Chapter 89 - The Last Great Battle
Klopp bowed his head and apologized to me.
"No, you don't have to apologize, what I'm trying to say is that it feels simply fantastic, so I can fly like you?"
I asked, looking excitedly at Klopp.
Klopp froze for a moment, then smiled and nodded.
"Oh, my God!"
I lunged at Klopp and reached out to hug him.
Kamose and Quintas, among others, left the room in silence.
"How did you manage to bring me back to life by turning me into a Blood?"
I looked at my hands and asked him about it.
"With a piece of bone from my wing and the ancient reanimation technique of the blood race, I was able to create a body that resembled a soul vessel, with the help of Quintas, who was also the one who pulled your soul out of your body and kept it in Coriselle's consciousness space."
Klopp explained to me.
And my soul was able to be preserved in the child's consciousness space not only because of his awakened talent, but more so because I was given half of my life force before he was born.
But during this time in Coriselle's consciousness space, half of the life force he once gave me has been re-integrated with him.
The new body Klopp built for me has a life equal to his, but a separate life.
It's just that he serves as the source of the body's power, and once he dies, the body will fade away with him.
Such a result, in a way, is also considered the best for me.
The new body, however, was identical to my original appearance. I looked at Klopp and couldn't help but smile.
"Klopp, it's so good to see you again."
I reached out and wrapped my arms around him and kissed him on the lips.
Klopp reached out and wrapped his arms around my waist and pinned me down on the bed.
I slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
Klopp kissed me tenderly, but his breathing gradually became rapid.
As I became completely one with him, a familiar and unfamiliar pain came over me, causing me to unconsciously hug him tighter.
All day long, we didn't leave the room.
When I was human, we weren't able to indulge too much, but now that I have the body of a Blood, neither of us has to think about the consequences.
Perhaps because I had just awakened, my body still had a feeling of powerlessness.
I was lying in Klopp's arms and we could clearly hear each other breathing.
The next morning, Klopp and I walked out of the room just in time to see the child standing in the doorway.
It already looks about the same as a human child of four or five years old, looking up at me.
"Mommy."
He looked at me and smiled.
"He's only two years old, why does he look like a four or five year old?"
I looked to Klopp and asked.
"The growth time for humans is different from bloods, and he is a blood, so of course it doesn't take that long."
Klopp said with a smile.
When we walked into the lobby we realized that Kamose and Quintas were here.
"Peter has been missing since the last great battle, and yesterday I received word that he had appeared in the territory of the Bloodbats."
Quintas said to Klopp after he sat down.
"The Great War?"
I looked at them suspiciously.
What has happened in the last two years? And I don't know anything.
"After Klopp killed that major, Peter saw the opportunity to have the human army attack, and when the great battle broke out, Peter led the blood bats to besiege us from the rear of the battlefield, and it was the humans who lost the most."
Quintas said to me.
And the one who finally stopped the war turned out to be Coriselle.
However, Winpas died at the hands of the Bloodbat Kings, and Kamose became the current King.
The human army announced its withdrawal after losing hundreds of thousands of soldiers, and the battlefield became a situation where Peter and the Bloodbats confronted Kamose and Quintas.
Peter's strength was above Klopp's, plus Klopp lost most of his life force and was wounded by Peter, but Coriselle's appearance seriously wounded Peter.
The only one not wounded on the battlefield was Coriselle.
And that's because of the full protection of Quintas and Kamose, who also fended off most of the attacks for Coriselle.
There was no winner in that great battle.
Peter and blood bat Lord evacuated injured, Kamose and Quintas also because of injuries can not pursue them, Coriselle although the power is strong, but he does not yet control, easy to go berserk.
Humans lost not only hundreds of thousands of troops, but also those civilians who were captured by Peter and given to the Blood Bats.
During these two years, both Kamose and Quintas became Coriselle's teachers, teaching him to better control his power.
Coriselle's talent far exceeds anyone's imagination, and he is more powerful.
They also discovered in the process that the power in Coriselle was more from Sarnus, and that I was sleeping in his consciousness space, and that Coriselle had incorporated both the power of the seal and the purifying power in me into his own body.
Gifted awakening only makes him superior to others in the ability to learn and comprehend, but more from the power given to him by Sarnus.
I used to think that was the barrier Sarnus used to protect me, and now it seems that from the beginning, Sarnus already knew this outcome.
Perhaps because Coriselle was not yet able to directly withstand the impact of Sarnus' power, he chose to give me the power, which Coriselle then kept drawing.
I couldn't help but smile. Sarnus was indeed a powerful king, and he already knew what was going to happen.
It's us who don't know anything.
Kamose has been looking for Peter, and according to the information he has received, Peter has been preparing to launch a final counter-attack with Lord Bloodbat, wanting to completely overthrow the two major races in the south and north while they have not yet fully recovered.
Klopp was still discussing with them how to respond when a soldier came running in from outside the hall.
"Your Majesty, the blood bat army is attacking the border, and this time they have sent out all the blood bats."
The soldier said to Kamose.
"This time, we're going to have to fight a tough battle, and I hope you're ready for it."
Kamose stood up.
"No problem, it's time for us to move around a bit."
Quintas stood up and smiled.
"Jenny, you just woke up, you can't follow us to the border, it's too dangerous, stay here and wait for me to come back."
Klopp said to me.
"Well, I'll definitely wait for you guys."
I smiled and nodded to him; if I insisted on going with them at this time, I would only embarrass Klopp.
So, I had another plan in mind.
After they all left the estate, I was ready to sneak off to the border.
"Jenny, you're going to the border? Are you crazy?"
Anna looked at me with wide eyes when she learned that I was going to the border.
"No, I'm not crazy, I'm normal, but that place at the border, where even my two-year-old son is, and to ask me, the mother, to stay here, I can't do it."
I said to Anna.
"But you can't even fly yet!"
Anna looked at me with a suspicious look.
"So I need you to teach me how to fly."
I said as I took her hand in mine.
"This is even easier, just concentrate some of the power in your own body on your back and you can fly, usually bloods are born with it, but you are different so it takes a little time to get used to it."
Anna was talking and I was already trying to control the wings to fly.
But it turns out that I still can't control it.
"Jenny!"
With a yell from Anna, I had fallen to the ground.
