Chapter 28 On Your Head

"Hey, lady, want a ride?"
A black car pulled up in front of me and a man poked his head out of the driver's seat and waved at me.
"Wilson?"
I was a little surprised by the person who appeared in front of me.
"Let's get in the car first, just you?"
Wilson asked as he looked around.
"No, and Mr. Klopp, and Anna and Ike."
I pointed to the bushes next to me and answered.
Will Wilson got out of the car, helped to help Klopp to the car, turned around and left.
"You're curious as to why I'm here, aren't you? Everyone knows about Klopp being cut from the Count's title. So I figured you might need my help... Is he hurt?"
Wilson said as he drove, glancing at Klopp in the rearview mirror.
"Sort of, he's not doing too well right now so we need to find a place to stay as soon as possible, can you drive us to the western suburbs? I used to live there."
I said to Wilson.
"The western suburbs? A lot of old houses have been torn down there to build the Vampire Legion garrison, and your home... may not be there anymore."
Wilson said with some regret.
But there was nowhere else I could go but there.
"If you guys do need it, my grandmother has a pretty big house there and would be able to put you guys up. She lived alone for a long time, and I think that she would like you guys."
Wilson said with a smile.
"Wilson, thank you, I don't know what to say to that."
Hope was rekindled in my heart that Wilson was a great guy.
"You don't have to thank me, speaking of which, the gold Klopp gave me saved my grandmother so she could be admitted to the hospital and have a successful surgery. I don't have much income and no one would lend me the money I borrowed from many people before the expensive surgery."
Wilson said with a bitter smile.
Nearly an hour later, the sedan pulled up outside a modest house.
The gate is surrounded by a fence sprayed with white paint, with green vines twisting around it.
Wilson got out, picked Klopp up on his back and headed for the house.
"Hey Wilson, you bad boy, you haven't come to see me for so long, aren't you afraid that I'll die alone in this house and when you see me, there will be nothing left but a pile of bones?"
An elderly woman opened the door, reached out and grabbed Wilson's ear and scolded him, but her eyes were loving and thoughtful.
"Grandma, I'm very sorry, I'm just so busy with work, I promise I'll come back to see you whenever I have time in the future."
Wilson yelled in pain.
"This girl is so pretty, is she your new girlfriend? I'm very satisfied, what's her name?"
The old lady spotted me, came up to me, grabbed my hand enthusiastically and smiled a lot.
"Oh no, Grandma, she's just a friend I know, not a girlfriend, okay? I wish you would calm down a little..."
"Girlfriends all start out as friends..."
"Grandmother..."
"Is the wedding set? I have to inform your aunt that they are all coming..."
"Mrs. Olaton! I repeat, I am friends with her! What you need to do now is to help take care of the wounded!"
Wilson's grandmother kept talking, and Wilson couldn't take it anymore and eventually yelled out.
"Well, I knew you weren't capable of picking up a pretty girl back, you always have been."
Mrs. Olaton said disappointedly, turning to walk inside.
Wilson rolled his eyes helplessly and walked into a side room with Klopp on his back.
"She may be more... noisy, but you don't have to take it to heart, she's always been like that."
Wilson explained to me with an apologetic voice.
"It's okay, she's probably just too lonely."
I said with a smile.
Because, I have also felt lonely.
Ike and Anna follow, but Anna is held back by Mrs. Olaton.
"Are you married, this young lady? Would you consider Wilson?"
Mrs. Olaton pulled Anna in and smiled.
Anna looked at me awkwardly, then at Wilson, and laughed harder than she cried.
"Grandmother, she doesn't need it. And she's a vampire."
Wilson took Mrs. Olaton's hand and walked out the door, telling her as he did so.
"Oh, vampires! What? Vampires..."
Mrs. Olaton reacted, and Wilson rushed to cover her mouth and drag her away.
Anna looked at me, spread her hands helplessly and shrugged her shoulders.
"Ike, what can we do for the gentleman now?"
I looked to Ike and asked.
"The water in the holy pool is formed by mixing something else with the water blessed by the gods in the church, the effect will not be as deadly as the holy water, but the pain caused is all the same, and the thing that will help the gentleman recover is also in the church."
Ike looked very reluctant to let me go to church.
"Jenny, the lower level vampires can't get near there. The vampires that gather outside the church hate everything about the church. Humans who come out of the church will be attacked and even killed by the vampires outside. Sir can't protect you now either."
Anna said, shaking her head.
"What you want, I should have."
Mrs. Olaton appeared in the doorway of the room and said.
The three of us looked at her at once, expressing our doubts.
How will she know what we want?
Mrs. Olaton turned to walk away, and I hurried to follow, while Ike and Anna stayed in the room to watch Klopp.
In the other room, Mrs. Olaton walked slowly to a desk and pulled open a drawer.
Taking a dark red leaf out of the drawer, I had never seen such a bizarre leaf.
"This leaf has been soaked in the water of the pool of blood and watered by blood in order to grow, it can heal the wounds caused by the holy water. But you have to promise that you will leave here after he recovers, I don't want to live with three vampires."
Mrs. Olaton said to me seriously.
It turns out she could tell they were all vampires from the start.
"No problem, Mrs. Platon, thank you very much for helping us."
I sincerely bowed to Mrs. Olaton and thanked her.
"No need to thank me, when you use it, you will definitely attract a lot of vampires, as to whether you can succeed, I can't help you, but, the loss of the house, I will count it all on you."
Mrs. Olaton handed me the leaves and then walked out.
In the corner of the living room, she pulled up a plank of wood and walked down the stairs.
There should be a basement there, where she plans to hide.
I looked at the red leaves in my hand and walked to Klopp's room.
Ike and Anna were startled when they saw the leaves in my hand and looked at me with shock.
Their expressions, in addition to surprise and shock, more, is fear.
