Chapter 11: So this is what it feels like?
Well, Jones upset me but what he did was a pretty nice way to make up for what he did, even though I still didn't talk to him after he kissed me in class with everyone watching.
That day, everything was going fine until it was time for lunch, I walked into the cafeteria alone and someone yelled,
"Hey look, it's Angie,"
Everyone in the cafeteria looked at me and cheered, I stood where I was feeling bossy and proud even though I was a little shy.
Now I know why Victoria is annoying, being popular in school rocks, I mean people walked to me to invite me to parties and all that. A lot of people wanted to sit with me and all that. Well, I guess I became more popular than Victoria because when she walked into the cafeteria, no one noticed her. I checked the school's social page and the video of I and Jones already had more likes than he and Victoria. I never wanted high school popularity but when it came I was quite happy.
I became so popular in school that everyone wanted to hang out with me, and the best part of it was Victoria never had the guts to walk up to me and humiliate me. Sometimes when I arrive at school, some girls walk behind me just to get popular while some follow me so they would get to be my friend and attend parties that classy girls hosts.
I made new popular friends such as Ciara, Lauretta, Ella, and Trina.
One day I was at the library with my new friends, and something happened, Victoria walked towards me with two of her friends. Before, if she walk towards me I get nervous but this time I wasn't scared at all.
"Hi Angie," Victoria said,
"Yeah what?"
"I didn't come to fight, I just came to talk to you," she said,
"I don't wanna hear it,"
"Well I want to say it anyway, look I'm sorry for the way I treated you, I know I messed up and said some offensive things to you, and I'm sorry,"
"Oh now you're sorry, you kissed Jones in front of me, you humiliated me, and...."
"I'm sorry Angie," Victoria interrupted, "I guess I looked down on you so much that I never knew you would get popular,"
"Well now I am, and I have to ask Victoria is this what popularity feels like? everyone loving you, following you like you're some kind of goddess, and being invited to different parties, I have two parties to attend this weekend, and OMG I can't wait,"
Victoria chuckled,
"Yeah popularity is sweet, I was the most popular girl in school but now you've overshadowed me, which is why I came to beg you to take me as your friend, my star is dying, I went live on Instagram yesterday but I didn't even have up to a thousand viewers,"
"So how is that my problem?"
"I don't know Angie just please let me hang out with you, everyone in school loves you and because you hate me they all hate me,"
"You know it's funny because last week you took a pic with my boyfriend and this week you want me to be your friend,"
"Angie please," Victoria said holding my hand,
I sighed and rolled my eyeballs,
"Fine, but only because you begged," I said and stood up, "Class starts in 5 minutes girls, let's hit the hallway,"
I, Victoria by my left, Ciara by my right, Lauretta at my left back, Ella at my right back, and Trina at the extreme back, with the two girls who walked with Victoria headed to class, While we were in the hallway heading to class, people gave us enough space because then we were known as the hottest girls in school.
