Monster Unleashed
Elena POV
Why would she give me such a huge gift in the middle of the year? She definitely knew it was me, and not Leah, right?
It wasn't my birthday and even when it was her time, I did nothing. The haste at which she handed it makes me think otherwise. Perhaps she was running again.
I stare at her worried face and disheveled self with no pity. I couldn't understand what the Alpha sees in her. To a point, I can say she’s pretty but she’s not that thrust.
Would she be able to handle his thrusts? How good is he in bed?
There was nothing special about Marsai. I feel surprised to learn of their wedding until date.
What was so special about someone that couldn't and wouldn't love you back no matter how hard you tried? I bet he even cooked for her every morning. I would literally do anything to have his attention such as this.
But all of all, Marsai didn't respond to it.
She was insensitive to his care which didn't make sense to me and it made me resent her innocent face more.
Or is he attracted to naive women? Should I try to run away too?
I desire a man as the Alpha, I want him more than any man. His brute strength, his finality and brutality all knitted into a coat of strong manhood.
He was the Alpha for a reason. Together, we would have made this pack even more feared, our names would travel far lands to cause awakening unrest in the ears of everyone who listens.
But a man like him chose to be wrapped around the fingers of the daughter of the Alpha he overthrew.
Fate truly is cruel sometimes.
I dumped the parcel on the ground and it unwrapped weakly. Simple clothes, a mirror and other items fall out of it and I smile, shaking head side to side.
So she did try to run away again…
“How glad will the Alpha be to hear this piece of news?”
Fenrir POV
Where the hell is Marsai?
Could she have run away again?
That wild speculation had been eating my mind up from the moment I moved into her room.
In blind rage, I got a hold of the left-opened chest drawer which still had some of her clothes, and flung it to the wall.
I gritted my teeth, watching the hardwood shatter into pieces. It wasn't enough.
I growled out loud, frustration crawling through my mind like mad ticks.
When I heard the scurrying steps shuffling around behind the door, my rage increased,
These guards and maids. How could they let her out of their sight? The anger in my blood boiled at the reality that she must have left me again.
‘But you allowed her free movement’ a tiny voice in my head reminded me, making me feel like I had shot myself in the leg with that decision. I might have allowed her to move freely but not alone.
I gave them one simple rule; do not let her out of your sight.
I clenched my hands to my side, my ears listening to the guards' upcoming footsteps. I needed to ask them exactly where Marsai was because I still refused to believe that she had really run away.
How could she? How could she try to leave me again after that night?
I growled again, my eyes repeatedly changing colors in fury but when her lingering smell invaded my nostrils, it managed to lessen my rage.
I try it again, smelling the tips of my fingers like a rabid dog, sniffing every inch for her unique rose scent.
Nothing.
Another growl erupted from the depths of my chest and I stormed down the stairs to the main passageway.
They weren't dead yet but I'm sure they could smell death. I was aware of the monstrous aura that engulfs me anytime my unreasonable blood rage takes over my being.
It didn't help that their sickening fear tingled and increased my fury, making me want to slaughter them all.
Right now, I only want to smell two things;
The rose fragrance of my angel and the blood of everyone else who had seen her, and let her run.
Upon my appearance, I watched them reluctantly draw out their weapons for defense. A smile rose to my lips at their naivety as it was too late.
My vision grew red spots and my skin felt like it had a layer of hot liquid.
"Where is she?!" I snarled at them but they could only murmur with pleading eyes.
‘It's different now. I can’t just kill them. I am now their Alpha.’
I repeated to myself to control my madness even though my vision was changing to red and my skin felt like it had a layer of hot liquid.
"You mean I put five guards at one passageway and no one, NO ONE!!! None of you could tell me where she is?!" My voice soars to a level only death could save me from.
"You are all dead." I bellowed with finality.
I leap and jump at the first man in front of me, breaking his limbs before I fling him to the brick wall. I didn't even bother to look back at him after his satisfying wail filled the room.
"You! Where is my Luna?” I bark at another guard. He was shaking visibly but he didn't reply to me. Making me more angry.
Do they even see me as their Alpha?
I snarled at him and fling him out of the house to the bush, not caring if it was filled with thorns.
His cries of agony from outside made me chuckle in pure glee before I turned to the three remaining guards. They are all heavily built, lifting them and smashing them together would be a stress to anyone but not me.
I slammed them multiple times until their bones crushed and their cries could be heard by anyone around Alpha quarters.
"You!!" I growl menacingly, strolling towards the last guard, venom spewing from my voice.
"WHERE. IS. MY. LUNA?"
"Alpha, I swear we have no... idea she never came through our post. if if-” I gripped his neck before he could continue spurting nonsense
Slowly and menacingly, I raise him off his feet and to my eye level.
"Where is Marsai?" I repeated, tightening my hold on his neck as I glared into his eyes.
An evil smile crept up my lips when I watched fear dance in them until tears started dropping from his eyes.
I could feel his blood flow under my hand and his heart dropping in beats.
"Where is my angel?" I asked, my bloodshot eyes shooting at his resigned ones. I knew he had slowly started accepting his pathetic fate which included an ultimate death because his eyes just rolled back into his head.
From my peripheral vision, I spot a shadow with the silhouette of a woman and I immediately let go of the bastard. His body creating a thud sound on the hard concrete was the least of my concerns. I sniffed to catch Marsai’s special rose scent but I couldn't pick it up.
I felt more irritated instantly. "Show yourself." I snarled in order to the shadow.
I rub my nose harshly desperately trying to pick up my mate’s smell but it never came.
Instead, Leah, Rudolph's sister's friend, came out of the door carefully.
Her face turned into horror the instant she saw the bloodbath around me.
"Alpha.." she let out in a shaky voice, her eyes reasoning fear as if I had killed all the guards whereas, they were just badly wounded.
She couldn't believe her eyes and I was going to prove it to her until someone brought Marsai to me.
"Where is she?!" I asked, cutting off whatever she was going to say.
The Aegenwulf siblings, except for Elena, always think Marsai will leave me to the ruins of my madness one day, but I was sure her heart would open up to me.. that we were going to be together.
Her standing before me now confirms that I was wrong…I was delusional.
"WHERE IS MY MATE!" I growl in her face, hot saliva slipping past my lips to her face.
She staggered backward, gaping at me in fear.
"Alpha, please...I don't know. I have no idea. I came looking for her… but she wasn't in.. so I came to the Alpha quarters-"
"Shut up!" She shivered.
Tripping over her wobbling steps and falling to the ground with a yelp.
"You liar! You all are keeping her from me, uh? So you can boast that your speculations come to pass, uh? Let me tell you, I will kill you, kill every single werewolf in this pack until Marsai crawls back from where you all hide her.”
"Alpha! I'm not- ''
I lifted her off the ground as she let out a loud shriek.
“No one can take Marsai from me, Leah. Not you, your brother, or any of those old baggies who called themselves the Pack Elders!” I growled in her face but her eyes were already closing, resigning to her fate.
I was about to snap her neck when…
The rose scent I have been hungering for drifted strongly into my nose making me almost drop her.
"Marsai.."
