A night out

Marsai

"How else do you explain landing the carriage for a day out?" I squint my eyes at her.

"Woah...The Alpha's paranoia is slowly rubbing off on you, I see.." She shakes her head in disappointment staring out the window.

"I'm not paranoid. Just curious." I decided to correct her choice of words.

"Love, you are. Or at least you are getting there. Because if you weren't, you would remember that you are The Luna. I mean you second rule this entire park and you are worried that he's putting me up to get you back to him?" Leah cleared up the air and my heart flustered.

She was right, I was getting paranoid.

"I'm sorry...that's not what I meant." I apologized realizing how angst I came off.

"It's okay. Besides, if he was trying to get to you through anyone, It would be Elena. If he was going to use me, this carriage would be heading towards the Alpha quarters right now and you would be tied up." Leah chuckled, nudging me by the shoulder.

"Hey. Forget Fenrir for today, it's you and I now, just like old times." She smiled at me and I returned it with a genuine one.

"So where are we going first?" I changed the topic.

"Firstly, we will go to the seamstress for some fitting. Then, the confectionery shop, for some good buns and tea." She literally salivates on the spot.

"Then we would visit the Omegle jewelry ground. I heard they have got the best pearls in the town. Then last and best on the list, we would be seeing the Wild Rose Bloom play." She announced with infectious excitement that slowly slipped into my skin.

"Hold on, hold on...I never agreed to see that 4hrs play. It is 4 bloody hours! Leah!” I exclaimed. I could run away to another pack in less than four hours.

"I promise you, it will be good. I have seen a play by these actors, they are really unbelievable, trust me!" Leah cried with sparks in her eyes.

"Leah, I trust you. I just don't trust a total stranger to entertain me for four hours, I might die of boredom. Alpha Fenrir would definitely have your head this time." I giggled at her expression the moment I said my last words.

She placed her right hand against her chest like she was pledging to the Alpha. "Then I will die an honorable death as a lover of theatre," She said with all seriousness.

"You are crazy."

We arrived at the seamstress shop first. It was only then that I recognized the shop. We were here some weeks back with Elena and Rudolph. The owner, Mrs. Penelope Wolftore, a short round woman with a cheeky personality had taken interest in me saying my curves and skin tone did inspire her.

Turns out, she had tried to reach out to the Alpha’s house but she never got a response back.

"Hence the pile of envelopes we saw earlier." Leah concluded.

She fitted me into a velvet blue dress with purple and streaks of silver extension. It was the first time I wore a three step dress. The next was an off shoulder pure icy blue dress with aqua green blends at the sleeves. Due to how heavy the dresses were, she decided to send them to me while we continued our trip through town.

Leah was right, it wasn't just a huge theater, it was full to the crevices of the hall and filled with most of the pack’s high class members. The quantity of cologne I perceived coming from them was enough to ruin my sense of smell.

The story was heartbreaking, I cried at each overwhelming scene. The more the scenes and acts progressed, the apparent sense it was starting to make as to why Leah so desperately wanted me to watch it.

Wild Roses Bloom was about a young prince named Philips played by a handsome young man who fell in love with a maiden of darker skin, Gwen. It was forbidden but it was love. Every form of love he tried to show from flowers, to poetry and walks by the lake was sabotaged by his parents.

Halfway through, I was sure I was ready to be a murderer because the king and queen needed to be relieved of their evils by death. It was all an act according to Leah. I knew it was, I didn't need to be told, I just couldn't contain my intense reaction.

"You are right...they are unbelievable." I finally admitted to Leah, who was right beside me.

Her eyes were shining as she watched the Prince solo through the guards to free Gwen from captivity.

"I told you.." She mutters mindlessly.

"You are drooling by the way." I tease her.

She snaps her mouth close after frowning at me. "You broke the magic spell." Leah snapped before getting fascinated by the characters again.

The story wrapped up with him leaving the castle and abandoning his throne for he learned he would never love her right if they lived by the wish of his parents.

With tears, I stood to my feet applauding as loud as I could, after which Leah teased me for it all the way back. It was worth it though, I definitely would have loved to come here with someone special.

Everyone else had their hands linked to a special someone as we all exited the building to our various carriages. Leah was definitely special but in a platonic sense. I want someone different.

Maybe Fenrir?

I pushed the thoughts down and basked in the monologue rush the play had put Leah in.

Before we parted ways, she stopped me and gave me a hug before letting me go.

"I hope you understand now why I badly wanted you to watch it. It is similar to your story only-"

"Only curse is Philip's parents...Why do you think I was crying so hard?" I laughed at myself.

With that, we parted ways. She offered me a guard for escort but I kindly declined. It was dark and cold, but I had thoughts running through my head.

A walk alone would really help clear them so I embarked on my journey to the Alpha quarters. My mind wanders back to Fenrir again.

I wonder what he is doing now...
