CHAPTER 42

I WANT TO BE YOURS TONIGHT.
Ian could not live without the Beta title. He felt lost. Being a Beta is what he had known all his life. How is he supposed to live without that title?

He acknowledged the fact that he had wronged Alpha Kane and therefore he decided to go and ask him for forgiveness.

Alpha Kane was taking a stroll through the land when he heard him calling.

As soon as Ian reached where he was standing, he went on his knees and started begging Alpha Kane for forgiveness. He said that he was wrong to stab him in the back but now more than ever he is going to protect them.

He said that he regretted his actions and he is willing to do better.

Since Luna Ava had forgiven her sister Cynthia, Alpha Kane decided that it was fair to forgive Ian too.

"It's okay. You can go back to the Beta house. Please, don't ever think about stabbing me in the back again because I am going to kill you. Anyway, go and resume your duties," Alpha Kane said.

Beta Ian was relieved and excited at the same time. He promised himself that he was going to do all it takes to ensure that the Alpha and the Luna are okay.

He was surely going to protect them. He is not also going to envy the Alpha position because it does not belong to him. He is a Beta and he has to do his best in the position granted to him.

"Thank you for granting me a second chance. I will ensure that I live up to it," Beta Ian announced before running back to the house. He had to be quick about leaving Alpha Kane by himself so that he could not change his mind.

Luna Ava had made a promise to the members of Midnight pack and that is why she woke up early the next morning so as to practice casting spells.

She worked hard on it. She was just by herself because Alpha Kane had gone to unite the elders of the pack, otherwise he would be with her, psyching her up.

It took her so long but she finally managed to master the spell of making things to do themselves. For example, making a mop to mop the floor. This was still basic but she knew that with time she will be able to do major spells like returning werewolf powers to the members of Midnight pack.

Luna Ava was proud of her progress. She took a while to practice meditation before she went to the next set of spells.

If Cynthia was not walking hastily, she was running. She couldn't wait to get to Daylight pack. She wanted to reach there as soon as possible.

Alpha Daniel was the only person who was going to help her out and she wanted to meet him this very day before it was too late. She had some news that would be music to his ears.

Cynthia did not allow herself to rest. She was at the verge of passing out when she arrived at Daylight Pack. She was however lucky to find a kind woman who took her in and gave her food.

She ate and drank before she told the kind woman that she wanted to meet the Alpha because she had news for him.

The woman was really filled with kindness because she offered to take her to the Alpha.

Alpha Daniel was chilling with one of his many whores when a guard showed up and informed her that two women wanted to see him.

Alpha Daniel had a soft spot towards women hence he found himself following the guard out so as to meet the women.

"She has some news for you, she is from midnight pack," The woman told Alpha Daniel who took a look at Cynthia.

"Thank you Miranda, you can go now,"He dismissed the kind woman.

Alpha Daniel has always wanted to attack and take over Midnight pack because of their fertile lands. With this woman from Midnight pack gracing his presence, he had a feeling that he was going to use her to ensure his dream of taking over the pack came to pass.

"Who are you and how can I help you? I don't have much time. Tell me what brings you to my place!" Alpha Daniel said with a rather arrogant tone.

Cynthia had to take it in calmly because she had to accomplish her plan.

"My name is Cynthia and I am here because I want to tell you a secret about Midnight pack. My secret will help you take over their land. I know that, that is what you have always wanted," Cynthia stuttered and this made Alpha Daniel excited.

Immediately, he called his Beta and the three of them went to his office because Alpha Daniel felt that this was more of a business talk.

"First things first, why are you telling secrets against your pack? Or is this a trap? All werewolves are always loyal to their pack. " The Beta made his comment.

"No, of course not. This is not a trap. " Cynthia murmured.

"Give us a clear reason why you are telling us of their secret or else we will throw you out!I don't have time to waste on useless people!" Alpha Daniel yelled. He did not like it when someone wastes his time.

"The members of Midnight pack betrayed me. They denounced me as their Luna after all the sacrifices that I made for them. If that is not enough, they welcomed the new Luna with so much glory. I am doing this because I want revenge. They betrayed me and they deserve to pay for that," Cynthia said and she could feel pain throbbing at the back of her throat. She had not gotten over the fact that the people she trusted the most betrayed her.

There was a long while of silence and Cynthia did not know how this would turn out.

Eventually though, Alpha Ian spoke.

"I love revenge. Come on, spill the secret already. I want to know so that I can plan my people to take over their lands once and for all "Alpha Daniel who loved wars insisted.

He loved fighting ruthlessly. He wanted to maintain his rank as the most feared and powerful Alpha in the region.

"Well, I am here to say that the members of Midnight pack lost their werewolf powers. Witch Jezebel cast a spell and she died before she fixed it," Cynthia finally let the secret out and Alpha Daniel looked at his Beta with a grin plastered on his face. This was the best news ever.

"Are you serious?" The Beta wanted confirmation. This was too good to be true.

"Yes, we cannot turn to our wolves Including the Alpha. " Cynthia added.

"Alpha Kane?" Alpha Daniel broke into a rib cracking laughter. This meant one thing.

If he goes with his strongest men of the land to take over Midnight pack, he is going to bring them down and take over their land. Losing their werewolf powers is such a blessing to the Daylight pack and to him. He will have accomplished his dream of taking over Midnight Pack's land.

"What if she is lying. Can we trust you?" The Beta asked. He had to be keen so as not to lead the Alpha astray.

"I swear to you with my life. I am sure about what I am saying," Cynthia said in confidence and the two people could barely hide their excitement. This is what they have been meaning to hear for a long time.

"We have to act immediately. Beta Elijah, organise our best men in the battlefield. Tell them we are going to attack the Midnight pack at dawn!" Alpha Daniel ordered.

"Consider it done!" The Beta saluted before he walked away and left Cynthia with Alpha Daniel.

"You are such a pretty lady. It will be an honour if you come to bed with me. I know you are tired from the trip. You need someone to calm you down and make you feel good. " Alpha Daniel requested but Cynthia was not into it. She fidgeted her hands uncomfortably.

"Come on, don't tell me that you are a shy girl. By the way, let me give you my promise for the good work that you have done today. If you come to bed with me, I am going to make you my Luna once we conquer Midnight pack. As you know,I don't have a Luna yet and I wouldn't mind having you as my Luna. You have all it takes to make a perfect Luna" Alpha Daniel suggested and Cynthia did not hesitate.

"Daddy, I want to be yours for the night," She said as she went ahead to sit on his lap.

The idea of being a Luna once again was music to her ears and she was going to do all it takes. Alpha Daniel was a known powerful Alpha and this made her want to be associated with him, moreso as his Luna.

"Do you want me here?" Alpha Daniel asked as he ran his tongue over his lower lip.
