Chapter 18: Camping day
It's finally Monday and everyone is so excited about the camping trip. I arrived at school by 7:56 AM. While I was walking to class I was so excited because I knew the amount of love and respect I got from my classmates. I walked into my class and everyone cheered me. I tried not to smile but I couldn't hold it in. A big smile appeared on my face as I headed to my seat. While I was walking to my seat Victoria and Ella walked to me,
"Hey Angie," Victoria said and hugged me, thereafter I looked at Ella and frowned,
"Ella I'm so mad at you," I said
"Me, what did I do?" Ella asked,
"Well at your party you spilt alcohol on me and when I got home my mom thought I drank alcohol,"
Victoria looked at me surprisingly,
"Wait, you didn't drink throughout the party?" She asked,
"No, I didn't, and thanks to Ella my mom thought I drank and it's so annoying, because of that we both didn't speak almost throughout the weekend, she thinks this Angie is a changed person now,"
"Of course you are a changed person," Ella said,
"What?" I asked,
"Think about it Angie, you're no longer that old straight-A student anymore, you're the most popular girl in school now," said Ella,
"She's right," Victoria said and stood on my chair, "Hey everyone, give it up for Angie," she yelled as everyone began to cheer me again.
Shortly after, our second geography teacher Mrs Stella walked into the class,
"Alright, guys, who is ready for camping?" She asked as everyone shouted happily. "Alright, let's go," she said. While everyone was heading out, I looked around and noticed Jones wasn't in class. I pulled out my phone and called him but his number wasn't reachable so I picked up my camping bag and followed my mates downstairs.
We all arrived at the bus and our geography teacher raised her voice,
"Alright guys, hope everyone is here?" she asked, I wanted to tell her Jones wasn't in school yet but I couldn't. As much as I was popular, I was still shy. While I was thinking about how to tell our geography teacher about Jones, Jimmy raised his hand,
"Hey, where is Jones?" he asked. When he asked this I felt like giving him a big hug. Everyone looked around and noticed he wasn't with us.
"Okay, where is Jones, Has someone tried calling him?" Our geography teacher asked but then I replied,
"I tried calling him but his number wasn't reachable,"
"Okay so what should we do now? we can't delay the trip because of one person," Our geography teacher said then everyone began to murmur. "Okay okay if he's not here in 10 minutes we would leave, is that okay?" Our geography teacher asked and everyone agreed to it.
Later on, Victoria and the other girls walked to me,
"Angie, where is Jones?" One of the girls asked,
"I don't know, I've been calling him but his number isn't going,"
"Relax Angie, I know Jones, he would be here," said Victoria,
"He should hurry," I said,
"Relax Angie," Victoria said and chuckled, "He would be here,"
While I was with Victoria and the other girls, Jimmy walked to me, before he said anything Ella walked to him and kissed him which got him silent for a few seconds, we all looked at Ella weirdly but we didn't say or do anything.
"Uh...any..ways have you heard from Jones?" Jimmy asked,
"Not yet," I said,
"You want us to go find him?" Jimmy asked,
"Uh... I don't think it would be a good idea, if we leave to find Jones, the rest would leave us,"
While we were talking, we began to hear people shout so we turned and saw everyone hailing Jones.
"You see, I told you all he would be here," Victoria said to me. Jones walked to me and smiled, I asked why he was late but before he spoke our geography teacher asked us to get into the bus now Jones has arrived.
Everyone got into the bus and sat next to their friends, our geography teacher sat next to the driver while i and Jones sat together in the back seat. I was sitting next to the window and Jones was sitting next to me.
The journey commenced and it was a lively one. The bus was a little noisy and everyone was having fun. I'm a very boring person and I didn't know what to talk to Jones about, I couldn't even look at his face because I was shy. I was looking outside the window and enjoying the ride until Jones placed his arms around my neck,
"You're good?" He asked,
I smiled and looked at him,
"Yeah, yeah I'm good,"
"You've been quiet ever since,"
"Yeah," I said and sighed, "I don't fancy talking when I'm on the road," I said and looked outside the window
"I see, you rather look outside the window,"
"Yeah, I enjoy seeing other cars passing by, feeling the fresh air, and of course nature,"
"Yeah," he said, "And do you know what I enjoy looking at when I'm on the road?"
I looked at him,
"No?"
"You,"
A big smile appeared on my face,
"Stop it Jones, it's been less than a semester since we met so how am I the best thing you like to see on the road?"
"Well now you're the best,"
I chuckled,
"No, I'm not,"
"Yes, you are,"
"No I'm not Jones," I said as we both laughed and looked at each other, "You have the prettiest eyes Angie," he said which got me speechless, "I'm so happy I got to meet you before someone else Did, I love you Angie, and I would always be by your side. I'm just scared that one day you will leave me and...,"
"Jones No," I interrupted, "I can never leave you, we both had sex and now it's like I'm addicted to you,"
"So if we never had sex you won't be addicted to me?"
"No, no no no that's not what I meant, I've been addicted to you ever since but the sex made me even more addicted,"
"I promise I won't leave you, baby, should we pinky swear?" He asked and raised his pinky finger, I smiled and twirled my pinky finger with his, "I swear," we both said and sealed it with a kiss.
