I will never marry you, monster
Fenrir’s POV
Finally, in my room, I leaned lazily on the door, thinking about what just happened. No one will oppose me now, I've shown them what will happen if they should even try. I stretched looking around my new vast room, a beautiful space that belonged to me. I tried to think if I've ever enjoyed this kind of luxury before as my eyes swept across the room, but I couldn't remember a thing.
There was a huge king-size bed in the middle of it, ombre draperies curtains hung from the middle of the ceiling to fall over the four risen posts of the bed, tied with ribbons that had golden trimmings on it.
The room was decorated with a huge shield placed on the wall that carried the Alpha crest. There was a whole room filled with clothes, furniture of gold, and mahogany wood. I walked over to the huge window by the bed, it's still made with fragrance rosewood. I liked the smell and took another sniff. Hmm, the smell of the rose is strong.
Rosewood does not smell this strong. I looked around the window and in the corner of it, covered partially by the curtains, was a porcelain vase that had four stems of roses in it….wild roses. No wonder.
Picking a stem from the vase, I sniffed it with subtle relish. The smell reminded me of the only person that had a similar scent—Marsai.
I miss her. I really miss her. If I'm to share this enormous space, it was to be with her. I honestly wanted her back, perhaps she had calmed by now. Dropping the stem on a nearby table, I went into my dressing room to change, I wore the same blue suit from earlier.
Walking to the door at the entrance of my chambers, I beckoned the guards I had stationed there.
"Bring me, Marsai." I felt this unexplainable urge to see her.
"Milord, she's here," a voice came from behind the door and I quickly went to get it. There she stood, finally! right outside. Her face cast so low I couldn't look into those tempting eyes. I stepped aside to usher her in, and she came inside, though reluctantly because I could still see the resistance in her.
"Marsai" I called when she stood in front of me.
"Milord" she answered in her silky voice but her face was still downcast.
"Raise your head, Marsai," I said to her, taking a step forward but not too much.
She raised her head and soon, I was looking into those clear Hazel eyes again, eyes that darkened once they met me.
"What is it?" Why was she staring at me like that? Perhaps she was shocked that I looked this good—I'd like to think that.
"You're wearing my father's suit" her voice came out low and my brows furrowed lightly. I was wearing her father's suit. It doesn't matter, it belongs to the Alpha and I'm the Alpha now, so it belonged to me.
"I called you here for a reason," I began, ignoring the look of shock and annoyance on her face over the fact that I was in her father's suit. "You disobeyed me by running away, Marsai and as your Alpha, I had the right to punish you, which I did."
I saw her open her mouth to say something then close it immediately.
"Now," I continued, with a step forward. "Since I'm merciful and have chosen to forgive your little…disobedience, I will give you the chance to apologize for your mistake and all will be forgotten."
She didn't say anything for a few seconds. Perhaps she was looking for the best way to apologize. An apology I could not wait to hear.
"You're funny, you know that? Didn't you?" she said suddenly. Wait, what?
"Pardon?" My brows furrowed deeper.
"You expect me to apologize to you?" She stared at me up and down, "you're not only funny, but hilarious" she rolled her eyes at me.
Anger started building up inside me, but I tried hard to suppress it. I took a step further and stared at her, "I'm being very merciful, Marsai—"
"Oh, yeah?" She interrupted, taking a step forward, her stance challenging. My eyes looking at her Hazel ones, she said, "Why don't you take that mercy and shove it up your—"
I grabbed her chin before she could finish her words, the anger shaking my entire body, "Don't provoke me, Marsai" she really shouldn't. For her own sake, because I was trying so hard to control myself.
"Or what?"
“You're not listening, Marsai. Don't push it! "
“Or what, Fenrir? You'll kill me too?" She asked in a challenging voice. Wow, dropping titles, are we?
I managed a warning smile, "I might,” I gave a grave dangerous smile, even though I knew I would never be able to.
"Go ahead then," she pressed, "Isn't that all you do, anyway?"
I held the burning anger, but my grip was loosening fast and she wouldn't stop talking. Stop provoking me.
"I'm your Alpha, you should talk to me with respect whether you will be my wife or not."
She let out a short mocking laughter. A type of laughter that irked me.
"You can never be my Alpha," she said, "you are just a murderer, a monster. I should have never pulled you out of that snow, I should have let you die!"
"Marsai!" She was testing me, testing the anger that is going to explode if she doesn't…shut up.
"Don't you dare call my name with that foul mouth of yours.."
"I'm warning you!"
"And I'm warning you. Stay away from me! I will never marry you—"
"I've decided that and it stands! You cannot say otherwise!" I threatened. "Don't provoke me, you'll make me do something drastic."
"Oh, really?" The sarcasm was evident in her voice, "More drastic than what you've already done? How much more trouble can you cause, you insane monster?!"
Something snapped. Sounded like the thin thread that had been holding my patience. I turned around, to my sharp left and punched whatever it was my fist found first, not her, never her..
Turns out, my fist found a painting and my fist pierced through the glass, it's chard sticking deep into my fingers. I heard her gasp and I retrieved my hand, I don't give a fuck about if she got scared by that or not. Or if I got hurt. I was too angry to care.
"You want to know how much more trouble I can cause?" I smirked, looking at her shocked face, "I'll show you,” I stormed out.
