Chapter 62: Burning Fury
Klopp led me, through the group of vampires.
"Stop him."
Klopp said to the vampires.
Dozens of vampires flew in the direction of the Toddlers and fought with the Toddlers.
At the building on the other side of the city, Klopp landed on the roof.
"Jenny, what brings you here? I told you to wait for me at the manor."
Klopp frowned, a little angry at my approach.
"The army will attack the city with artillery tomorrow morning, and it's no longer possible to stay here."
I said to Klopp.
"Where did you get that information?"
Klopp didn't believe all of what I said.
"It was Major Fitch, he's human and the one who sent me here, Klopp, you need to get out of here with me."
I said as I grabbed Klopp's hand.
"Jenny, listen, I will send someone to get you out of here, but I can't leave, Toddlers is a problem, he has to be dealt with."
Klopp said to me.
The Toddlers on the other side came after him, and Klopp's men got in front of him.
The Toddlers were not intimidated, but smiled wickedly.
The vampires rushed together, and the Toddlers reached out and grabbed two of them, opening their mouths and revealing their fangs.
One bite was taken on the neck of one of the vampires, followed by the other.
This is the first time I saw the scene of blood bats biting their own kind, I froze.
Those two vampires, their eyes gradually turned from blood red to black.
That was the characteristic of being infected by advanced blood bats.
It was written in that blood book, but the shock of seeing this scene with my own eyes was something that the book could not give.
Dozens of vampires, in just a few minutes had been mostly infected.
"Retreat!"
Klopp shouted, but the vampires were too late to leave.
The Toddlers let out a low roar, and the infected vampires no longer obeyed Klopp's orders, but submitted to the blood bats.
They surrounded the vampires that were trying to escape and attacked them.
This gave the Toddlers the opportunity to infect all the remaining vampires and finally assimilate them into the Bloodbats.
After assimilation, the vampires had no thoughts and no feelings, just puppets on strings, absolutely obedient to the blood bats that infected them.
"Jenny, go, run down the stairs, there are my men in the building, they will take you away, go."
Klopp said back to me.
I looked at the vampire flying over not far away, even though I wanted to stay with him, there was nothing I could do, I would only be a burden to him.
"Move!"
Klopp shouted.
His body surged with a wild blood-red glow, and the Rosebud holy sword was in his hand, starting to rise with a black mist.
I turned and ran for the stairs, tears flowing unstoppably down my cheeks.
"All fall into the abyss!"
Behind me was Klopp's hissing voice.
I kept running until I saw a group of vampires.
"I see her, let's go!"
One of the vampires shouted to the others.
Several of the vampires that came over, took me by the arm and led me to prepare to leave the building.
Two vampires flew out of the building with me and I glanced in Klopp's direction.
On the roof of the building.
Klopp wielded the Rosebud Sword and instantly decapitated the two vampires.
The Toddlers were not in a hurry to do anything, but were watching the good show from the sidelines.
I was getting farther and farther away from Klopp, and finally could only see a blood-red mass of light.
Not far ahead of me, a group of vampires flew toward me.
Before I could get a good look, they were already in front of me.
It was Mireya and Phil.
"I can't believe I let you get away."
Mireya said with a sneer, stopping in mid-air.
She extended her finger towards me, and the ring on her index finger burst into a blood-colored light, attacking straight towards me.
My eyes widened and I almost forgot to breathe.
She was going to kill me!
But the light didn't hit me, it hit the two vampires around me.
They instantly turned into ashes.
I fell straight down from mid-air, not very high, but a fall like that must have broken at least a few bones.
Before hitting the ground, I curled up as much as I could, no matter what, I didn't want my children to be hurt.
The next second, I clearly heard the sound of my bones breaking, and the pain spread throughout my body.
I hit the ground heavily and rolled out some distance before stopping.
My right arm and leg were twisted, and the pain was so intense that I almost passed out, and my whole body was trembling.
Mireya slowly landed in front of me from the air, smiling smugly.
"This is the human who thinks he's powerful? Look at you, you really look like a disgusting worm."
Mireya did not hide her hatred for me in any way.
I struggled to move away from her by supporting my body with my left arm, but I couldn't move at all.
"I feel the fear inside you, it must be very painful for you right now, let me help you end this with my own hands."
Mireya smiled and walked towards me.
Now I had no chance to escape anymore.
Mireya's ring once again released a blood-red light.
This time, her target was me.
I glared at her angrily.
"Even if I die, I will turn into an evil spirit in hell to seek revenge on you!"
I shouted with all my strength.
The light hit me in the heart, and my heart felt like it was being burned by flames, along with the sharp pain of being pierced by a sharp blade.
As my consciousness gradually began to blur, the crystal necklace around my neck slowly floated up, taking my body with it.
A warm sensation came from my belly and spread towards my whole body.
"What is this?"
Mireya couldn't believe what she was seeing, and her eyes widened.
A faint red glow began to emanate from her small abdomen as well.
Mireya attacked me once more.
But this time, the light mass stopped a second before it hit me.
The light from the small belly and the light blue light from the crystal necklace merged, and the red light rapidly expanded, swallowing the power of Mireya's attack on me directly.
The wounds on my body were also healing at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the broken bones were regrowing.
"How did this happen? What the hell is this?"
Mireya's eyes turned dark red and he yelled in anger.
I could feel a surge of energy filling my body, as well as my anger.
My body gradually descended until I was standing firmly on the ground.
Mireya's shock turned to fear and she attacked me frantically.
Instinctively, I raised my hand, and the light blue light that gushed from my palm bounced all her attacks back.
Not only Mireya, but I myself was taken aback. This power would never have come from myself, but why it suddenly appeared, I wasn't sure.
But the only thing I'm sure of is that from this moment on, I'm not the one who can only take a beating anymore.
Mireya was too late to dodge and was hit by the light ball, flying far away.
Phil, who had been watching Mireya and me from the side, also froze in place.
"Now, do you still want to kill me?"
I looked at Phil and asked coldly.
"Hell."
Phil snapped back to his senses and turned to flee as fast as he could.
My attention was not on Phil, and after ignoring Phil, I walked towards the place where Mireya had fallen.
Mireya got up from the ground, covering her abdomen and frowning at me.
"I'll give you a taste of broken bones, too."
I walked up to her and grabbed Mireya's neck.
"One day, I will kill you with my own hands!"
Mireya said as she glared at me.
