Chapter 71 - King Quintas

I didn't get very far before I had no more strength left and fell to the ground with Klopp.
I fell to the ground and my breathing became labored.
In the direction of Sarnus, the flames were still burning, and I looked at Klopp, who hadn't woken up yet, and tears rolled down my cheeks.
He didn't deserve to end up like this, but I couldn't change that fact.
"Jenny ......"
Klopp woke up and whispered to me.
I stopped crying and Klopp seemed to sense something and looked at the flames burning on the other side of the forest.
He stood up and looked in the direction of the flames.
"That's my father ...... right?"
Klopp choked his voice, hands clenched in fists, anger burning in his eyes.
"He told me to go with you to the Northern Bloods, to find King Quintas, Klopp, you can't turn back now, Peter will be coming after us soon, go."
I held Klopp's hand tightly, trying to get him to leave.
Klopp, however, snapped to his knees in the direction of Sarnus and kowtowed to him from afar.
His body was trembling and he was whimpering.
"One day, I will make myself strong enough to come back here, and I will be the new King of the Bloods, as you wish!"
Klopp said firmly.
The moment he stood up, the flames in the forest suddenly contracted down, and there was only a faint moonlight in the whole forest.
But the next second, the flames shot straight up into the sky, and the dark red light lit up the night sky, and the whole forest was like hell.
Then there was a violent explosion.
A dark red bat, burning with dark red flames, flew towards the sky.
Klopp opened his wings and wrapped me up with him as the blast of energy came at us.
When the surrounding area was calm again, Klopp picked me up and turned around to fly towards the north.
In order not to be discovered by Peter's people, we had to fly low and weave through the forest, Klopp precisely avoiding every tree and moving forward quickly.
Now he, like me once, had lost the closest family member.
It wasn't until the sun rose in the sky that Klopp landed on the ground.
But we didn't know where Quintas was, or what he looked like.
We could only make our way to the north.
"Klopp, the blood from last night, it should be Peter who moved it."
I said to Klopp while taking a break with him.
"It should be that he added the poison refined by blood bats inside the simulated blood."
Klopp replied calmly, but his eyes were still filled with indelible anger and hatred.
"Peter has gone crazy, in order to get the throne, he can even do such things, and will definitely find a way to kill you."
I looked at Klopp and said.
"I have lost my father, and now all I have to do is to protect you and the child."
Klopp hugged me and whispered in my ear.
"We will definitely come back and avenge Sarnus."
I wrapped my arms around his waist and whispered comforting words.
"You rest here while I go catch some prey and come back, you have to eat something."
Klopp stood up, ready to leave.
"Wait, actually we can go to the restaurant."
I also stood up and took out the card Klopp had given me from the small satchel I had with me.
There were still Klopp's gold coins inside, and there should be a few million left.
"Good, human food is better for eating than random prey caught in the forest."
Klopp said to me, not seeing the slightest bit of happiness on his face.
We were not far from the city and it took less than half an hour on foot.
"Where are your passes?"
The guard at the gate asked, looking at Klopp and me.
"We lost our passes by accident ......"
"Cut the crap! I can't let you in without a pass, so get out!"
The guard interrupted and scolded me.
"Please, we can go get a new one."
I pleaded with him.
"That won't work for you! I won't let you in without a pass."
The guard said indifferently, then roughly pushed me aside.
Nearly falling over, Klopp hurriedly pulled me back.
"You bastards, passes are dead, people are alive!"
A familiar voice came from behind us.
I looked back and it turned out to be Mrs. Olaton.
But she was simply a different person now, wearing a long, brightly colored dress and an exaggeratedly large hat on her head as she twisted and turned her body toward the soldiers.
"Oh, Duchess."
The soldier said after bowing to her.
Klopp and I looked at each other and then at Mrs. Olaton with confusion, how could she be a duchess?
"They are my friends, I am their pass, can we let them in now?"
Mrs. Olaton said condescendingly to the soldier, and then, led us into the city.
"Mrs. Olaton, how did you know we were here?"
Looking at her took me by surprise.
"Have you forgotten? I can divine, so I knew you would run into a little trouble here, so I came over to give a hand."
Mrs. Olaton said to me, holding out two passes and handing them to me.
"Thank you, with this, it will also be much easier for us to enter the next city, but just now they called you Duchess? What's this about?"
I asked, puzzled.
"Because their duchess and I look very close to each other, so I can fool the others by putting on a little bit of clothing similar to hers."
Mrs. Olaton took a picture out of her bag and handed it to me.
I took a look at the person on it, and except for looking a little younger than Mrs. Olaton, the looks were indeed very similar.
"Jenny, another thing I have to tell you, since you left, Anna and Ike also had a crisis, they fled the manor and went to me, and now, they are both in my house."
Mrs. Olaton said to us.
"It must be Taz and Robert, they won't leave us alone, so even Anna and Ike will suffer, but we can't go back now, we have to go north."
I said to her.
"The north? I don't know why you're going there, but I will say that you'd better get a car because it's too far, and it's not a good idea to go north on two legs alone."
Mrs. Olaton reminded us.
"Please protect Anna and Ike, we will come back for them and thank you very much for helping us today."
I said to Mrs. Olaton.
"Well, I have something else to tell you, your next path will be full of unknown dangers, I hope you are ready, after you leave this city, it will be the beginning of your suffering."
Mrs. Olaton said and looked at Klopp and frowned a little.
Afterwards, we dined in the restaurant, and Mrs. Olaton left in a hurry.
And Klopp and I were out on the street, seeing the real Duchess.
Sitting in a limousine, watching the city go by.
I had used some of my gold coins to buy a car and some of my food. There must be another reason why Sarnus told us to go to the Northern Bloods.
Like the strange string of symbols he left on my arm.
A day later, we saw a stone tablet next to the highway that said Banro City.
The Forbidden love with my Vampire Master
