Chapter 53 - The Change of Castle City
"Jenny, I may leave the manor in two days, and the war between humans and bloods ...... is ahead of schedule."
Klopp stood behind me and said to me.
"What? You're taking other vampires to fight humans? But your body hasn't recovered yet, and that's bad for you."
I turned to look at him and I was worried.
Klopp's combat power is also much weakened when he is physically weak, and even a few low-level vampires surrounding him would be a threat. What's more, those humans have weapons to fight vampires.
"Yes, Kamose will be there with me, including Duke Taz and Mireya."
Klopp said to me.
"So you'll take me with you?"
I asked, looking at him.
"I'm sorry Jenny, for your safety I can't take you with me, stay at the estate, you're the safest."
I was sad to hear his words, Klopp said.
I know that I, as a human, can't be of any help to him in this war, and that there is a risk that he will be distracted from dealing with it at full capacity, but I am just as worried about him.
"When are you leaving?"
I didn't want him to leave, but I couldn't stop it.
"Tomorrow evening, I will return safely, and if there is a change of heart, you will mobilize the blood army in the capacity of the princess, and they will protect you to withdraw to the palace."
Klopp replied, reaching out and hugging me.
"Good."
I nod my head.
"So ...... can we sleep together tonight?"
Klopp asked with a smile.
"So that's why you talked to me so much?"
I had a feeling of being cheated.
"No, what I said is true!"
Klopp hurried to explain.
So, after I agreed, Klopp carried me from my room back to his.
"Jenny, when did you start liking me?"
Klopp asked curiously as he lay next to me.
"It was probably when you saved my life that I thought you were special and, of course, good-looking, the best-looking vampire I've ever seen."
I replied with a smile.
"Just because I'm good looking?"
Klopp can't say whether he likes or dislikes this answer.
"And then it was because you were gentle with me, caring and all that."
I said to him.
"Well, when you say that, I also feel as if I am very good, so do you know when I like you?"
Klopp laughed.
"I don't know."
It's true that I don't know when he started liking me, and he never told me so.
"Actually, I can't say the exact time, but you have always been in my heart, even in the crowd, my eyes can only see you."
Klopp said, with a gentle smile on his face.
All night we reminisced about the good old days until it was almost dawn, when I got some sleep at Klopp's urging.
By the time he woke up, Klopp was ready to leave.
I stood at the upstairs window and watched him get in his car and go away, afraid I would not be able to control my emotions to leave him behind.
Ike and Anna found me after he left.
"The Bloods of Castle City and the human army clashed, and both sides engaged in battle, and both the Bloods and humans suffered losses, with the humans suffering more casualties, which is why they used more troops to deal with the Bloods of Castle City."
Ike said to me.
"And the reason?"
I looked at Ike and asked.
"It's not clear yet, after sir received the news, the king let him lead some of the bloods to Castle City, and the human side, too, is reinforcing to Castle City."
Ike said and sighed.
This also means that the war will not end so soon.
"Can we do something about it?"
I asked, looking at Ike and Anna.
"We can't help Sir, we can only pray that he will return safely. Other than that, you have to be careful of Duke Taz's people, he will probably take advantage of Sir's departure and take revenge on you."
Ike reminded me.
Here, only Duke Taz and Mireya, and Phil treat us as enemies, and they don't really hate Klopp, because they hate me.
Because I'm a human being.
"I'll be careful."
I replied.
Castle City is several hundred kilometers from the estate, with a forest in between, and between it and Castle City, a fast river.
After Castle City, there is a plain.
The human army attacked Castle City, and Klopp and the Bloods he led would also face more crises if they tried to evacuate Castle City should any situation arise.
"Every city has a human messaging station to contact other cities, and there must be one here too. If we know what's really going on in Castle City, maybe we can help them too without getting involved in the battle."
I said to Ike, but in this case, only I can go alone.
In this estate, I am the only human being.
"Now, you will accompany me on a trip to the slave market."
I said to both of them that I needed to have another identity before I could get back in touch with humans.
Before I left, I changed my clothes and put on a hat that was wide enough to cover my face.
Slave Market.
The sound of slave traders could be heard from a distance and the faint smell of blood in the air.
I couldn't help but think of every day I had spent here, and the despair came over me once again.
My hands grabbed the hem of my skirt.
The limo stopped and I forced myself to stay calm and collected.
"Jenny, are you okay?"
Anna asked, sitting next to me.
"I'm fine, just a little nervous. Next, I need you to negotiate a trade price with the trafficker, and I'll choose who I want to buy from."
I calmed down and said to Anna.
"Okay, it's all yours."
Having said that, Anna got out of the car.
When I got out of the car, I deliberately lowered the brim of my hat and put on makeup on my face, which was completely different from the old pet look.
Although Wils is no longer visible in the slave market, the painful memories it left me with can never be erased.
It was still the same steel cages with the humans tied up inside, looking at Anna and me in despair.
The look in their eyes told me that they wanted to be taken away, but not to another hell.
"You're the boss? We need slaves who know their manners."
Anna said to one of the slave traders as I had explained before.
"Of course there are, you have come to the right place, I have a few here with a pretty good origin, do you want male or female?"
The trafficker asked with a smile on his face.
"All of them, but they have to go through our inspection, if they don't pass, we won't take them, that's the rule."
Anna is obviously the first time to come to this kind of place, but she is more daring than I thought, and is not affected by everything here at all.
"Sure."
The traffickers moved roughly and dragged several people out of the metal cage, and they fell down in a mess in front of me, covered with wounds still carrying blood.
And Anna is testing them on the most basic of manners.
Five people, three girls and two guys passed.
I nodded to Anna, who began to bargain with the seller.
In the end, we got five of them for two hundred gold coins a person.
