Please, remember the bigger picture. She needs to pay for what she has done to the pack," Ava reminded him.

"Slap me again if you want!" Luna Cynthia had lost her guard. She felt so intimidated when Alpha Kane slapped her in front of Ava.

"Calm down baby, don't let her make you feel awful," Ava continued to advise him as Alpha Kane took deep breaths so as to calm down.

"By the way, Witch Jezebel's last wish was for the two of you to be together and in harmony. She wanted the both of you to have a happily ever laughter " Luna Cynthia laughed sarcastically though she was hurting inside.

A part of Luna Cynthia's heart thought that she was going to win Alpha Kane's love in this fight against her sister but it turns out that Ava was telling the truth. Alpha Kane's heart belonged to her, only her, no one else.

To make herself feel better, she vowed that as long as she is alive, she will keep putting obstacles in Alpha Kane and Ava's way and eventually they will have to break up. They don't deserve a happily ever after yet she is lonely, thanks to them.

"By the way Ava, has he told you of how much we used to fuck? We fucked so many times. Cab you imagine that we even fucked in his office more than once," Luna Cynthia said and Ava could feel bitter bile tasting at the back of her throat. This statement really got to her.

Alpha Kane noticed this and he decided to intervene.

" You can never be compared to her and that is why I left everything to be with her," Alpha Kane said and Ava found herself smiling amidst the situation. She loved how Luna Cynthia frowned when Alpha Kane said that. It hurt her to know that Ava will always be better than her.

"You will never end up together! I will ensure it! " Luna Cynthia poured out her frustration.

"You are just jealous that no one really wants you. Beta Ian left you even after you made him the Alpha. Mark you this is not the first time that he has dumped your ass. Cynthia,you are so selfish and full of yourself and that is why you will never find love. You will never have a person to call your own. No man would want to be associated with you," Ava said and this hurt Luna Cynthia. She remained silent for a while.

"Let us take her to the pack. She must face the wrath of the people she betrayed. I want to see them rejecting her as their Luna and eventually, that title will belong to me. Hey Cynthia, how does that make you feel?!" Ava asked and the thought of this made her happy.

"Fuck you!" She cursed.

"I will be Luna, Luna Ava," Ava laughed heartily.

"Yes baby, consider it done," Alpha Kane said. Luna Cynthia on the other hand lost it.

"I will ruin you both! I hate you all so much!" Shecried. She had thought of running away but she could not do it. It was pointless because Ava could easily shift and catch up with her. She had to cooperate and hope that things will favor her later, even if they don't seem so, now.

"What if they kill me?" Luna Cynthia asked. A part of her was scared. Beta Ian and the rest of the warriors had promised to kill her if she showed up within the pack jurisdiction.

"The better. You deserve it anyway. "Alpha Kane said and it made Luna Cynthia feel worse. She couldn't believe that the same man who lied to her that she loves her would turn against her.

Luna Cynthia tried to be smart to get to their emotions hoping that they would let her walk away.

"Ava, do you remember when mum said that we should always be there for each other?" Luna Cynthia said in a low voice.

"Now you remember, huh? You didn't remember that when you were taking Alpha Kane away from me,or did you?" Ava asked and Luna Cynthia knew that her plan with Ava had failed terribly.

Anyway, she tried her luck with Alpha Kane hoping that he would feel sorry for her.

"Alpha Kane, do you remember promising to never hurt me. This is the time that I want you to actualise that promise," Luna Cynthia said but Alpha Kane shook his head in disagreement.

"Well, you should have thought about that when you decided to make Beta Ian the Alpha. You humiliated me and told the entire pack bad things about me," Alpha Kane stated.

"You will face the consequences of your action. If I were you, I would not only be calm but also quiet," Ava advised.

"You heard her," Alpha Kane said as he tied her hand with a twig of a plant that resembled a rope. They asked her to walk in front as they followed behind.

"I thank the Moon goddess that Alpha Daniel was not the one responsible for killing my sister ,Jez. At least we don't have a war to think about" Ava said when Luna Cynthia was a few yards in front of them.

"Me too, I was so scared by the way. " Alpha Kane confessed.

"So, I was thinking. Now that you are a witch, will you be able to fix our powers? I saw you that day. You were very powerful," Alpha Kane told her as they continued walking.

"Honestly, I don't know what happened that day. For now, I can only make things appear. I really don't know how long it will take me to learn that spell. Let us hope that one day, I will be able to fix your werewolf powers," Ava said and Alpha Kane was filled with hope.

"I am going to walk with you in this journey, I am going to ensure that you will become the most powerful witch ever," Alpha Kane offered his support.

"Thank you baby. Now that you have talked about this, I want us to talk about our secrets being out there," Ava said.

"What are you talking about? I am not understanding," Alpha Kane was honest.

"Well, Luna Cynthia knows that you don't have your werewolf powers. What happens when she opens her mouth and tells everyone the truth?" Ava asked.

"I am pretty sure that she cannot say that," Alpha Kane said.

"You know her so well, huh?" Ava mumbled.

"No, of course not. Alpha Kane defended his reply.

"I know my sister. She will say it. So, how are you going to react to that?" Ava asked.

"Well, you will be my Luna and since you have the werewolf powers, they will respect you. You will have the upper lead if that is what they will want now that I don't have my werewolf powers," Alpha Kane jested.

"Are you sure about this?" Ava implored.

"Besides, they know that I am a witch and they might reject me," Ava added.

"They won't. I will talk to them and I will let them know that you are the only person alive who can fix their werewolf powers. This is enough to make them embrace you," Alpha Kane answered confidently because he had thought of this already.

"But, what if…" Ava failed to complete her sentence because Alpha Kane had something to say.

"Eventually, you will fix our werewolf powers. You are so powerful and gifted my love, don't ever doubt that," Alpha Kane said this from the bottom of his heart and Ava was touched by it.

She made him stop before she kissed him. His lips were warm and soft. They parted slightly, allowing her tongue to slip inside.

Their bodies pressed together heatedly and they both breath heavily as their lips pressed together. Ava could taste their shared breath and feel the thud of their combined heartbeat.

After she finally pulled away, she gave an order.

"Prisoner Cynthia! Change of plans. We have to pass by the cave so that I can carry my spell book and my wand!" She ordered Luna Cynthia aka the prisoner.
