Chapter 51: Blackmail 2

THE NEXT DAY...

"I told you guys it won't work, Lola is one hell of a girl," Jones said to the girls he stayed with yesterday during lunch.

"How, what happened?" Victoria asked,

"I tried to convince her that I don't like Angie anymore and I want to be with her but she didn't fall for it, she recorded me saying all I said to her now she's going to play it for Angie," said Jones. The girls sighed because they didn't know what else to do.

After a few minutes, Jones's phone rang and he looked at it,
"It's Angie," he said and they all gathered round to hear what she has to say. Jones answered the phone and put it on speaker,

"Hi Angie, listen I'm....,"

"Don't," she interrupted, "Don't apologize, I heard what you told Lola, I heard everything,"

"No, Angie no please, you don't understand," Jones pleaded,

"Understand what? We haven't been together for up to six months and I've cried more than I can count, even when things are about to get better you mess up again," said Angie.

Betty collected the phone from Jones,
"Angie, it's me, Betty, if you aren't going to listen to Jones you have to listen to me," she said, "I know Jones was kinda annoying but it wasn't his fault, Lola is the cause,"

"Whose fault is it that Lola has my nudes, Jones said he was sorry yesterday and today I got a message from Lola of Jones saying how he doesn't love me," Angie said,

"Angie no, it's not like that," Betty said but before she could say anything else, Angie ended the call.

After Angie ended the call, she dropped her phone on the bed then her Mom walked in. Angie turned and looked at her Mom so she quickly cleaned her tears.

Mom walked to my bed and sat next to me without saying anything,

"Mom, aren't you suppose to be dressed up for work?" I asked but Mom didn't say anything, she politely pulled me closer and hugged me as I began to cry even more.

"It's okay, you've been through a lot, you'll be okay ... You're too young for this darling," Mom said to me,

BACK AT SCHOOL,

Jones was freaking out because he didn't know what to do. Victoria asked him to calm down but he couldn't. While they were standing in the hallway, Betty saw Lola walk to her locker so she went to meet her, when she got there, she snatched her bag from her,

"Hey that's mine," Lola said,

"Fuck you, Lola, you're a bitch," Betty said,

Lola closed her locker and smiled, then she walked closer to Betty,
"If you're looking for my phone .... Here it is," she said and pulled out the phone from her pocket. "Tell Angie to stay away from Jones or I'll press play," she said and snatched her bag from Betty then she walked away from her.

After school, Jones, Betty, Victoria and Ella went to Angie's house to see her. When one of them knocked, Angie opened the door and they were shocked to see Angie looking so horrible. Her eyes were kind of swollen because she has cried a lot, and her face was a little bit kind of red.
When I saw Jones standing out the door, I asked him to get out, but he stood there begging me to hear him out. I wanted to push him but Victoria and Ella held me and asked me to calm down. Well, we all got in at last and they explained all that happened and how Lola has been a bad friend. Honestly, when I heard what Lola did, I became so angry that I didn't know what to say. Even though I didn't know what to say, the one thing I'm sure about is the fact that Jones is at fault.
He stood up and walked to me then he knelt and apologized to me. While I watched him apologize before me, it made me even angrier because I know he would still do something annoying. I swallowed my anger and took a deep breath,
"It's okay," I said. Everyone in the room looked at me curiously because I forgave him so easily.

"You forgive me?" Jones asked,

"I'm still mad at you, but it's not your fault," I said. Jones was so happy I forgave him, he didn't show it, but I could feel it.

"Does that mean we are a couple again?" he asked,

I waited for a short while,
"I don't know," I said then he kept begging. While he was pleading, Betty walked to us,

"I know it's upsetting Angie but you have to forgive him. With all that is going on right now, you two are meant to be closer," said Betty,

"Wrong," Victoria said and we all looked at her, "We all are meant to be closer," she said then we all smiled.

"Okay we need to find a way to stop Lola," Betty said,

"Yeah, Betty you were once her friend, do you know her weakness? Like anything we could use against her," Ella asked,

"I swear if I knew I would have used it against her," Betty said, "But ... There is something she's really scared of," said Betty then we all paid close attention,

Betty lowered her voice,
"When we were in 11th grade, did you guys hear about the broken chair prank? The prank that led Mrs Jane to the hospital,"

"Yeah," Everyone said except Jones because he was in school by then.

"Okay Lola made me swear never to tell anyone but she's the one that pulled the prank," Betty said and we all gasped,

"What's the broken chair prank?" Jones asked,

"It was this prank that happened last year, someone loosed some screw in our teacher's chair and when she sat on it, she fell and got injured," said Victoria, "So Lola was the one who played the prank?" she asked,

"Yeah, so we tell Lola if she doesn't delete the pictures, we would tell Principal George she was the one that played the prank and she would be expelled," said Betty.

It was a good plan so we were so happy about it, then we dismissed and waited for the next day so we could blackmail Lola and get her to delete the pictures.
