Chapter 68: The Worse is Him
"Jenny, get out of here!"
Klopp shouted to me.
I held back the grief in my heart and turned around to run towards the border line, as soon as we crossed it, Sarnus would come to rescue us.
But I didn't get very far when there was a loud explosion behind me and I was lifted off the ground by that powerful force and then smashed to the ground.
I struggled to roll over and looked in Klopp's direction, who was still desperately trying to fend off Robert and buy me time.
"Klopp ......"
The pain in my heart almost suffocated me, and the agony of watching his life pass before my eyes drove me to the brink of madness.
Tears blurred my vision as I struggled to stand up, and it took several attempts before I staggered to my feet.
But my body, every part of it, was communicating pain to me.
I walked toward Klopp.
Even in the face of death, at least we were still together.
The warmth coming from my belly spread throughout my body, and the pain was fading fast.
The crystal necklace around my neck, once again, glowed light blue, illuminating everything around me.
"What is this?"
Robert raised his hand to block the dazzling bright light and began to back away.
Inside his body, the powerful force appeared once again and was stronger than the last time.
"Didn't you want to capture me? But now it looks like you don't have a chance!"
I took one step closer towards Robert, who couldn't open his eyes at all.
Klopp stood beside me and looked at me in shock, even forgetting about his own injuries.
"You're just a human, how can you have such powerful energy? What the hell did you do?"
Robert questioned me reluctantly.
"Then you really should experience what it's like to be beaten up by a human!"
With that, I rushed toward him, swung my fist at his head, and hit it hard.
Robert blocked his eyes, could not see my movements, and was instantly knocked to the ground.
But he was more durable than I thought, a punch down, he quickly reacted again, instantly retreat to the side.
Robert was also completely enraged and threw out a huge black net that cut off the bright light of the necklace without affecting his ability to see my movements clearly.
"So it was the awakening of the Blood's talent that gave you this ability, but you're not strong enough to threaten me!"
Robert said with a cold smile.
"If she's not enough, what do you think will happen if you add me to the mix?"
Sarnus' voice came out.
In the next second, he appeared in the middle of a group of vampire warriors, with a cold smile on his face.
But where he passed, those vampire warriors seemed to be fixed in place, unable to move at all.
The moment Sarnus walked past them, the vampire warriors turned into ashes.
Even Robert's big net disappeared.
"Sarnus?"
Robert's eyes widened in horror, but he couldn't move his body at all, his legs felt like they were rooted in the ground, no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't move a single inch.
"You scum, you dare to chase and kill my son, I'll take this skull of yours, take it back and polish it, and make it into a wine glass should be good."
Sarnus said, a fire-red light wrapped around Robert, pushing him slowly into mid-air.
"Lord Sarnus, I have no intention of hurting your son, I just want to catch that human, please let me go!"
Robert's voice was hoarse from pain as he said to Sarnus.
"That's not a coincidence, that human, is also my son's, go back and tell Winpas that if he ever hits on my son again, I'll pull his head off and kick it like a soccer."
Sarnus flung Robert out of the way.
I don't know how much force he used, but Robert quickly disappeared from our sight.
Sarnus then came toward us.
Klopp fell to the ground violently, and the Rosy Holy Sword in his hand merged into his body and disappeared.
"Klopp! Wake up!"
I rushed to him and picked him up, but couldn't rouse him.
"Let's get out of here first."
Sarnus pulled Klopp up, carried him on his shoulders, and led me in the direction of the royal palace.
Luckily, the borderline wasn't too far from the palace, and we were soon there.
Sarnus took Klopp into the room, and I stayed outside to wait.
There was not a sound in the room, it was terribly quiet.
That powerful force in my body also disappeared when Sarnus appeared.
Based on what had just happened, I thought the energy in my body might be related to the crystal necklace Sarnus had given me.
It was most likely meant to protect me.
If it had appeared earlier, Klopp wouldn't have been hurt so badly.
Sarnus soon came out of the room, looking calm as if nothing had happened.
"He's all right now, go check on him."
Sarnus said to me.
"Thanks."
I said to Sarnus and hurried into the room.
In the room, Klopp had awakened and was lying on the bed, topless.
"Are you okay?"
I asked, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking at him.
"Not bad."
Klopp replied with a smile.
"You're hurt pretty bad."
I said as I stared at him, that too I had seen with my own eyes.
"That little wound is not hard to beat my father, plus Robert is also a blood, even if he did damage to me, I can still recover quickly, after all, the blood's talent is to be able to heal wounds on their own."
Klopp smiled gently, not at all like a person who had just been injured.
"If Sarnus hadn't saved us in time, I'm afraid we would have died."
I said with a sigh.
"But I think the worse off would have been Robert."
Klopp laughed heartily.
"Him?"
I stated not understanding, Sarnus hadn't really hurt him at all.
"My father, as a blood king, not only has an extremely strong recovery ability himself, he can also limit the recovery of other bloods, and although it may seem to you that he just tied Robert up, the truth is that Robert has been more seriously injured than me."
Klopp said to me seriously.
"And will he survive?"
I asked again, if he had died at the hands of Sarnus.
He was also the Duke whom Winpas valued the most, and Winpas would probably be enraged by this.
And then launch an attack on Sarnus' territory.
"He won't die, it's just that his recovery process will be slow, and in the meantime, if someone tries to make his wounds recover faster, it will instead make his injuries worse."
Klopp explained to me.
It sounded like it was painful.
"Are we going to stay here all the time now?"
I asked, changing the subject.
Anna and Ike were still at the manor, and Kamose didn't know how he was doing.
Robert had said that Winpas would punish him, and Anna and Ike might be implicated in retaliation because of us.
And there was Duke Taz, who also hated me because of Mireya's injury.
"Anna and Ike, they are not from our community, and if we take them without permission, Winpas will use this as an excuse to attack our territory."
Klopp said, shaking his head.
"Taz will not spare Anna and the others."
I was worried about Anna and Ike. Although Anna was also a Blood, she was not strong enough to even defend herself.
