Chapter 18 Killing Vampires
Anna walked up to me, took my arm and led me to my room.
As I passed the corner, I looked back at Klopp.
All that was left of the vampires in front of him were black ashes from the ones from earlier.
"Do vampires turn into ashes when they die?"
I asked Anna about it as I walked towards the room.
"Not normally, but just now those guys, I don't know what happened, have lost their minds, completely out of control, and I've never seen anything like it."
Anna shook her head in reply.
I suddenly remembered something and turned towards the study.
Anna followed me into the study, and I got the book of blood from the shelf.
"You recognize the Blood writing? There are some things on here that I don't even recognize."
Anna looked at me with wide eyes.
"Sir taught me that."
I replied.
Grabbed the book before I went back to my room, maybe that book would tell me something.
After Anna left, I sat alone on my bed and looked through it.
I couldn't understand some of the content, but I could guess the general meaning based on the way the text was narrated.
When I turned to the last few pages, at the bottom there was a paragraph that read
"Moonlight and magic guide the night of killing to come, and sunrise and dew will bring rebirth."
I thought carefully about the phrase, moonlight and magic?
Does magic really exist in this world?
Or is the magic it speaks of an incomprehensible phenomenon?
"Jenny, are you okay?"
Klopp pushed the door open and walked in. I was thinking and didn't even hear his footsteps, so I was taken aback.
"I'm fine, sir."
I looked back at him and answered.
"I have to tell you the very bad news, based on the information we got during this time and what happened today, there is a high possibility that the vampires in the city will be in a crisis of uncontrolled riots."
Klopp's serious expression made me realize that this matter would be extremely dangerous.
"Is it going to be a pain to deal with?"
I looked to Klopp and asked.
"I think so, so I want you to stay in your room as much as possible during this time and not go out, in a berserk state vampires, humans are absolute targets."
Klopp said, holding out a couple of anesthetics to me.
"If a vampire on the estate goes berserk, you use this. As the ruler of the city, I must be responsible for the humans or vampires under my jurisdiction, so I will be gone for a few days."
Klopp said.
I was a little sad inside, I knew I couldn't go with him in this situation, otherwise, those out-of-control vampires would not only attack me, but also him.
"Will you be in danger?"
I looked to Klopp and asked, I hoped he would return safely.
Klopp walked over to the bed and sat down with a smile on his face.
"There will be no danger to me because I am a vampire count and those cheap tricks cannot threaten me."
Klopp rubbed my head and then picked me up.
It wasn't until I walked into his room that he put me on the bed.
I stared at him with wide eyes, but Klopp didn't do anything unusual either.
Just lying quietly beside me.
Perhaps because the scene of the dead vampire affected me so much, I didn't feel sleepy.
The sound of Klopp's sleeping breath was in my ears as he faced me, an arm gently resting on my waist.
When I closed my eyes and the words from the book came to my mind again, I still didn't understand what it meant.
I don't know how long it took before I drifted off to sleep.
When I woke up, Klopp had already left the estate and there was my breakfast on the table in my room.
I just got out of bed and kicked something with a muffled thud.
It took a moment to look down and see that it was the case full of anesthetics that Klopp had brought back from Wilson's.
He probably felt that the two he gave me were not enough, so he gave me all the boxes of anesthetics.
At this dose, the elephant must have been numbed twenty times, right?
During this period, I moved only in my room and study.
There are Ike and soldiers guarding the outside, vampires can't get in here.
I found all the books in Klopp's study that were related to the Bloods and looked through them one by one.
And those books, most of them are books on the history between humans and vampires, and books on the study of humans and vampires.
The one Klopp showed me was rather unusually named "The God of Blood Bats".
I looked at it again carefully and found a brief record of one thing on it.
A hundred years ago, a nobleman of the Blood Race had discovered that there still existed a race of Blood Bats that almost no one knew about, the Blood Bats.
Unlike other blood races, although blood bats suck blood, after sucking blood, their whole body will turn blood red.
Sucking blood from the Blood Bats before draining them and using it on other Bloods will cause them to lose control and go berserk.
The text record ends here and does not state how it ended up.
I consulted books on vampire research and according to them, while vampires will suck the blood of humans or animals, they will not suck the blood of their own kind.
Because the blood of the same kind will be repulsive to their bodies.
The end result is to kill the vampire.
But I don't understand who is going to do that and what is the reason?
I stayed in the study all night, not knowing when I was sleepy enough to fall asleep.
When I woke up again, Klopp was back, but his face seemed a little pale.
And I left the study at some point and lay down on the soft bed in Klopp's room.
"Sir, are you okay?"
I called out to him softly, hoping he would respond.
Klopp slowly opened his eyes to look at me, and I was surprised to find that his eyes were tinged with a little scarlet blood.
"I'm fine, just a little tired, I'll be fine after a good night's sleep."
Klopp said to me.
Even though he didn't look too good, I didn't press the issue and just laid down next to him.
It was late in the evening before Klopp woke up.
This is probably the longest I've ever seen him sleep.
When he walked out of the room, he looked a little tired, like someone who had just run thousands of miles.
"Sir, are you injured?"
I saw Klopp walking unsteadily and rushed over to help him.
"It's okay, it's just a small problem."
Klopp replied with a smile.
"Can you let me see the wound?"
I looked up to him and pleaded.
Without answering, Klopp took my hand and headed downstairs.
I walked next to him, and although Klopp looked all right, I could hear his breathing gradually becoming rapid.
What has happened to him?
"Sir, if you're hurt, I can go to Wilson and he can help."
I was a little anxious, and although I didn't know why he didn't want anyone to know, he certainly didn't look good.
"Jenny, remember, when we get outside later, you have to cooperate with me and not let anyone find out that I am abnormal, understand?"
Klopp said to me before walking to the last step.
