Chapter 66: Burst the criminal

When I got home, I waited patiently for Timmy's call. While I was waiting, I was trying my possible best to stay calm because I was almost freaking out. My heart was pounding like I just ran a marathon and I wasn't comfortable.
While I was waiting for the call, my phone rang and my heart skipped a beat. I picked up my phone and looked at it but it was a call from Anita.

"Angie, are you okay, has he called yet?" I asked,

"No, I'm still waiting, I'm so scared," I said,

"Angie relax okay, you'll be alright. If he calls, just make up an excuse and don't leave your house okay?"

"Okay,"

"Update me if anything happens okay?"

"Okay," I said and ended the call.

One thing about me is I don't like it when I'm living an uncomfortable life. If I have a problem with someone, I like to settle it immediately because I don't have space for hatred in my heart, so I had a plan. I picked up my phone and called Jones, immediately his phone rang, he picked up the call.

"Hello, Angie," he said curiously,

"Hi Jones, I need your help. Can you come over to my place?" I asked,

"Sure, anything," he said

"And... Bring your car," I said,

"Alright," he said and ended the call.

A few seconds after I spoke to Jones, I received a call from Timmy. I took a deep breath and picked up the call.

"Hello Timmy,"

"Hi Angie, how are you doing ?" he asked,

"I'm good,"

"Okay, you were in school today but I didn't see you," he said,

"Yeah, I was mostly in class," I said

"Okay, so uh ... What do you say you come over,"

I chuckled,
"Timmy, you know I have a boyfriend," I said,

"Here you go again, Jones ain't no good, he's a jerk and he doesn't love you," he said but I remained quiet. "Come on, let's just hang out," he said,

"Hmmm...sure," I said,

"Cool, I'll be expecting you," he said,

After the call, I called the police and reported the case to them so two police officers came a few minutes after the call. They asked where Timmy was and I told him he was still in his house. They asked me to take them to him but I didn't, because I had a better plan.

Some minutes later, Jones arrived at my house and saw the police, he became a little confused that something might have happened but I told him everything was fine. I told him that I and the police officers were going to catch a criminal so he became curious.

I and the officers got into Jones's car and headed to Timmy's place. When we were almost at his place, I told Jones and the officers to wait in the car then I got out of the car and headed to Timmy's house.

On my way to Timmy's house, three boys came from nowhere, one stood in front of me and two stood at my back, I was a little bit kind of scared but I was okay since the police were behind me. I stood where I was and the boys walked close to me,

"Where do you think you're going?" the one in my front asked, but I didn't say anything, just as they were about to hit me, the police rushed out of the car and surrounded them. The boys raised their hands, the police officers walked to them and Cuffed them, then one of the police officers ran to Timmy's house, kicked down the door and went in, after a few minutes, he walked out of the house with Timmy. Timmy's hands were Cuffed and the officer led him to the car, before he passed me, he looked me right into my eyes without saying a word, and then the officer pushed him forward. Thereafter, another police car came by and took them to jail, when this was over, Jones walked to me and hugged me.

"It's over Baby, no one would ever hurt you again," he said. We both headed to his car, then he drove me home.

When we arrived at my place, we both stayed inside the car for a short while without saying anything.

"So, I guess you're finally free from fake friends trying to hurt you," he said,

"I don't know Jones, Timmy seemed to be a great guy, why would he want to hurt me?" I asked,

"Because he's working with Lola, and Lola is not good news," he said,

I sighed,
"It's been one hell of a semester, I've not even been able to study,"

"I get it, but you still have enough time to study, the semester is still fresh," he said.

"Yeah I know but it's just ... By this time last year I wasn't into any of this mess, I was just a normal girl minding my business and it was going fine. But now look at me, running, hiding, everyone knows me now and it's just weird," I said,

"I understand Angie,"

"No, you don't Jones, this isn't the life I want, this isn't the life I dreamed of. All I ever wanted was to go to school, graduate with all A's and go to Harvard,"

"It's still possible Angie, why talk like it's over and you don't have any hope?" Jones asked,

"Because I don't believe in myself anymore, I don't believe I can still make it," I said,

"Angie look at me, I know it's hard but you can make it, and even if you don't, school isn't the big deal, the big deal is that you become successful in life. My Dad is a billionaire but he never went to school,"

"Yeah, that reminds me where is your Dad? I've never seen him before but you talk about him,"

Jones sighed,
"I rather not talk about him," he said. I tried to ask him again but then he changed the topic, I guess he didn't want to talk about him so when we were done talking I got out of the car and headed home. Before I got in, he said he was going to pick me up tomorrow morning, and then I smiled and walked into my house.
