Chapter 54: Pierre's Party
The sedan obviously couldn't fit so many people, so I had to ask Anna to find another larger car to take them away.
While waiting for Anna, the five men sat on the floor, not daring to look at me.
"Don't you worry, I'll take you back to treat your wounds."
I whispered to them.
They looked up at me and I smiled slightly at them.
After a brief moment of shock, their faces were tinged with gratitude and renewed hope.
At this point, they were like me when I first met Klopp.
"This lady, is this your new pet?"
A man's voice came from behind me.
I looked back at him and lifted the brim of my hat a little higher.
This man was half a head taller than me, slender, and looked a little thin.
But his features are quite good looking, only he can't compare with Klopp.
"What do you want?"
I asked politely.
"Nothing, just curious, why did you buy so many pets for a human? Which vampire lord is it to be dedicated to?"
He asked with a curious glance at a few people around me.
"It's my business, if you want to buy it, it's all over the street over there, don't come and grab it from me."
I said indifferently.
"My name is Pierre-Knox, my father is Colonel Takov and it's a pleasure to meet you."
Pierre reached out his hand to me.
"Jenny-Ivy."
I shook hands with him and introduced myself by name only.
"Beautiful name, can I invite you to my party tomorrow?"
Pierre asked with anticipation.
"It's my pleasure."
I replied with a smile.
His father is a colonel, so that saves me the time of asking around elsewhere for information.
"Where does your family live? I'll send a car to pick you up tomorrow."
Pierre asked happily.
"No need to pick me up, I can go by myself, you just give me the address and time."
I replied.
If he knew I was living in a vampire's manor, he wouldn't have let me attend the party.
"Here's the address and my phone number, so if you can't find it, feel free to call me."
Pierre wrote the address on a slip of paper and handed it to me.
"Jenny, I found the car, we can go back."
Anna walked up to me and said.
"Is she a ...... vampire?"
Pierre saw Anna approaching and immediately made a posture ready to attack.
"Wait a minute, she's my friend, and even though she's a vampire, she doesn't hurt people."
I stepped in front of Anna to explain to Pierre.
Pierre saw that I wasn't afraid of Anna at all and was hesitating.
"Really? How can you be friends with a vampire? They can suck blood!"
Pierre was still looking at Anna very warily.
"No, Anna is the exception, so don't be so nervous, okay? Anna, you take them to the car first."
I explained while keeping Anna away from him.
"What the hell is going on here?"
Pierre asked, looking at me in confusion.
"She has been wounded before, so she will smell like a vampire, but she is indeed my friend, and she will not hurt anyone. I hope you don't hurt her."
I said to Pierre, even though I was lying.
"So that's it, I'm sorry, I apologize for my impulsiveness earlier."
Pierre said.
I was relieved that he believed it, no matter what.
"It's okay, next time we meet, just treat her like a normal human, it will be hard for her to be looked at in a different way. We should go back, bye."
I finished with Pierre and opened the car door and got in.
Pierre waved at me with a goofy grin on his face next to me.
After the car drove out some distance, I was relieved to confirm that he was not following.
Back at the manor, Anna and Ike help treat the wounds of the five men.
The places where they had been lying were stained with blood.
Anna and Ike put on masks that can block out the smell in order to avoid being irritated by the smell of blood.
Looking at their wounds, I remembered that my own wounds were once the same as theirs, festering and bleeding.
There is hardly a piece of intact skin to be found on the whole body.
Memories pounded my brain and I didn't dare look at their wounds again, turned around and walked out.
Standing outside the door, I took a big breath of air and tried to calm myself down.
I found that those memories, even if I could restrain myself from thinking about them, left me with a psychological trauma that would remain no matter how long it took.
"Jenny, their wounds have been taken care of."
I don't know how long it took, but Anna came out and said to me.
"Work hard, I'll talk to them, and you help prepare dinner."
I said to Anna.
When I returned to the room, Ike had gotten them new clothes to put on, and although they were injured, they couldn't be naked.
Their original clothes were so dirty and torn that they could no longer wear them.
"Are you really human?"
One of the girls stood up and looked at me inquiringly.
"Yes, but my fiancé is a vampire count, but he won't hurt you, and he won't hurt me."
I explained to them.
And they all froze and looked at me in shock.
"So you're buying us to give to another vampire?"
The girl asked fearfully.
"No, I need you guys."
I said to them.
"What do you mean?"
Another girl also spoke up and asked.
"You will have to come with me when I leave this manor, and the rest of the time, you will stay here, just like me. I will pay you gold coins every month, and that's it."
I said to them.
They still expressed shock, but I could tell that they were happy.
At least you don't have to be bitten by a vampire.
"Once you leave the manor, you will only be able to address me as Miss Jenny. No matter who asks, I am only bringing you here to find my family."
My expression got serious.
Once I was back in contact with humans, I couldn't be present with Anna every time.
Sooner or later, a lie will be exposed.
They happily agreed and I led them to the lobby for dinner.
For tomorrow's party, I must have Pierre's trust enough.
That way I can always get intelligence between the vampire and human armies.
The next day at noon, Ike drove me to the place Pierre had told me about.
I looked at a beautiful and atmospheric villa in front of me and walked in under the guidance of the butler.
I wore a light blue one-shoulder dress with a hemline to the knee and my hair tied halfway up.
Anna has been praising me like a fairy tale princess, all with a noble and ladylike air.
"Jenny, you're really here, I thought you wouldn't come, I'm so happy."
Pierre said to me excitedly when he saw me.
"What is promised, of course, must be done."
I replied with a smile.
The villa was already full of young men and women who had come for the party.
When I walked into the living room, many eyes converged on me.
"Hey Pierre, where'd you find that chick? She's pretty."
A young man came up to Pierre and asked with a smile.
"Her name is Jenny, a friend I just met."
Pierre replied with a shy glance at me.
"I think you have a crush on her, don't you? Don't you forget that Kelly is coming to the party today too, and if she sees you with another girl, you're dead."
The man said with a bad smile.
"Hey Megan, can we not bring her up at this time? I've already decided to ask her to break off the engagement."
Pierre spoke disgruntledly to Megan.
