CHAPTER 7

MY LUNA
Cynthia thought that everything was a dream because the situation she was in was perfect to be true.

"Give us some alone time! We need to discuss personal things!" Alpha Kane commanded Beta Ian who was forced to remain outside, manning the door.

Alpha Kane and Cynthia got into the house . Alpha Kane went ahead to pull a chair for her and she was in cloud nine. Alpha Kane was so romantic.

Finally, she is going to be genuinely happy. The moon goddess has ensured that she has found someone who will love her, the way that she deserves.

She has been through so much hurt while with Beta Ian but with Alpha Kane, she has a feeling that things will be perfect.

Alpha Kane is not promiscuous, if he was then he would never have failed to date someone for the last three years yet girls kept throwing themselves at him because he was the Alpha.

Alpha Kane loved the pack so much and he had used the three years to look for a Luna that the pack deserves. Choosing Cynthia for a date on this specific day made Cynthia feel special. Out of over a hundred girls in the pack, she is the chosen one.

She could already tell that Alpha Kane is inviting her for dinner because he wants to ask her to be the Luna of Midnight Pack. Cynthia looked at Alpha Kane's eyes keenly and she could tell that he was attracted to her.

Alpha Kane loved Cynthia's smile, her scent and her beauty. He could feel that he had made the right choice. Cynthia was all rounded hence she would make a better Luna compared to her sister Ava who barely knew how to fight.

Alpha Kane wanted to trap her heart with his good romantic gestures and therefore he decided to make her a plate.

After that he came to sit with her.

"Bon Appetit!" He told her, smiling ear to ear and Cynthia smiled back.

"Please take a bite. I have ensured that the food was prepared by the best chef of Midnight pack," Alpha Kane explained and Cynthia felt special. She went ahead to take a bite just as he had instructed.

"Yumm!" Cynthia moaned as she took the first bite of chicken. The food was a sumptuous delicacy.

"I am glad that you like it," Alpha Kane said.

"Thank you, your honor," Cynthia said courteously.

"Come on Cynthia. We are friends. Stop referring to me as your honor. Just call me Alpha Kane. " Alpha Kane said.

"Okay...s...Alpha Kane," Cynthia was about to call him sir but she quickly corrected herself.

This was weird. She was used to referring to him as your honor because he was powerful. He is the last man in the Midnight pack with the werewolf powers. The rest of them lost their powers when witch Jezebel cast the spell after killing their parents. The thought of what witch Jezebel did got to Cynthia and her mood suddenly changed.

"Is everything okay? Your mood has suddenly changed. Have I said or done anything to offend you?" Alpha Kane asked. He was scared to lose her yet she was the best of the best.

"No, of course not. It is just that I thought about her. I can't lie to you Alpha but I want her head," Cynthia said through gritted teeth.

"Who?" Alpha Kane asked.

"Witch Jezebel. He killed our parents and took away our powers with that stupid spell. I want her head. She must pay for what she did to this pack. I will not stop fighting until I kill her!" Cynthia said this word by word and Alpha Kane was so proud of her.

This even cemented the why as to why he was marrying her. This is definitely the Luna that midnight pack needs, not a weak girl like Ava who could barely hold a sword.

"You know what Cynthia, I am with you in this. I cannot wait to work with you to bring her down and to kill her!" Alpha Kane promised.

"Really?" Cynthia inquired because this was a really huge honor.

"Yes!" Alpha Kane affirmed and Cynthia was bubbling with so much excitement.

"Deal?" Cynthia asked him as she stretched her hand for him to shake.

"Deal," He said and the two of them shook hands.

They ate in silence till Alpha Kane cleared the air again.

"I invited you over for dinner because I want to tell you something," Alpha Kane stated.

"What?" Cynthia asked as she looked into his eyes.

"I love you," Alpha Kane said with a small smile playing on his lips.

"Really?" Cynthia was confused. Haven't they just met a few minutes ago? How come that he is already in love with her?

"Yes, I know that we have only met for a short time but I can tell that you are the one for me. You are my mate Cynthia. I can feel it. With you here with me, my wolf is happy. It feels shy while I look into your eyes but it feels good that the two of us are together," Alpha Kane added and Cynthia melted with excitement but she teared up a little bit.

Cynthia had thought that she always had bad luck when it comes to relationships but it turns out that her past relationship did not last because the moon goddess had a good plan for her. She has always wanted her to be Luna but she was too blind to see it and that is why she chased Beta Ian who did not treat her well. If that is not enough, he cheated on her and told her that she was not worth anything.

"I am sorry to be emotional. It is just that I thought that I had bad luck when it comes to love," Cynthia confided in Alpha Kane.

"No Cynthia. You have good luck. You were chosen by the mood goddess to be the Luna of our pack. You are the most lucky girl in the world," Alpha Kane said with a small smile lining his lips and this made Cynthia so happy. She was living her dream. This is what she has always wanted. To lead.

"Thank you for choosing me. I swear to you Alpha Kane, I will make the best Luna who ever lived. We will seek revenge together, I will get pregnant for you, I will love you the way that you have never been loved before. I know you well to know that you barely dated in the last three years and so, this next year will be filled with intense love making as we recover the three lost years," Cynthia confessed.

From her confession, Alpha Kane realised that Ava did not tell Cynthia of their relationship. Heck, he thought that the two sisters were close. Seems like he did not know them well.

He thought that Ava would love the idea of him getting married to Cynthia but with this estranged relationship of theirs, he could already tell that this was going to be a war between sisters. He knows Ava so well, Ava was not going to give up anytime soon. But will Cynthia sustain the pressure so that they can get revenge on witch Jezebel before Ava ruins their plan? She can. This was getting so complicated and he had to do something, fast.

"Are you okay?" Cynthia asked when Alpha Kane's facial expression changed.

"I am fine. It's just that I was thinking on how to get rid of witch Jezebel," Alpha Kane lied to her.

"Don't worry my Alpha. I will bring you her head. " Cynthia said with so much confidence and this reminded Alpha Kane that he had made the right decision.

"I love you," Alpha Kane repeated as he placed his hand on top of hers.

The idea of becoming the Luna of Midnight pack made Cynthia excited. Everyone except the Alpha will be taking orders from her, including Beta Ian. Look at Karma.

This is going to be her payback time and she is not going to stop until she ensures that Beta Ian pays for all the hurt that he caused her.

"I have chosen you, Cynthia Rose, as the Luna of Midnight pack. You are smart, sexy, and moreso a fighter. Honestly, that is what this pack needs. It will be an honour if you say yes to me," Alpha Kane said after carefully bringing her to the side and going on one knee.

"Yes, I say Yes!" Cynthia said enthusiastically and Alpha Kane got to his feet. He pulled her to a tight hug as inhaled her sweet scent.

He could not hold back. He was going to be her Luna anyway.

To seal the sweet proposal, he captured her lips into a kiss. Maybe time stopped when his lips met hers, but the flutter only intensified. Cynthia's heart pounded in her chest as her knees got weaker. She could only focus on how soft he felt against her mouth, how addictively he invaded all her senses.

"You are so sweet my love. I cannot wait to tell the entire pack that you are my Luna," Alpha Kane said after pulling away from the kiss.

"Beta Ian!" Alpha Kane yelled his name.

"Yes sir!" He came running.

"Ring the bells. I want to announce that Cynthia Rose is the Luna of Midnight pack!" Alpha Kane ordered.

"Yes sir!" Even though Beta Ian was not on board with the idea, it had to be done.
