CHAPTER 15

A PERFECT MATCH.
KISUMU CITY
"I know that you think that Alpha Kane can be trusted and that he loves you so much. Anyway let me burst that bubble by telling you one thing which is the truth. Alpha Kane is already sleeping with your sister Cynthia and he makes love to her every night," Witch Jezebel told Ava and she could feel her blood boil. She huffed and puffed in anger as she recalled the day Alpha Kane rejected her. She thought that Alpha Kane would regret that decision but it turns out that he couldn't care less.

Wait, what if the witch is lying to her? She is evil, she can do anything to poison her mind.

"Stop lying. You are telling me this so that you can use me," Ava countered.

"Why should I lie to you? Anyway, this is the last and final chance that I am giving you. It is either you take it or you live the rest of your life regretting this chance," Witch Jezebel added.

"What do you want in return?" Ava shrugged. She knew that witch Jezebel definitely wanted something in return. There is no way that she was helping her for nothing in return.

"I want to know, do you want my help or not? I cannot convince you again," Witch Jezebel countered and Ava knew that she needed to make a decision.

Ava thought clearly and realised that she might as well take the help offered by Witch Jezebel. She would be smart about it after she gets what she wants. She will not get to that point where witch Jezebel will control her.

She must take her offer and do the revenge or else she will live with Alpha Kane's and Cynthia's betrayal for the rest of her life. It had to be done.

"Have you made a decision? I do not have so much time. " Witch Jezebel warned.

When Ava smiled at her, Witch Jezebel knew that Ava was going to work with her. She was very excited. Finally, she was going to grant her friends their wishes. There is no way that she was helping Ava. She was using her. She was going to use her to divide the pack. After the division, she is going to attack the pack and kill them all. Nothing is going to stop her. This is what she has always wanted and she is happy that Ava is going to fulfill her wishes.

"What will you give me in return?" Ava asked before she could fully decide if she was going to take the shortcut or not.

"I am glad that you have asked," Witch Jezebel said before she grinned at her mischievously.

"Go ahead, tell me," Ava begged. She wanted to know what she was going to gain with their union.

"Okay, I am going to make you sexy, powerful, a fighter and most importantly, I am going to give you your werewolf powers back," The witch said with so much confidence and Ava's heart started beating rapidly.

This is what she has always wanted. Heck, she had missed switching to her wolf and going to hunt.

"So, are you impressed, are you going to say yes?" Witch Jezebel inquired.

MIDNIGHT PACK
Later that day, Caleb received news from the scouts that were doing the groundwork hence he rushed to tell Alpha Kane of the news.

Alpha Kane was drinking wine as he recalled the first time he made love to Ava when someone knocked the door in urgency.

"Who is it?" He asked. He did not want the person to be Luna Cynthia. He had started feeling that he had made the wrong decision by marrying her.

He should have trained Ava to fight and after that he should have chosen her as his mate.

"It is me, Scout Caleb," Caleb said as he waited anxiously for him to allow him in.

"Come in,"Alpha Kane sighed in relief and allowed him into his space.

"Have a seat,"Alpha Kane told Caleb who stood right in front of him, waiting to be Invited to sit.

"Thank you,"He mumbled as he sat right across where he was seated.

"So, how can I help you?" Alpha Kane asked as he maintained eye contact with him. He hoped that he did not come here without a proper reason since he is too busy to be bothered.

"Unfortunately, I have some bad news," Scout Caleb said and he had to stop talking because he could hear heels clicking against the tiles as they drew nearer.

"That should be Cynthia,"Alpha Kane stated.

"Should I get Beta Ian? I am sure that he needs to be here,"Scout Caleb got that chance to defend Beta Ian because he is their leader too.

"Whatever, you know what, go get him. I need more wine also now that you are going to disclose some bad news," Alpha Kane said. He could feel his insides curving in and this was enough to tell him that things were falling apart. Nothing was actually going as planned.

Luna Cynthia met Scout Caleb at the doorway. They did not exchange a word since he was in a hurry.

"What is wrong with him?" Luna Cynthia asked Alpha Kane who barely looked up to talk to her.

"He is going to get Beta Ian. He says that he has some news,"Alpha Kane gave her a heads up anyway.

"Oh, I see. I hope it is good news,"Luna Cynthia was so jovial.

She wanted to steal a naughty kiss with Alpha Kane before scout Caleb and Beta Ian came back but Alpha Kane pushed her away.

"Respect this office," Alpha Kane ordered.

"But…" She gasped recalling the steamy makeout session they had in here.

"Listen to me. I have said that you respect this office!" Alpha Kane said, raising his voice at her and Luna Cynthia swallowed the bitter bile that tasted at the back of her throat.

Before she could say or do anything, Scout Caleb came back accompanied by Beta Ian.

"Tell us the bad news already. I am tired of waiting," Alpha Kane complained.

"All protocol observed, I wanted to share this bad news with you guys so that we can find a way forward. The scouts who were looking for witch Jezebel found where she lived and that is in her cage. However, they looked for her there but they couldn't find her. They met one person from Moonlight pack who said that she had seen witch Jezebel going to Kisumu city," Scout Caleb said and Alpha Kane could feel anger surging through his system.

"Tell those scouts to go to Kisumu city and look for her. I need her location so that I can kill her," Alpha Kane insisted.

"I think a few of them should remain in her cave, just in case she comes back," Beta Ian added.

"No, all of them should go to the city and locate them. Leave my office, all of you. I need some time alone," Alpha Kane shouted before he went to stand by his window as he tried to calm his wolf down. He wanted to switch so badly.

Beta Ian and Scout Caleb left. Luna Cynthia decided to stay so as to calm him down but she was not an exception.

"I know how to make you feel better," Luna Cynthia whispered from behind but Alpha Kane knew that he had heard enough from her.

"Leave now. I want to be alone!" Alpha Kane shouted.

"No, I won't leave you alone. I want to be there for you,"Luna Cynthia countered.

"So, you want to disrespect my orders now, huh?" Alpha Kane inquired as he moved too close to her comfort.

Luna Cynthia did not have a choice but to rush out. This time however, far tears fell from her eyes. She could not help but feel rejected. Why was Alpha Kane treating her as if she did not matter.

Alpha Kane smashed the wine glass against the wall. The wall was coloured red as the wine spilled in the wall. His breathing was rapid. He felt bad. More like a failure. The moon goddess had given her a perfect Luna but she chose to reject her because of what people would say.

Alpha Kane needed Ava more than ever. He wanted to run to her and hug her. He wanted to hear her advice concerning attacking witch Jezebel because she gave the best advice ever.

Cynthia ran behind the Alpha's office where no one could see her and started crying. She cried hysterically because her heart was hurting. She felt like dying because of so much pain that only her heart could feel.

Did she make the wrong choice by falling in love with Alpha Kane? She wondered as she continued sobbing.

No this was the right choice. This is what the moon goddess wanted for her and she was not going to give up. Cynthia gave herself a pep talk.

Heeding to her own advice, Cynthia quickly wiped away her tears and wore a warm smile. She was going back to that office. She was not going to leave until they made love.

She was never going to feel unworthy of their love and neither was she going to give up on their love.

Their relationship was a perfect match that was bestowed by the moon goddess and who was she to try and give up on it?

She smiled more widely when she took the last turn to his office.

This is her chance to make things right.
