Chapter 17 Berserk Invaders
His eyes were scarlet, there was still residual blood in the corners of his mouth, and the whole house was filled with the smell of blood.
"Jenny, you stay outside with Ike."
Klopp said to me that there was another room in the house and the door was closed.
Phil gave me a look, got up and walked into the room.
It didn't take long for Klopp to come out with him again.
"Ike, go get the plasma and resuscitator."
Klopp said to Ike with a grimace.
Phil stood next to him like a child who had done something wrong, with his head down, not daring to look at Klopp.
Ike soon returned with his things and walked into the room with Klopp again.
I stood in the room, leaning as far as I could against the wall behind me so I could get away from Phil.
As long as Phil is in front of me, time seems to pass extra slow and my legs are starting to shake a little.
When Klopp walked out of the room, I could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Phil, I've told you many times, don't draw blood too often, she'll die! She's not even twenty years old by now!"
Klopp reprimanded Phil.
"Brother, I just want to get rid of that nasty smell on her as soon as possible."
Phil explained in a low voice.
"Phil, I'm warning you one last time, if you keep sucking blood this often, I'll take your pet back, and at that time, you'll have to pay for it yourself to buy it again."
Klopp said to Phil.
Hearing Klopp's words, Phil was visibly scared.
He's used to living off Klopp and what he has now.
If Klopp repossessed his pet, he wouldn't be able to get that much money to re-buy it.
Ike once whispered to me that Klopp would only allow Phil and his pets to live on the estate, but would not give him a single gold coin.
Phil's mother died not long after his birth due to illness, and his father was an unproductive vagrant.
Klopp met Phil when he was being beaten by some low-level vampires. Klopp recognized the necklace around his neck and rescued Phil and took him in.
Eryn was given to Phil as a gift, a pet that he handpicked and Klopp paid two hundred gold coins for.
"Yes, brother, I will remember your words."
Phil replied respectfully.
"You are not allowed to go near Eryn again for half a month, and this is your punishment."
Klopp finished and headed out, and as he passed me, he took my hand.
Eryn, on the other hand, was sent by Ike to look after.
This also means that Phil will not be able to suck Eryn's blood for the next half month, which is a good thing for Eryn.
"Sir, you're cool today."
I followed Klopp and couldn't help but compliment him.
"But I don't think it's cool enough."
Klopp suddenly turned around and approached, I was too late to dodge and almost fell to the ground.
But the next thing I realized was that Klopp's hands were, steadily, wrapped around my waist.
His face was right in front of my eyes, with warm breath.
Touching Klopp's warm lips once more, my mind only went blank.
Moonlight fell on us, drawing long shadows on the ground.
Behind them was a sea of flowers scented with roses.
Behind Klopp, a huge pair of bat wings unfolded, slowly enveloping me and him.
But I'm not afraid.
Suddenly, Klopp took my hand and the bracelet on my wrist began to glow.
Unlike before, the blue stones began to turn red, just like the sea of roses.
"Mr...."
I looked up at him and Klopp smiled, lowering his head to kiss my lips again.
Suddenly, one of Klopp's wings retracted and he looked a little sad, but he said nothing and turned away.
I looked at his back and felt an indescribable sense of loss and sadness.
Is it because I'm human?
Or is it because I'm just his pet?
I stood in the moonlight and looked up at the starry sky.
This should be the last night with stars before winter comes.
A breeze blew by and I felt a little cold.
But in addition to the scent of flowers in the air, there is...
The smell of blood!
I jerked my head back and a couple of low-level vampires were standing on the streetlight in front of me.
The streetlights kept flickering and the smell of blood was getting heavier.
Their bloodshot eyes stared at me as they slowly opened their huge wings.
"This is Count Klopp's estate, what do you want by breaking in here?"
I kept backing up, but they were still approaching me.
"Humans..."
They are like the walking dead, with only the desire to suck blood.
"Help!"
At this point, I could only desperately ask for help. Several vampires flew up, their huge wings blocking the moonlight, and in front of me was darkness.
"Oh my God, Jenny!"
Anna's screams came, but I couldn't see her.
I'm finished!
In the moment I closed my eyes, I heard a low voice from above my head, tinged with anger.
It was Klopp, mouthing a blood language I could barely understand.
He stopped in mid-air, spread his wings, his eyes turned scarlet, wearing a pair of long pants, the upper half of his shirt was soaked with water, you can clearly see the lines of his body, and firm abs.
The vampire that lunged at me was bound by a red translucent rope the moment Klopp raised his arm.
The vampire who fell to the ground kept struggling and went crazy trying to draw blood.
Klopp landed beside me, his eyes fixed on the few vampires lying on the ground.
"Ike, take them to the lab."
It was the sound of me calling for help that drew Ike and the others to me, Klopp instructed to Ike.
Ike leads the soldiers and prepares to take several vampires away.
But they began to jerk violently almost simultaneously, and their features were distorted by the convulsions.
Their skin began to crack, and blood flowed out of the cracks and then slowly along the ground.
"Human... blood..."
They seemed to feel no pain, struggling on the ground, but their eyes were fixed on me, eager to suck my blood dry immediately.
Klopp frowned at the vampires, perhaps he hadn't seen anything like it either.
As the ruler of the city, low-level vampires would not dare to break into his estate, but now, they have broken in and even tried to snatch Klopp's human pet.
This is definitely the first time, and of course, their last.
I hid behind Klopp, and what was happening in front of me not only made me feel horrible, but also made me feel like throwing up.
I avoided it as much as I could, I had never seen anything like it.
"What? How is this possible? What the hell is going on?"
Ike seems to have seen something unimaginable.
Klopp didn't say anything, but I could still see the shock and fear of those around me.
I quietly glanced in the direction of the vampires and couldn't help but freeze.
"You go to your room first, I'll take care of things here."
Klopp said to me.
