Chapter 33 Exchange

Despite my reluctance, Klopp went to Phil's estate with Ike.
I sat in my room and read a book to distract myself.
A vibration came from overhead, and I seemed to hear Anna's screams.
When I walked out of the basement, I froze in front of me.
Surprisingly, it was Mireya's people who found the place while they were trying to break the charm drawn by Mrs. Olaton.
"Jenny, so you're really here."
Mireya looked at me from behind a couple of vampires and laughed.
But her smile still makes me feel inexplicably scared.
"What the hell do you want?"
I looked at Mrs. Olaton, who was desperately trying to fend them off, and then at Mireya and asked.
"Klopp is now just a lowly vampire who killed a vampire of higher status than him, and he must stand trial."
Mireya replied indifferently.
I had a hard time convincing myself that once Mireya liked Klopp so much.
"You look like you should be someone with some status within the vampires, but I'm afraid it's not that easy for you to steal someone from me."
Mrs. Olaton said, pulling down a golden cloth from the wall by the door and tossing it toward Mireya.
It was painted with various charms, and Mireya, as if struck by some object, flew backwards and fell heavily to the ground.
"Don't think old people are easy to bully, that's the biggest mistake you'll ever make."
Mrs. Olaton stood in the doorway, like a standing statue.
"Is that so? I don't really think so."
Mireya stood up, and behind her, several vampires with explosives in their hands, approached in the direction of the house.
"Wait, Mireya, before you attack us, you should say clearly, why you must kill us?"
I walked over to Mrs. Olaton and asked Mireya.
And my hand was gently tugging at Mrs. Olaton's dress, hoping she would get out of the way.
"Klopp broke my heart, I've been very disappointed in him and he has to pay for it."
Mireya said with a sneer.
"That's between you and Klopp, you should be talking to him, not killing us, shouldn't you?"
I just want Mireya to leave and not hurt anyone.
"I'm not leaving until I get him, and you, Jenny."
Mireya resumed her previous smile and reached out to point at me.
I frowned at her.
Of course, I know very well that Klopp rejected her, so in her heart, she hates me as well as everyone who is close to Klopp.
"If I leave with you, can you get them out safely?"
I looked up at Mireya and asked.
Inside that pile of explosives, we couldn't escape at all.
Mrs. Olaton is innocent, she was only kind enough to take us in, and, like her, I am human.
"I might consider giving you a chance to capture you first, and Klopp will surely come."
Mireya's smile became human can be cold and scary.
"Mrs. Olaton, thank you for your kindness in taking me in."
I said to her with a smile.
Mrs. Olaton took my hand, and in her palm, something seemed to pass to me.
I put it away carefully, maybe there is a time when I can use it.
I took one step towards Mireya, even though the fear inside me was hissing and gradually expanding.
But I also hope that Mrs. Olaton, who is also human and kind, lives.
I was more than confident that Klopp would get me out of there.
When I walked up to Mireya, she looked me up and down like I was looking at an antique.
"Take her back and I want every inch of her body branded."
Mireya gave me a look and turned away.
The vampire at her side grabbed my shoulder, sharp fingertips piercing through my shoulder into my skin.
I was in so much pain I could barely breathe, but I was just silent.
Mireya took me to a limousine.
I recognized the road, the direction to the villa of the Duke of Taz.
But I can already vaguely sense that Mireya will definitely torture me more viciously than Wells.
Time flowed as if at an accelerated pace, and soon we arrived at the villa of the Duke of Taz.
I was held by the arms of vampires under Mireya and dragged all the way to the dark basement.
Inside, there is only a stove burning in the middle, but even close, you can't feel the heat.
There was an iron pillar near the corner, and Mireya signaled the vampire who grabbed me to tie me to it.
I was tied to the post, and the heavy chains strangled me so much that I could barely breathe.
"Until Klopp shows up, whatever you want to do to torture her, I can't see a bit of blood."
Mireya said indifferently to several vampires.
"Yes, Miss Mireya."
The vampire replied respectfully.
Only then was Mireya satisfied and left the basement.
The vampires, on the other hand, were staring at me intently.
"I think she should be pressed into the pool and soaked."
"No, I think we should break all her bones."
"Have you forgotten that Miss Mireya said that no blood should be seen on her?"
Several vampires seemed to have ignored my presence and came together to discuss.
But until I could no longer resist the tiredness, they still did not come up with a result of the discussion.
But I was afraid to sleep, the fear of the unknown and what was to come, as if I was back to life in that iron cage in Wells.
Several vampires untied me from the pillar, only to tie my hands and feet.
I knew I couldn't escape and didn't want to anger them by trying to get away, which would only put me in more danger.
Soon, two of the vampires carried over a bucket filled with water.
"Press her in!"
One of the vampires beside me sneered.
Before I could react, I was already dragged to the bucket by them.
On touching the water, I smelled the stench coming from the water, as if it had been soaked in rotting flesh.
The cold water instantly flooded my head and I couldn't breathe and could only hear the laughter of a few vampires in my ears.
"What's this? It looks pretty good."
A vampire said suspiciously.
I was pulled from the water, blackened, and I breathed heavily, though the taste of the water made me want to vomit.
The other vampire turned his head to look at the bracelet on my hand, curious and surprised.
"It is said that she was bought by Klopp from a slave trader before, the bracelet does not look cheap, perhaps she stole it, after all, humans love to do such things."
One of the vampires said with contempt for me.
"I didn't steal it, it's mine, always has been."
I looked at them and said.
"But it doesn't belong to you now."
A vampire said, reaching out and trying to take the bracelet off my hand.
"Jenny, do you remember the Blood language I taught you?"
A familiar voice that seems to come from my mind.
